Description

The invention relates to a refill for a cosmetic stick made from a spreadable cosmetic mass intended for consumption and to a method for producing the cosmetic stick.

In a known cosmetic pen (DE-PS 32 15 215) the refill is filled into a sleeve, from which it is pushed out according to its consumption with a stamp, which increasingly penetrates the sleeve by rotating a grip part of the cosmetic pencil relative to the sleeve and the rear Pushes the end of the mine in front of you. Depending on the filling method, the lead adheres to the inside of the sleeve to a greater or lesser extent, with higher adhesive forces occurring in particular with sleeves made of plastic. It can happen that the stamp, which is provided with an external thread and whose outside diameter is somewhat smaller than the inside diameter of the sleeve, penetrates into the soft lead material, while the lead adheres to the inside wall of the sleeve.

In contrast, the present invention has for its object to avoid such destruction of the mine, even if the aforementioned adhesive forces occur undiminished.

This object is achieved in the case of the mine in that it is extended at its rear end by a plug of wax or the like. When it cools to room temperature, the material solidifies, which forms an extension piston, the cross section of which corresponds to that of the mine.

For the production of the mine, this proposal means a relatively small additional effort, which consists in filling wax to form the wax plug in a filling station. This can be done within the same filling station through a second supply line for the wax or in two successive filling stations, the cosmetic mass and then the wax being expediently filled in because of the difference in density. The wax hardened into a plug acts like a piston made of solid material. The stopper lies sealingly against the inner wall of the sleeve and can be easily pushed forward by the stamp screwing increasingly into the sleeve in the sleeve, displacement of the spreadable cosmetic composition behind the stopper being impossible.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention, cosmetic mass and wax plugs are used instead of being poured into a mold directly into the sleeve of the cosmetic pencil. In this way, there is no need to separately move the lead provided with the plug from the casting mold into the sleeve.

The method according to the invention or the use of the refill according to the invention enables in particular the use of cosmetic pencils with a simple structure, i.e. while avoiding another component, which has the function of the extension piston. In a known cosmetic pen (DE-PS 37 28 427), the stamp has at its front end such a component in the form of a cup which is open towards the front and into which the associated end of a refill made of soft cosmetic material is inserted. This solution is disadvantageous both because of the larger number of its components and because of its complex assembly.

While the brushable component of the lead corresponds to the cosmetic masses customary for eyeliners or eyeshadow sticks, any wax that is solid at ambient temperature, in particular hard wax, for example simple candle wax (paraffin), can be used as the material for the wax plug. The wax is in the sleeve or in poured a special mold in the liquefied state, expediently directly on the liquid level of the cosmetic mass already filled. Since this has a higher density than the wax, there is no mixing of the two materials, so that the entire volume of the cosmetic composition is available for cosmetic use.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. It shows

Fig. 2
two filling stations for producing the mine according to the invention.

Durch Verdrehen des Griffteils 2 gegenüber der Hülse 4 schraubt sich der Stempel 3 mit seinem Außengewinde zunehmend durch die Gewindebohrung 9 der Hülse 4 in deren Inneres hinein.1 shows a cosmetic stick 1 with a handle part 2, a stamp 3 accommodated therein, and a sleeve 4 which is rotatably but axially immovably received in the handle part. The lead 5 is filled into the sleeve 4. It comprises the actual cosmetic composition 6 and in its rearward extension a plug 7 made of hard wax. The end face 8 of the stamp 3 presses against the stopper 7, which pushes the soft cosmetic mass 6 in front of it like a piston, the further the stamp 3 screws into the interior of the sleeve 4. For this purpose, the stamp 3 is arranged in the interior of the handle part 2 in a rotationally fixed but axially displaceable manner. By rotating the grip part 2 relative to the sleeve 4, the stamp 3 with its external thread increasingly screws through the threaded bore 9 of the sleeve 4 into its interior.

In station I, the soft cosmetic mass is filled into the sleeve 4. For this purpose, the outer end of the sleeve 4 is inserted into a corresponding bore in a casting mold 10. A cannula 11 loaded with cosmetic mass, which is shown in the retracted position, penetrates from this position through the bore of the internal thread 9 into the sleeve 4 up to a lower position shown in dash-dotted lines and, during its retraction movement upwards, takes care of the filling of the cosmetic mass 6.

In the following station II, the plug of hard wax is filled in, whereby the heated wax is applied in liquid form through a further cannula 12 to the liquid level of the cosmetic composition 6 in the lower filling position of the cannula 12, shown in dash-dot lines. Due to the lower density of wax, it does not mix with the cosmetic composition 6. After filling in the two filling stations, the sleeve 4 is mounted inside the handle part 2, as shown in FIG. 1; an annular bead 13 projecting inside the handle part 2 forms a snap connection with a corresponding annular groove 14 of the sleeve 4.
