Abstract

A container (1), which can be filled to a max. depth (h) with pieces of ice (13) formed on fingers (12) of an ice prepn. device (11) with a removable tray (14), has an inclined base contg. an Archimedean screw (2). - The pieces are conveyed upwards into a recess (8) in which a selectively operable communution device is constituted by two transfer bars (9,10) in a connection (7). The stationary lower part of this forms a return channel for water.
