Definitions
- the invention relates to a dewatering device for the wet end of a paper machine with strips lying transversely to the direction of wire travel, which are fastened to supports arranged transversely to the direction of travel and are adjustable individually or in groups in the direction of the paper machine screen, with the bars being adjustable by the participation of Force elements a desired force or pressure effect can be exerted on the paper machine screen, in particular for dewatering and formation of the fibrous layer on the screen.
- the invention has for its object to provide a drainage device in which both the largely individual adjustment of the forming strips is possible, as well as a sensitive, jamming-free adjustment via the necessary adjustment paths.
- the carriers are mechanically connected to one another with couplings and can be displaced on guides in the direction of the paper machine sieve, the carriers and couplings being designed in such a way that they leave sufficient free space for the water coming from the sieve to pass through that the group of the jointly adjustable strips consists of two, three or four strips, so that by combining a relatively small number of individual strips, there remains sufficient possibility for individual adjustment of the strips against the sieve, and also with the strips through the participation of the adjustable, Seen in the running direction of the screen, successive force elements, the desired force or pressure effect can be exerted on the paper machine screen and the force elements are designed and positioned so that they can also generate moments that are able to withstand the tilting moments caused by the frictional force between the ledge and sieve to counteract.
- the measures mentioned in claim 1 very advantageously achieve that the inevitable tilting moments can be derived into the force elements, which not only generate the required contact pressure of the strips, but also absorb the moment in the inventive design of the drainage device. This prevents the guides from jamming, which allow movement in the direction of the screen and back.
- the force elements can be designed so that there is still enough space between them in order to be able to drain the water from this area quickly and with little hindrance.
- the force elements 2 are in turn supported on the paper machine frame 20.
- the force sources 8 located in the force elements are filled with a pressure medium which generates the required force.
- the individual strips 1 fastened on supports 5 are mechanically connected to one another with the aid of couplings 5 ′ which are rigidly embodied here.
- Fig. 2 + 3 show similar drainage devices, but only two strips 1 are combined in a group and the force elements 8, 8 'are shown here by way of example as hoses that can be filled with pressure medium (Fig. 2 or bellows Fig. 3).
- the water 4 ′ which is discharged during operation of the device below the sieve 3 is made visible, which has been omitted in the other drawings for the sake of simplicity.
- the coupling 5 'between the supports 5 can also, as shown in FIG. 4, be provided with a joint 5 ".
- the carrier 5 enables, since the frictional force moments generate opposing forces in the joint.
- FIG. 5 allows the independent adjustment of adjacent strips 1, since a force that is essentially independent of the path can be generated by a force-generating component 26.
- This causes lever 25 and 25 ', which are rigidly connected to adjacent supports 5, the desired supporting moment and at the same time allows a change in position of a bar 1 with respect to the sieve.
- Such a measure can be advantageous, for example, in the case of greatly exaggerated groin wear, but also to be able to regulate the pressing force more precisely.
- FIG. 6 A further possibility is shown in FIG. 6, in which four strips 1 are mounted on a frame 19 which is supported on power sources 8 '.
- the guides are not visible, with which the frame 19, the effect of which corresponds to that of the carrier and couplings, can be displaced in the direction of the paper machine wire 3.
- FIGS. 7 to 10 possible variants of the invention are shown in each case on only one bar with an associated force element.
- a power source is used, the power application of which is offset behind the power application on the bar 1, while in the embodiment of FIG. 8 a power source 9 is provided to solve the task, the rear wall structure 14 of which is designed so that it is in the Operation generates a stronger force towards the screen than the areas of this power source located further forward.
- the strips 1 can be adjusted by moving the sliding parts 12 in the direction of the sieve. These sliding parts are guided in cross members 21 which extend essentially across the width of the paper machine.
- a deformable hose filled with pressure medium serves as the power source in FIG. 9 and a pressure chamber in FIG. 10.
- the guide surfaces between the cross member 21 and the sliding part 12 are lubricated by a medium reducing the frictional force.
- water is used for this purpose, which emerges in a targeted amount from the guide gap between cross member 21 and sliding part 12 and can be used for cleaning or rinsing the strip 1.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a dewatering device for the wet end of a paper machine with strips lying transversely to the direction of wire travel, which are fastened to supports arranged transversely to the direction of travel and are adjustable individually or in groups in the direction of the paper machine screen, with the bars being adjustable by the participation of Force elements a desired force or pressure effect can be exerted on the paper machine screen, in particular for dewatering and formation of the fibrous layer on the screen.
The application disclosed in EP-A-0 421 219, which falls under Article 54 (3) EPC, shows formation strips from which drainage devices of the specified type can be formed which correspond to the closest prior art. This publication has the possibility of making strips individually adjustable in order to be able to adjust their position or force effect on the paper machine screen as required. Depending on the operating conditions under which these strips are used, especially if longer adjustment paths are required, these strips may become jammed and bent. One of the main reasons for this is that at the point where the strips touch the screen, frictional forces occur which, due to the leverage effect, generate a moment to be absorbed by the guides of the strip adjustment and thereby lead to jamming. Since in this area the paper machine has to be adjusted or regulated with high precision, pronounced disadvantages arise in the production of a high-quality paper sheet as a result of the adjustment mechanism not working precisely.
Other drainage devices are also known (see, for example, EP-A-0 251 779), in which a multiplicity of strips are mounted on a frame and the frame can be pressed against the paper machine screen by corresponding force elements. Such constructions are easier to build without jamming, but individual adjustment of the individual molding strips is not possible.
The invention has for its object to provide a drainage device in which both the largely individual adjustment of the forming strips is possible, as well as a sensitive, jamming-free adjustment via the necessary adjustment paths.
This object is achieved in that the carriers are mechanically connected to one another with couplings and can be displaced on guides in the direction of the paper machine sieve, the carriers and couplings being designed in such a way that they leave sufficient free space for the water coming from the sieve to pass through that the group of the jointly adjustable strips consists of two, three or four strips, so that by combining a relatively small number of individual strips, there remains sufficient possibility for individual adjustment of the strips against the sieve, and also with the strips through the participation of the adjustable, Seen in the running direction of the screen, successive force elements, the desired force or pressure effect can be exerted on the paper machine screen and the force elements are designed and positioned so that they can also generate moments that are able to withstand the tilting moments caused by the frictional force between the ledge and sieve to counteract.
The following subclaims show particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention.
The measures mentioned in

Fig. 2 + 3 show similar drainage devices, but only two
The coupling 5 'between the
The embodiment shown in FIG. 5 allows the independent adjustment of
A further possibility is shown in FIG. 6, in which four
In the following FIGS. 7 to 10, possible variants of the invention are shown in each case on only one bar with an associated force element.
According to FIG. 7, a power source is used, the power application of which is offset behind the power application on the
In the
Even if the invention in the drawings was only explained on strips arranged essentially one behind the other in the running direction, other, that is to say inclined or vertical, are also possible as long as the sieves are guided accordingly.
It is readily conceivable that the aforementioned embodiments of the invention can be combined in an advantageous manner.
