Abstract

A collector (1) for animal excrement is proposed, in which a gripper-shaped or shovel-shaped holding device (5) for a collecting bag (15) can be extended from an outer tube (2). By extending an intermediate pipe (3), the splayed elements (6) of the holding device (5) are brought together and the animal excrement is grasped. The tubes can in this connection have a round or angular cross-section. A catch device (8, 9, 10) can be provided, which can be actuated from outside and fixes the intermediate tube (3) in an intermediate position, in which the intermediate tube (3) projects partially from the outer pipe (2) and in which the holding device (5) is at least partially pushed together in relation to its splayed position by the intermediate tube (3). As a result, it is possible to move the device away from the ground before the intermediate tube (3) is finally pushed over the holding device, so that damage of the intermediate tube (3) on impact on the ground as well as a painful wrist for the operator are avoided. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a receiving device for animal excrement according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a device is known from DE-A-24 13 126. On page 2 of the description, at the end of the second paragraph, it indicates resilient arms between which the receiving bag can be pushed.

A similar device - but with an inner rod instead of a tube - is known from US-A-44 66 647. This device also has two spreader arms which can be moved out of the outer tube and can thereby be spread in order to hold a receiving bag between them.

It is advantageous in the case of both previously known devices that the tools can be drawn into the outer tube when not in use and thus covered. A disadvantage of both known devices, however, is that a bag is struck around the arms is or is stretched between the arms, is inevitably pulled with a portion of its upper open end over the floor and thus through the dirt, so that contamination of the hands is inevitable if the bag is then to be closed.

Hierdurch würde die Verschmutzungsgefahr für den Benutzer des bekannten Gerätes erheblich vergrößert.DE-A-24 13 126 therefore proposes that the inner tube, after the dog's droppings be caught, be drawn back into the outer tube under the action of a spring so quickly that the collecting bag tears off and can, for example, remain on the side of the road. The receiving bag should therefore no longer be touched at all. Depending on the material thickness of the bag used, it is questionable whether it actually tears off immediately or is pulled on and partially into the outer tube due to the spring action and then bursts in a highly undesirable manner. This would considerably increase the risk of contamination for the user of the known device.

In US-A-44 66 647, on the other hand, there is a risk that the two spreader arms, which are not covered by the bag, become dirty, so that on the one hand the inside of the device is also dirty, and on the other hand there may be an odor nuisance due to the pollution and thirdly, the clothing of the device user can be unintentionally soiled by the dirt on the device.

The invention has for its object to improve a generic device for receiving animal excrement in such a way that both the recording of animal excrement and the disposal of the used pouch can be done hygienically and safely.

This object on which the invention is based is achieved by the design of a generic device according to the features of claim 1.

In other words, the invention proposes to create a pliers-like two-part holding device, into which a bag can be inserted, which can be wrapped around the spreading vane elements over a large area. When open, the shovel is placed over the animal excrement and down to the ground. It is then closed by moving the intermediate tube out of the outer tube and over the two blade elements under spring pressure.

The receiving bag only moves with its middle area over the floor, its outer edge area, which is turned back far, remains free of dirt. Because an intermediate tube can be lowered from the outer tube around the spreading blade elements, these two sub-elements of the holding device are inevitably closed, so that the animal excrement is safely accommodated between them within the bag.

Unintentional loosening or opening of the receptacle is not possible, since they are held together by the intermediate tube that closes around them. The free and unpolluted end of the bag can now be gripped so that the bag can be closed and disposed of without the risk of the user becoming dirty.

Weitere vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind den Unteransprüchen entnehmbar.Further advantageous refinements can be found in the subclaims.

In the drawings, 1 shows a device according to the invention for receiving animal excrement, which comprises an outer tube 2, an intermediate tube 3 and a support body 4. The support body 4 carries a holding device 5, which consists of two blade halves 6 and a bent wire bracket 7. The wire bracket 7 is bent in a substantially U-shaped manner in its rear interior area, the two arms of the holding device 5 being bent substantially V-shaped to one another in the further course. Because of their spring elasticity, they spread when the holding device, as shown in FIG. 2, is pushed or pulled out of the tube.

In the pushed-together position shown in FIG. 1, a spring-loaded locking lug 8 engages a front recess 9 of the intermediate tube 3. If the locking lug 8 is moved upward by pressure on a lever 10, the intermediate tube 3 slides from its retracted position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 into an advanced or extended position shown in FIG. 3 Position. The intermediate tube 3 is moved out of the outer tube 2 by a spiral spring 11. Instead of the spiral spring, another form of energy storage can be used to move the intermediate tube 3 out of the outer tube 2. For example, the drive can take place by means of a battery or accumulator in connection with an electric motor. The intermediate tube 3 is held in its extended position by the engagement of the locking lug 8 in a rear recess 12.

