Abstract

A dividing wall can be assembled from several inherently rigid wall elements (10) which have a frame composed of vertical sides (11, 12) and horizontal sides and incorporated in the wall filling. To permit nails or screws to be anchored, the wall filling comprises a suitable central plate (22) and thin covering panels (20, 21) between which a reinforcing honeycomb filling (23) is arranged. The vertical sides (11, 12) of the frame are provided with a conical outer groove (15) or a elastic outer bar (16) which fits into the latter, so that contiguous wall elements can be assembled and automatically centred, their junction being ensured by the insertion of coupling pins on one wall element into notches in the other wall element. The dividing wall is thus composed of light, quickly assembled individual wall elements.

Description

The invention relates to a partition, in particular for exhibition halls, which can be assembled from a plurality of rectangular, inherently rigid wall elements which can be detachably connected to one another by means of coupling members and each have a frame formed from different profile rails and filled by at least one panel, the frame legs of which are connected to one another via separate corner pieces wherein the panels of the individual wall elements are designed as lightweight elements anchored to the frame with two cover plates.

A partition wall system of the type mentioned, which has self-supporting wall elements, has already been proposed (DE-A-34 44 521). Panels are also known from EP-A-247 955, which consist of two spaced-apart cover plates, which are coupled to one another partly by corner pieces and partly by frame legs, but whose stability is limited by the frame construction.

The invention has for its object to design a partition of the type mentioned so that its wall elements have a smaller volume weight than before with great stability and can be assembled even more quickly into a partition and detached from each other again.

The object is achieved with a partition of the type mentioned in the invention in that the panels are formed with at least one spacing from the cover plates, suitable for anchoring holding members such as nails or screws, and the space between the inner plate and cover plates a light but stiffening honeycomb filling is provided, and that at least the vertical frame legs of the frame of the wall elements are provided on their outer end face with an outer groove or a matching outer spring bar, each with a conical cross-section, outer lateral contact surfaces for the edge areas of the two cover plates of the panel and inside at least have an attachment surface for the inner panel of the panel. The inner plate can expediently be formed from a micro chipboard.

Thanks to the special panel design, very light fillings of the wall elements can be achieved, but in which nails or screws can still be anchored with sufficient pull-out force. As a result of this light and rigid filling, the frame of the wall elements can in turn be designed with relatively little weight, for example from extruded profile rail sections made of light metal or a plastic material.

The vertical frame legs are literally integrated into the wall filling due to the outer edge of the outer frame legs, which are firmly glued to the vertical frame legs, for example, and the edge of the inner plate is glued to the inside attachment surface of the vertical frame legs. The mating external grooves and external spring bars of the vertical frame legs with their conical cross-section bring about a clean centering of adjoining wall elements, whereby edge stops provided on the outer end face can ensure a precise desired, in particular very small mutual distance between adjacent wall elements. In order to save weight and to pull in lines, the outer spring web of the vertical frame legs can advantageously be hollow. In the case of a dividing wall designed according to the invention, the horizontal frame legs of the wall frames can have a trough-shaped cross section with a trough-shaped cross section with a trough opening located on the outer end face with retracted opening edges. They can also be literally integrated into the wall filling in the manner described above in connection with the vertical frame legs. The trough-shaped cross section with the retracted opening edges favors the anchoring of fastening elements for any additional parts and for extension strips, via which side walls can be attached to the individual wall elements at any point.

The additionally desired fast connection and disconnection possibility of the individual wall elements of the partition is achieved in that the individual wall elements are not screwed together in a time-consuming manner, but instead can be connected to one another simply by hanging them in place. For this purpose, the wall elements can expediently have, on their frame, tabs projecting laterally above or below with at least one conical coupling pin aligned parallel to the edge, each of which can be inserted into the open end of a horizontal frame leg of a subsequent wall element which is provided with at least one latching opening for the coupling pin .

Further features of the invention, which also includes an assembly aid for hanging and unhooking the wall elements, result from the following description in conjunction with the drawing, on which a preferred embodiment of a wall element with modification forms and an embodiment of the assembly aid are shown more or less schematically.

Beide Vertikalrahmenschenkel 11 und 12 weisen auf ihrer Außenstirnseite stegartige Randanschläge 30 für die Rahmenschenkel anschließender Wandungselemente 10′ auf.1 and 2, an upper corner and a lower corner of a wall element 10 and the corresponding corner of a subsequent wall element 10 'are shown. The wall elements 10 have a frame. The frame consists of metal profile rail sections of different cross-section, namely two vertical frame legs 11 and 12 and two horizontal frame legs 13 and 14. From FIGS. 3 and 4, which show a horizontal cross section through two wall elements 10 and 10a, the cross sections of the vertical frame legs 11 and 12 are evident. The vertical frame leg 11 has an outwardly flared outer groove 15 into which a correspondingly conical outer spring bar of the other vertical frame leg 12 fits. Both vertical frame legs 11 and 12 are provided at least in their end region with threaded bores 17 running in their longitudinal direction and have roughened outer contact surfaces 18 and on the inside in each case a contact surface 19 and 19a for parts of a panel of the wall element 10 or 10a forming the frame filling. The edge areas of two cover plates 20 and 21 of the panel lie against the outer lateral contact surfaces 18 and are firmly connected to the vertical frame legs 11 and 12 by gluing. The edges of an inner plate 22 bear against the inner contact surface 19 of the vertical frame leg 11 and the inner contact surface 19a of the vertical frame leg 12 and are firmly bonded there to the vertical frame legs. The inner plate 22 is formed by a chipboard in which nails or are driven into the frame filling Screws can be anchored. The spaces between the outer cover plates 20 and 21 and the more stable inner plate 22 are provided with a light stiffening honeycomb filling 23. The wall element 10a shown in FIG. 4 differs from the wall element 10 shown in FIG. 3 only in that it has vertical frame legs 11 with a conical outer groove 15 on both sides. Such wall elements can serve, for example, as end wall elements, the outer groove 15 on the outer edge of the wall being able to be closed by means of a cover strip (not shown). Both vertical frame legs 11 and 12 have on their outer end face web-like edge stops 30 for the frame legs of adjoining wall elements 10 '.

