- the elongated rod-shaped pendulum 2 has cams 131 and 132 projecting downward at its two longitudinal ends.
- the pendulum 2 is balanced so that due to its smooth bearing on the shaft 3 it is always held in a horizontal position by gravity, even if the operating table bed surface with its displaceable part or longitudinal beam 1 is at an angle to the horizontal plane (e.g. angle A in Fig. 3) is inclined.
- a bearing part 17 is formed on the longitudinal spar 1 of the operating table lying surface, which engages around a non-displaceable part 12 of the operating table, which serves as a longitudinal guide for the displaceable operating table lying surface.
- This non-displaceable part 12 carries, for example, a toothed strip 11 which projects into the cavity of the longitudinal spar 1.
- a plate-shaped locking part 4 is pivotally mounted at articulation points 51 and 52.
- the locking part 4 carries extensions 10 which can engage between the teeth of the toothed rack 11 on the non-displaceable part 12 of the operating table, as shown in FIG. 1. This is the locking position of the locking part 4. In this position, the locking part 4 is biased by a spring 6, which is supported on a web 7 fixedly connected to the longitudinal beam 1. This normally blocks a longitudinal shift of the operating table lying surface.
- this locking part 4 is pivoted out of the locking position against the force of the spring 6 about the articulation points 51 and 52, for example, via a schematically illustrated Bowden cable 8, which is attached to a point 9 of the locking part 4 the teeth or extensions 10 on the locking part 4 disengage from the rack 11.
- a gap is provided which is dimensioned such that when the locking part 4 is adjusted, its upper edge 14 can move past the lower edge 16 of the pendulum 2, provided that there is residual friction between the pendulum 2 and the shaft 3 ensures a quiet horizontal position of the pendulum.
- the pendulum 2 remains in its horizontal position, while the locking part 4 assumes the same inclined position as the operating table lying surface.
- the upper edge 14 of the locking part 4 and the lower edge 16 of the pendulum 2 intersect.
- the pendulum and the locking part 4 are offset in the axial direction of the shaft 3 in such a way that when the operating table bed surface is inclined the locking part 4 partially behind the pendulum 2 or a cam 131 or 132 of the pendulum 2 occurs. This prevents disengagement of the locking part 4 from its locking position against the action of the spring 6.
- This blocking of the locking part in the inclined position of the operating table lying surface takes place automatically and without the operator's intervention, so that the operator cannot accidentally release the locking of the operating table lying surface. Any risk to the patient from an unexpected slipping of the operating table lying surface is therefore impossible.

Description
The invention relates to an operating table with a longitudinally displaceable operating table lying surface that can be inclined about a transverse axis.
Such an operating table is known (operating table from the applicant "MAQUET-Endostar-OP" 15 32.01). As a rule, the lying surface of an operating table must be displaceable longitudinally in order to be able to move lying surface areas which are located above the operating table column from an area of this operating table column in an X-ray diagnosis.
The shift should be possible manually with as little effort as possible. At the same time, however, the operating table lying surface must also be tiltable. So that the operating table bed surface does not move automatically due to gravity in the inclined position, it must be lockable in different positions.
If this fixation or locking is released with an inclined operating table lying surface, considerable forces occur depending on the angle of inclination and the weight of the patient lying on the lying surface. The operating table bed surface would slide to the stop without a corresponding reaction from the operator. This can endanger the patient.
The invention is based on the object of providing a safety device on an operating table of the type mentioned above, so that the longitudinal displaceability is blocked when the operating table lying surface is inclined.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the operating table characterized in
The freely rotatable pendulum remains in its balanced horizontal position due to the force of gravity, even if the operating table bed surface is inclined. Thus, the pendulum automatically and without the operator's intervention prevents the locking part from being disengaged when the operating table bed surface is inclined.
The locking part itself is expediently pivoted and can be disengaged into its release position by means of a Bowden cable or the like against a spring, which pretensions it in its locking position.

- a partial longitudinal section through the longitudinal spar along line II-II in Fig. 1 with horizontal operating table bed surface and

- a view corresponding to FIG. 2 with an inclined operating table lying surface.
132.In a hollow
Winkel A in Fig. 3) geneigt wird. The
A bearing part 17 is formed on the
In the
If the locking or locking is to be released, this locking part 4 is pivoted out of the locking position against the force of the spring 6 about the
If the operating table lying surface is tilted from the horizontal position shown in FIG. 2 to an inclined position shown in FIG. 3, the
