Therefore, the lower surface of the lock plate 15 and the upper surface of the buckle latch piece 11 are caused to contact with each other over a wide area when the lock plate 15 and the buckle latch piece 11 are brought into a locked state.

- An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a seat belt buckle which does not involve such inconvenience and in which an associated tongue can be unlatched from the buckle by a reduced, namely, lighter operating force.

Claims (4)
- Boucle pour ceinture de sécurité, comprenant une base (8) de boucle formée en cintrant une plaque métallique pour lui donner une section transversale en forme de U carré aplati et ayant une partie formant plaque d'appui (9) et une paire de parois latérales verticales opposées (10) s'étendant depuis les deux bords latéraux de la plaque d'appui, une pièce de verrouillage (11) de boucle articulée au niveau de son extrémité postérieure par les parois latérales verticales et ayant à son extrémité antérieure un mécanisme d'arrêt (12) pouvant s'engager d'une manière amovible dans une ouverture (28) ménagée dans une plaque correspondante (2) en forme de langue, un ressort (24) poussant normalement la pièce de verrouillage de boucle dans un sens de façon que la pièce de verrouillage de boucle s'écarte de la plaque d'appui, une paire de trous traversants (16) respectivement formés d'une manière mutuellement opposée dans les parois latérales verticales appariées, lesdits trous traversants (16) définissant sans discontinuité des parties élargies (16b) des trous à l'arrière de ceux-ci et des parties rétrécies (16a) des trous à l'avant de ceux-ci, une plaque d'accrochage (15) disposée pour pouvoir avancer et reculer sur la surface supérieure de la pièce de verrouillage de boucle et reçue d'une manière lâche, au niveau de ses deux extrémités latérales, respectivement dans les trous traversants appariés, et un ressort (17) de plaque de verrouillage disposé entre la plaque d'accrochage et la pièce de verrouillage de boucle et exerçant sur la plaque d'accrochage une force élastique orientée vers l'extrémité antérieure de la pièce de verrouillage de boucle, caractérisée en ce que les bords supérieurs (29') des parties resserrées (16a) des trous traversants appariés (16), lesdits bords supérieurs se trouvant sur un côté opposé à la plaque d'appui (9) par rapport aux bords inférieurs des parties resserrées (16a) des trous, s'étendent obliquement par rapport à la plaque d'appui (9), grâce à quoi les distances entre les bords supérieurs (29') et la plaque d'appui (9) augmentent progressivement dans la direction des extrémités postérieures des bords supérieurs (29'), et la plaque d'accrochage (15) est poussée, au niveau de son extrémité postérieure, par le ressort (17) de plaque d'accrochage, grâce à quoi, lorsque la plaque (2) en forme de langue vient contre la pièce de verrouillage (11), la plaque d'accrochage (15) n'est au contact de la pièce de verrouillage (11) qu'au niveau de l'extrémité antérieure de la plaque d'accrochage tout en étant maintenue au contact du bord supérieur (29') des trous traversants (16).
- Boucle selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la plaque d'accrochage (15) comporte un élément analogue à une plaque ayant une largeur prédéterminée dans le sens de la longueur de la boucle (4).
- Boucle selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que l'inclinaison des bords supérieurs (29') par rapport à la plaque d'appui (9) est de 3 à 8 degrés.
- Boucle selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisée en ce que la pièce de verrouillage (11) a un crochet (23) qui s'étend vers le haut, et le crochet (23) est reçu dans une encoche (27) formée longitudinalement dans la plaque d'accrochage (15) et a une partie rétrécie (23') pour permettre à la plaque d'accrochage (15) de basculer par rapport à la pièce de verrouillage (11).