They differ from the vertical frame legs 11 and 12 according to Fig. 3 in that the vertical frame leg 12 'of the outer spring bar 16 encloses a cavity 24 in which, for example, electrical lines can be drawn. In addition, instead of the threaded holes 17 inner through grooves 17 'with a circular cross section and narrowed groove opening 17a are provided, in which screws, in particular screws with self-tapping threads, can be anchored.

The cross section of a horizontal frame leg 13 or 14 can be seen from FIG. 7. It also has lateral contact surfaces 25 for the edge areas of the cover plates 20 and 21, is channel-shaped and is located on the outer end face of the horizontal frame legs Channel opening 26 is provided with retracted opening edges 27, as can also be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2.

The vertical frame legs 11, 12 and the horizontal frame legs 13, 14 of each wall element 10 are connected to one another by means of corner pieces 28 made of plastic and indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2, which fit snugly on the inside on the frame leg ends and with several smooth bores and threaded holes which 1 and 2 for clarity, are provided for fastening screws and for optionally anchoring a screw base 29 (FIG. 2).

The connection of the wall elements, which are self-centering due to the conical tongue and groove connection, is done by hanging. For this purpose, the wall elements 10 and 10 'shown in FIGS. 1 and 2' at their upper right corner and at their lower left corner each with inserted into the open end of a horizontal frame leg 13 or 14 and laterally projecting over the frame tabs 31, the wear a coupling pin 32 on its projecting part. Two coupling pins 32 arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the tab 31 can also be provided. The tabs 31 can be inserted with their projecting part carrying the pins 32 into the open end of a horizontal frame leg of an adjacent frame element, where the coupling pins 32 can snap into a latching opening 33 formed there in the bottom of the horizontal frame leg. A wall element to be connected 10, 10 'is thus in the raised state against the last mounted wall element moved and then lowered to hang the coupling pin.

On each wall element 10, 10 'transverse wall elements 10˝, one of which is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, can be applied at any point. For this purpose, side wall extension strips 34 can be attached to the wall elements against a cover plate and anchored at a desired location on the upper horizontal frame leg 13 and on the lower horizontal frame leg 14 by means of detachable end plates 35. 8 shows the profile of the side wall extension strip 34, which is practically designed as a square tube and has on the inside longitudinal grooves 36 with a circular cross-section and narrowed groove opening 37, into which fastening screws 39 passed through bores 38 in the end plates and visible from FIGS. 1 and 2 can be anchored. As can be seen from FIGS. 9 and 10, the end plates 35 have a part which projects laterally beyond the side wall extension strip 34 and has an angled edge section 40. This angled edge section 40 engages in the channel opening 26 of the horizontal frame legs 13 or 14. On the side wall extension strips 34, the side walls 10 'can then be arranged at right angles to the wall element 10 in a manner not of interest here either by means of connecting pins 41 indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2, or else at an angle deviating from 90 ° by means of pivot pins (not shown) , as indicated in Fig. 1 and 2 by an arrow 42.

For the raising and lowering of the wall elements 10, 10 'during the assembly or disassembly of a partition, an assembly aid shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 can be used. It consists of a plate-shaped carrier 45 to which a double-armed lever 47 is articulated via an axis 46. Its shorter lever arm 47a is formed into a lifting plate 48 which can be attached to the lower horizontal frame leg 14 of a wall element 10, while its longer lever arm 47b is provided with a long handle bar 49. Also arranged on the longer lever arm 47b is a support roller 50, which can be seen in FIG. 12 and with which the double-armed lever 47 can be supported on the floor 51 after a short pivoting movement clockwise about the axis 46. The short lever arm 47a can also be coupled to the longer lever arm 47b in a manner not shown so that it can be pivoted to a limited extent, so that the lifting plate 48 can always adjust itself to the horizontal position in the relatively small lifting range. The carrier 45 can be moved on the floor 51 by means of a cantilevered roller 52. It can additionally be provided with a lowerable second castor, not shown, the axis of which is perpendicular to the axis of the roller 52.

The wall elements can be built very easily with the structure described, so that the wall elements generally extend over the full desired wall height. The channel-shaped upper horizontal frame leg 13 thus forms the upper end edge of a partition formed. All possible wall attachment elements can thus be anchored in the continuous opening 26 of the horizontal frame leg 13 or hooks for hanging cables can be hung in. In Fig. 1 is next to the side wall 10˝ Console 55 shown, which is placed on the horizontal frame leg 13 via an angle part 56 and can also be clamped on the horizontal frame leg 13 by means of a plate 57 engaging behind the drawn-in channel edges 27 and a screw 58 supported on the angle part 56.
