Une unité de propulsion éolienne, destinée en particulier aux bouées de sauvetage, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend: un élément (4) devant être relié à au moins un emplacement sur la bouée (1); un mât (5) monté sur ledit élément connecteur (4) afin de supporter une voile (6); un aileron (7) rigide, solidaire de l'élément connecteur (4) et s'étendant au-dessous de ladite bouée (1); un gouvernail (8) fixé à l'aileron (7) par des charnières; et des éléments (18) de commande du gouvernail fixés audit élément connecteur.
