Abstract

The invention relates to an auxiliary switch for an electromagnetic switching device with two pressure springs (2, 3) arranged outside the axis of movement (1) of the contact bridge bearer (10), said springs being borne after the manner of a two-armed toggle joint with one end in one of the blind holes or the like formed in opposite sides of the contact bridge bearer (10) and with the other end in one of the recesses provided in the housing sections (A, B) and having a negative return spring characteristic against the tension of the drive.

Description

The invention relates to an auxiliary switch for an electromagnetic switching device which contains in a multi-part housing equipped with fixed contacts a position-secured by means of a compression spring and movable when the drive is excited / not excited against the spring force provided with bridge contacts.

Auxiliary switches with positively driven auxiliary contacts, which can be designed as make and / or break contacts, for mounting on electromagnetic contactors are known. Usually, the compression spring, which holds the contact bridge carrier against the tensile force of the magnet, is subsequently arranged in the axis of movement of the contact bridge carrier and accommodated in a corresponding space formed by the housing parts enclosing the contact bridge carrier.

The invention has for its object to develop the known auxiliary switch in such a way that the balance of forces of the electromagnetic switching device and thus the response values of the basic device are changed only slightly by the attachment of an additional auxiliary switch.

This object is achieved for an auxiliary switch in such a way that two pressure springs arranged outside the axis of movement of the contact bridge support in the manner of a two-armed toggle joint are each mounted with one end in a blind hole or the like formed on opposite sides of the contact bridge support and with the other end in a recess provided in the housing parts and have a negative return spring force characteristic against the tensile force of the drive.

The arrangement according to the invention of two inclined compression springs, in particular helical springs, causes a lower counterforce with increasing stroke, i.e. when the spring axes approach the perpendicular to the stroke movement axes. The object of the invention is thus achieved. This arrangement of two compression springs also allows the overall length of the auxiliary switch to be reduced without restricting the spring travel.

In a further development of the invention, the principle of the negative spring characteristic for the restoring force is to be carried out in such a way that the spring axes of the compression springs in the holding state (when the magnet is excited) run almost perpendicular to the axis of movement of the contact bridge carrier.

A simplified assembly of the auxiliary switch is possible according to a further proposal of the invention in that in the housing parts on the side facing the contact bridge carrier recesses have a push-through opening to the top of the housing, through which the compression springs can be inserted when the housing is mounted. This means that the compression springs are only inserted with the housing parts after the contact bridge support has been installed. The housing parts of the auxiliary switch can be positively connected to one another, for example, by means of locking lugs protruding along the dividing joint on the housing walls of a housing part and assigned locking grooves on the second housing part. In a preferred embodiment of the housing parts of the auxiliary switch it is provided that the recess for the storage and support of the compression spring in each housing part between the Contact switching chambers of the housing parts is provided centrally as a chamber directed into the interior of the housing.

It should be noted that the principle of the negative spring characteristic by means of two C-shaped wire springs or the use of two inclined springs acting against each other, which cause a lower counterforce with increasing travel, is known for the armature feedback of electromagnetic switching devices, for which only for example patent application K 10523 dated April 29, 1951, which is referred to DE-OS 33 40 904, DE-AS 23 50 914, DE-OS 28 48 287 and EP-OS 00 91 082.

A, B, the contact bridge support 10 and the compression springs 2, 3. The contact bridge support 10 is equipped with the bridge contacts 101 as make and / or break contacts in a known manner and has in Region of one end on the upper side 103 of the protruding switching plunger 102. The bearing block 104, which has blind holes 105 and 107 directed towards the two sides and which are separated by the partition 106, is integrally formed on the top of the contact bridge carrier 10. The partition 106 at the foot of the blind holes forms the bearing surface for the compression springs 2, 3 and is preferably arranged slightly inclined to the longitudinal axis 1 of the contact bridge support 10, so that the spring axes 201, 301 in in the switched-on state and also in the switched-off state in a concave position with respect to the plane 108 running perpendicular to the movement axis 1 of the contact bridge support 10 through the spring center point on the contact bridge support.

The housing halves A, B have the switching chambers 35, 45 on their outer side, an intermediate chamber 46 and 36 comprising the recesses 43, 33 for receiving the compression springs 2, 3 being provided in the center between two switching chambers 45. The fixed contacts 4 are provided on the side facing the housing interior. Above the fixed contacts 4, the receiving space for supporting the one end of the compression springs 2, 3 in the form of the recesses 43 and 33 in the housing parts is formed approximately centrally in the housing. The recesses 33, 43 form a space widening towards the contact bridge support 10, the rear wall on which the compression springs 2 and 3 are supported does not run parallel to the movement axis 1 of the contact bridge support, but at a small angle α of approximately 10 to 20 degrees is inclined from the axis of movement 1. The bearing surfaces in the blind holes 105, 107 of the contact bridge support for the compression springs are also arranged parallel to this rear wall. It is hereby achieved according to the invention that in the excited state of the drive of the contactor, see FIG. 3, the spring force of the compression springs against the drive of the contactor approaches zero in the tightened state, but has no dead center passage, rather the spring axes are always smaller at an angle β 90 degrees to the axis of movement 1 of the contact bridge support 10 remain.

In contrast, in the de-energized state of the drive of the contactor according to FIG. 2, the spring force of the compression springs 2, 3 is greatest in the “switch-off direction” of the contact bridge carrier 10. When the spring force of the compression springs 2, 3 is mentioned here, the component of the compression springs acting in the direction of the axis of movement 1 of the contact bridge support 10 is meant. The back pressure force of the compression springs 2, 3 is lowest in the activated stage of the contactor.