In order to use the receiving device, the holding device 5 is first pulled out of the outer tube 2 and the intermediate tube 3 by means of a suitable traction device in relation to the rest position shown in FIG. 1. This pull-out movement is determined and limited by the length of a thread 14. The spring action of the wire bracket 7 expands the blade halves 6. The receiving space between them for the animal excrement is enlarged in this way and enables the insertion of a receiving bag, which is indicated schematically by 15. The open end 16 of the receiving bag 15 can be wrapped far around the holding device 5.

The ready-to-use receiving device is now brought over the animal excrement, so that the animal excrement is between the two Blade halves 6 are located within the receiving bag 15.

At the pressure of the lever 10, the intermediate tube 3 is now driven out of the outer tube 2 by the spiral spring 11. This extending movement brings together the previously spread blade halves 6, so that an almost closed receiving space for the animal excrement is created. The intermediate tube 3 moves between the two arms of the wire bracket 7 on the one hand and the loosely turned end of the receiving bag 15 on the other. The receiving bag is only dirty on the inside and in the forehead region of the blade halves 6, where it was pressed onto the floor by the blade halves 6. Therefore, the folded-over area of the receiving bag 15 is not contaminated up to its peripheral open end 16, so that in this area the receiving bag 15 can be gripped and closed without problems, for example knotted.

Now either the intermediate tube 3 together with the holding device 5 and the filled receiving bag 15 can be pressed back into the outer tube 2 against the action of the spiral spring 11, so that the animal excrement taken up can be transported safely, without contamination and without odor until it is appropriately disposed of.

As an alternative to this, the intermediate tube 3 can, however, also be pushed back individually into the outer tube 2, so that the holding device 5 spreads again and the filled and closed receiving bag 15 can be removed and disposed of. Then the clean and still spread Holding device 5 are inserted into the intermediate tube 3.

In Fig. 3, the intermediate tube 3 is shown extended compared to Figs. 1 and 2. 1 to 3 with such an extended intermediate tube 3, whereby the outer tube 2 can be extended accordingly, creates a storage space in the front area of the receiving device 1. When the intermediate tube 3 by the force of the spring 11, the two arms of the wire bracket 7 pressed together and thus brought together the two blade halves 6, the knotted end of the receiving bag 15 can be arranged in this storage space.

In this way, when the intermediate tube 3 has subsequently been returned into the outer tube 2 against the action of the spring 11, no elements of the receiving device 5 or the receiving bag 15 protrude beyond the outer dimensions of the receiving device 1, so that a risk of contamination is further minimized.

The storage space in the front area of the receiving device 1 can be completely closed off by a cover, as is also shown in FIG. 3. The lid should cover at least the intermediate tube 3 and thus the storage space created. The cover can, as shown in Fig. 3, be adapted to the intermediate tube 3. However, it can also cover both the intermediate tube 3 and the receiving tube 2, so that in this case it would only be placed on the receiving device 1 when the intermediate tube 3 has been returned to the outer tube 2.

With the help of such a cover, both dirt and unpleasant smells are advantageously effectively prevented.

In this, the largest opening of a blade can be achieved by using two blade halves, which have their parting plane in the middle of the tube, as shown. Alternatively, as can be seen in FIG. 4, a tube with a square cross section can be used. In this case, the holding device 5 can have a one-piece blade 6a, the wire bracket 7a carrying on its second arm a cover 17 which, when the holding device 5a is folded, closes the receiving space for the animal excrement.

The accuracy of fit between the lid 17 and the blade 6a is such that, similarly to the first exemplary embodiment in FIGS. 1 to 3, a receiving bag 15 can be used and inserted into the blade 6a. The open end 16 of the receiving bag 15 can, as in the first embodiment, be turned far around the blade 6a and the lid 17 in order to enable the closing of the receiving bag 15 hygienically and without risk of contamination for the user after use of the receiving device.

Both the exemplary embodiments shown and described enable the animal excrement to be gripped securely, with the receiving bag 15 inside a protective holding device 5 is accommodated, so that it cannot lead to contamination or odor nuisance due to damage even if it is kept for a longer time or a longer distance within the holding device until it is disposed of. In addition, the holding device provides mechanical stability when gripping the animal excrement, which the bag alone does not offer.

