Description

The invention relates to a work chair with a seat support and a backrest support which are pivotally connected to one another and both can be pivoted in the same direction and as a function of one another in relation to a bearing block connected to the base frame, the seat carrier being pivotally mounted on the bearing block in the front region about a horizontal pivoting axis of the seat carrier. in which a lockable gas pressure spring is articulated on one side of the pedestal column on the pedestal and an extension of the backrest support that extends beyond the backrest support pivot bearing and in which an additional compression spring of the lockable gas pressure spring is connected in parallel on the other side of the support column.

A work chair of this type is known from DE-PS 27 33 322. The additional compression spring is designed as a coil spring, which is tensioned more with increasing inclination of the backrest support. Therefore, with increasing inclination of the backrest support, the force exerted on the swivel bearing between the helical compression spring and the backrest support increases linearly, while the force exerted by the lockable gas pressure spring on the swivel support between the lockable gas pressure spring and the backrest support remains constant regardless of the inclination of the backrest support. With increasing inclination of the backrest support, this leads to a force tending to tilt in the area of the pivot bearings, so that these must be designed to be particularly stable. In this known work chair there is also no weight compensation.

From DE-GM 75 01 178 a work chair is known in which, in addition to a gas pressure spring, an additional tension spring is used which presses the seat support against the person sitting on it and brings about a weight balance.

From DE-PS 35 37 203 a work chair with seat support and backrest support is known, both of which are pivotable depending on one another. The backrest support is supported on the pedestal by means of two coil springs connected in parallel. A hydraulic block is used as a blocking element to lock the so-called synchronous work chair in every adjustment of the backrest support. In addition, a further effort on coil springs is provided for the weight balance.

It is an object of the invention to design a work chair of the type mentioned at the outset such that the pivot bearings between the backrest support and the springs are loaded uniformly and that this can be achieved together with simple weight compensation using simple, inexpensive spring elements.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the additional pressure spring is designed as a gas pressure spring, that the lockable gas pressure spring and the additional gas pressure spring have approximately the same spring characteristic and that an adjustable weight compensation spring is arranged in front of the seat support pivot axis, which acts on the bearing block and on the seat support and pulls the front end of the seat support downward between the lockable gas pressure spring and the additional gas pressure spring.

The parallel connection of a lockable gas pressure spring and an additional gas pressure spring ensures that the swivel bearings are even, i.e. without tilting components, the lockable gas pressure spring also takes over the locking of the set inclination of the backrest support. The weight compensation spring does not affect the balance of forces of the two gas springs in the central arrangement and allows adjustment in a simple manner. In addition, there is sufficient space in this area of the seat support for accommodating the weight compensation spring with its adjusting device.

If it is provided according to one embodiment that the lockable gas pressure spring is connected in series with a rubber buffer, then an increase in force for the change in inclination is achieved in the last area of the inclination change of the backrest support, which prevents "sagging".

The pivot bearing between the backrest support and the gas pressure springs is achieved in that the backrest support has two extensions that are arranged symmetrically to the base column and end in double brackets and that the lockable gas pressure spring and the additional gas pressure spring in the double brackets are rotatably mounted on a common bearing pin, whereby the gas springs are simply provided with bearing brackets which are mounted on the common bearing pin within the double brackets.

If it is also provided that the lockable gas pressure spring is rotatably mounted with the other end on the seat support pivot axis, then no special bearing pin needs to be provided for this articulated support of the lockable gas pressure spring.

A simple, adjustable attachment of the weight compensation spring is achieved according to one embodiment in that a threaded bolt is attached to the front end of the seat support, which is directed towards the footprint, that the weight compensating spring designed as a helical compression spring is pushed onto the threaded bolt and engages with the upper end supports a stop of the bearing block, and that the lower end of the weight compensation spring is supported on an actuating element which is screwed onto the free end of the threaded bolt.

In the exemplary embodiment, 10 denotes the bearing block, which has a receptacle 27 for the pedestal column. Facing the front of the work chair, the seat support 11 is pivotally mounted on the bearing block 10 by means of the horizontal seat support pivot axis 15. In the rear area of the seat support 11 is by means of the backrest support pivot bearing 14 of the backrest support 12 is articulated to the seat support 11. The backrest support 12 is extended beyond the backrest support pivot bearing 14, as the two extensions 28 and 29 clearly visible in FIG. 3 show. These extensions 28 and 29 each run into a double bracket that receive the common bearing pin 23, on which the lockable gas pressure spring 16 is supported on one side of the seat 27 for the chair frame column and the gas pressure spring 25 is supported and rotatable on the other side of the seat 27 are stored between the double tabs of the extensions 28 and 29. The lockable gas pressure spring 16 is, as the views of FIGS. 1 and 3 show, connected in series with the rubber buffer 17 and is rotatably supported on the seat support pivot axis 15, while the other end of the gas pressure spring 25 is on a separate pivot bearing 26 Bearing bracket 10 supports. Since the two gas pressure springs 16 and 25 require an approximately the same and constant adjustment force independent of the adjustment, only symmetrical arrangement and when changing the inclination of the backrest support will only occur forces acting perpendicular to the backrest pivot axis 23, which are optimally intercepted by this pivot bearing will. This force acting on the backrest support pivot axis 23 is also not impaired by the weight compensation spring 18 designed as a helical spring, since this acts in the middle between the two gas pressure springs 16 and 25 on the front end of the seat support 11. The weight compensation spring 18 is pushed onto the threaded bolt 30, which is fixedly attached to the seat support 11 in front of the seat support pivot axis 15 and is directed toward the standing surface. The upper end of the counterbalance spring 18 is supported from the stop 31 of the bearing block 10. The lower end of the weight compensation spring 18 is supported on the actuating device 19, which is screwed onto the free lower end of the threaded bolt 30. The weight compensation spring 18 therefore exerts a more or less large tensile force on the front end of the seat support 11 and thus compensates for a more or less large proportion of the load on the seat support 11. The spring characteristic of the backrest support 12 is not affected.

The backrest is adjustably guided on the backrest support 12 and is provided with an extension 13 which is articulated on the toggle lever 20, as the pivot bearing 22 shows. The toggle lever 20 is rotatably mounted in the rear region of the seat support 11 by means of the bearing pin 21. The bearing pin 23 is additionally guided in the guide slot 24 of the toggle lever 20 so that when the backrest support 12 is tilted backwards, the toggle lever 20 is rotated clockwise in FIG. 1. In this case, the backrest on the backrest support 12 is adjusted downward via the extension 13 in order to switch off the "shirt pull-out effect".

The work chair according to the invention thus fulfills all the requirements placed on a synchronous work chair with simple and inexpensive means.
