Abstract

The invention relates to a device for changing over the rotation speed of an electric motor having a plug which can be connected in different positions to the plug holder of the electric motor and thereby produces different connections of the motor windings, and hence different motor rotation speed steps, depending on the insertion position, - at least one further plug position, with the associated winding circuit, being arranged on one of the two ends of the plug position row/winding circuit row, in addition to the two or more plug positions and the respectively produced winding connections which are present for the rotation speed steps of a first voltage level, - this further plug position being blocked during use of the first voltage level, - the further plug position being accessible, and the plug position existing at the opposite end of the plug position row/winding circuit row being blocked when using a second voltage level. <IMAGE>