In FIG. 4, the thread 14 is guided as a retaining means for the receiving device 5a through the bottom of the intermediate tube 3a to the bottom of the outer tube 2a. In the first embodiment, the thread 14 limits the movement of the holding device 5 with respect to the intermediate tube 3. When the spring 11 is released by actuating the lever 10, both the intermediate tube 3 and the holding device 5 are pressed out of the outer tube 2. Due to the spread position of the wire bracket 7, the intermediate tube 3 pushes the receiving device 5 in front of it. This means that the receiving device 1 must be pressed onto the ground with a certain contact pressure so that the intermediate tube 3 moves over the spread wire bracket 7 and thereby moves the two blade halves 6 towards one another.

The pressure exerted on the floor ensures that the entire manure bale is completely and carefully picked up. However, the merging of the two blade halves 6 may be impaired by the strong ground pressure if the ground is uneven.

The embodiment shown in Fig. 4 with the corresponding course of the thread 14a enables, even without counterpressure, the intermediate tube 3a to move over the two arms of the wire bracket 7a and thus to close the blade 6a and the lid 17, since these cannot be removed further from the outer tube 2a. In this way, the closing movement of the receiving device 5a is possible even with little or no ground pressure.

Transparent receptacle bags 15 can advantageously be used, it also being possible to use transparent elements in the area of the blade halves 6 to the blade 6a or the cover ice 17. In this way it can be monitored more easily that the filled receiving bag 15 can be accommodated in a space-saving manner and with its entire contents in the area of the blades.

The use of a trapezoidal bag, which is essentially adapted to the course of the spread wire bracket 7, is advantageous. In this way, there are no excess bag areas in the interior of the receiving device 1 that could possibly interfere. With a trapezoidal bag 15, the wide-open end 16 of the receiving bag 15 also means that it is particularly easy to reach under the folded-over areas of the receiving bag 15 and so the bag 15 can be gripped and closed without contamination.

In FIG. 5, 101 generally denotes a device for receiving animal excrement, which consists of an outer tube 102 and an intermediate tube 103, one inside the intermediate tube 103 Holding device 104 is provided, which can serve to hold a plastic bag and is provided with two blades 105, which are connected to one another by a common spring 106, the springs 106 automatically causing the two blades 105 to expand as soon as they are pulled out of the intermediate tube 103 will.

The movement of the holding device 104 out of the intermediate tube 103 is limited by a telescopic device 107, so that this telescopic device 107 represents a stop for the extending movement of the holding device 104. This stop works very reliably, is mechanically very stable and ensures a good function over a long time.

The spreading blades 105 of the holding device 104 are brought together so that the animal excrement is automatically picked up as soon as the intermediate tube 103 is moved out of the outer tube 102, for example by the force of a spring 108.

If this movement takes place in a single sequence of movements, the force of the spring 108 can move the intermediate tube 103 out of the outer tube 102 so quickly that the intermediate tube 103 hits the ground with great force. On the one hand, this can damage the entire device 101 and, on the other hand, can cause pain in the wrist of the operator.

According to the invention, the device 101 therefore has an operating rocker 109, which is provided on both sides with locking projections. A front locking projection 110 engages in an opening 111 of the intermediate tube 103 and holds the intermediate tube 103 against the force of the spring 108 in the outer tube 102. In this retracted position, the two blades 105 of the holding device 104 can be pulled out of the intermediate tube 103 and thus automatically expanded.

The operating rocker 109 has a rear latching projection 112 at its rear end. If the operating rocker 109 is depressed at its rear end, the front latching projection 110 is moved on the one hand out of the opening 111 in the intermediate tube 10, so that the intermediate tube 103 is driven out of the outer tube under the force of the spring 108. Furthermore, this movement of the actuating rocker 109 moves the rear latching projection 112 into a recess 114 cut obliquely into the intermediate tube 103, a stop 115 for the rear latching projection 112 being created at the end of this recess 114. In this way, the movement of the intermediate tube 103 is limited.

A movement of the intermediate tube 103 is advantageously permitted, which moves the blades 105 out of their spread position and thus closes the holding device 104. This partial movement of the intermediate tube 103 up to its first latching position therefore causes the animal excrement to be picked up, so that the entire device 101 can then be lifted up.

In this position away from the ground, this can now front end of the rocker 109 are depressed. As a result, the rear latching projection 112 is removed from the stop 115 of the depression 114. The intermediate tube 103 is now finally moved by the spring 108 out of the outer tube 102 to the permissible extent. The intermediate tube 103 completely receives the holding device 104. The intermediate tube 103 with the holding device 104 arranged and filled therein can now be inserted into the outer tube 102 by hand, the spring 108 being compressed. As before taking animal excrement, the holding device 104 can then be pulled out of the intermediate tube 103 by hand in order to dispose of the plastic bag together with the animal excrement contained therein.
