Abstract

When a carrying strap (2) riveted to a portable packet is torn away, injury to the hand is prevented if the material of the packet wall (1) has a weakening line (9) surrounding the rivet (3) at a distance from the latter.

Description

"Traqepaket""Trace package"
The invention relates to a carrying package with a riveted carrying strap, wherein a rivet serving to fasten the carrying strap ends passes through the material of the strap and the wall of the package.
Handles designed as a carrying strap made of PE or PP material or the like are attached with the aid of metal rivets to, for example, cuboid or drum-shaped carrying packages. When the carrying tapes are attached, the rivets are struck through the tape material and the wall of the package with the aid of a rivet punch and spread out on a lower punch at the inner exit. If the packaging or its handle is used improperly and the rivet is loaded excessively, it can detach itself from the material of the package wall, for example from the material of a drum body or a box wall. The rivet's spread shaft rests in a hook-like manner and can cause serious injuries if the carrying strap slides through the hand.
The invention is based on the knowledge that improper handling of packaging of the specified type cannot be ruled out, so that tearing out of the carrying band rivets is ultimately unavoidable. Accordingly, the invention lies the task is to improve the carrying package so that even if a lanyard tears, an injury can not normally occur. The solution according to the invention for the carrying package mentioned at the outset, with a carrying band rivet passing through the material of the band and the package wall, is that the material of the package wall has a weakening line at a distance around the rivet.
The weakening line is dimensioned such that it breaks when the rivet is loaded excessively before the rivet itself can tear out of its anchoring in the package wall. It is thus achieved by the invention that the rivet can no longer be released from it alone but only together with part of the package wall. The wall section, which is optionally cut out along the line of weakness from the packet wall, remains as protection against injury between the carrying strap and the expanding rag of the rivet, so that the rivet cannot come into direct contact with the hand.
Since the line of weakness is in the plane of the parcel wall and since the direction of traction also lies in the plane of the parcel wall during normal handling of the carrying strap, the stability of the carrying strap fastening itself is negligibly influenced.
According to a further invention, it can be favorable if the weakening line, especially in the case of a double-layer or multi-layer package wall, passes only through part of the wall thickness. This means that even when loaded obliquely with respect to the plane of the wall area surrounding the rivet, a premature rupture of the rivet (with the package wall part defined by the line of weakness) cannot occur. A particularly favorable design in the above sense is achieved if, in the case of a package wall consisting of cardboard with corrugated cardboard liner, the weakening line is only provided in the cardboard. If, in such a case, the rivet is subjected to exceptionally heavy loads at right angles to the packaging wall, it first slides through the soft part of the inner corrugated cardboard frame without opening its rolled spreading tabs. Next he meets the stable outer carton, but here the line of weakness is broken open before the rivet can tear itself out of the carton wall, so that the rolled expanding tabs of the rivet press firmly against the piece of carton that has been removed and this protects the carrying strap from injury and spreading rag of the rivet acts.
The slaughter line itself can be made in several ways. Perforation or scoring is preferably provided as the line of weakness. Perforations and scoring occur in the manufacture of carrying packages, drums or the like, so that the corresponding devices are present. The weakening line can furthermore already on the cutting of the carrying package but also only on the already finished packaging body, e.g. B. attached to a spiral winding drum. In a Spi alwiekeltrornmel you can take advantage of the splitting of the cardboard layers for the protective function, so that it is easy to achieve that only a part of the layers tears and no reduction in normal resilience can be accepted.
The weakening line itself can be closed or only partially closed, for example U-shaped. It has proven itself in practice if the weakening line is designed as an oval which is arranged approximately horizontally when worn. Such an oval On the one hand, it provides particularly good protection for the hand when torn out and, on the other hand, causes only minimal weakening in the wall.
Es zeigen:Details of the invention are explained on the basis of the schematic representation of an exemplary embodiment. Show it:
Fig. 1 einen Schnitt in Längsrichtung des Niets durch die Trage¬ bandvernietung an einer Paketwand;1 shows a section in the longitudinal direction of the rivet through the strap riveting on a package wall;
Fig. 2 die Draufsicht von außen auf die Befestigungsstelle nach Fig. 1;FIG. 2 shows the top view from the outside of the fastening point according to FIG. 1;
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt parallel zur Nietlängsrichtung durch ein Tra¬ geband mit aus der Paketwand herausgerissener Nietbefesti¬ gung; und3 shows a section parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rivet through a supporting band with rivet fastenings torn out of the packet wall; and
Fig. 4 die Draufsicht von rechts auf den Niet nach Fig. 3.4 shows the top view from the right onto the rivet according to FIG. 3.
The carrying strap 2 is fastened in the packet wall 1 with the aid of a rivet, denoted overall by 3. The rivet head 4 lies on the carrying band 2, while the rolled spreading lugs 5 of the rivet 3 lie against the inner surface 6 of the packet wall 1. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, it is provided that the package wall 1 consists of an outer carton 7 and an inner corrugated cardboard liner 8. According to the invention, the material of the packet wall 1 is provided with a weakening line 9 at a distance around the rivet 3, which can be, for example, a perforation or a scoring.
If the carrying strap 2 (improperly) approximately at a right angle to the packet wall 1 - that is to say approximately in the longitudinal direction 10 of the rivet 3 - is excessively heavily loaded, the rivet 3 can first slide through the soft part of the corrugated cardboard liner 8 without opening its rolled spreading lobes 5. These then hit the stable carton 7. When the carton stability and stability of the weakening line 9 are adjusted according to the invention, it can be achieved that when the rivet is pulled further, the carton 7 does not pass through the carton 7, but rather the carton 7 on the weakening line 9 breaks up. A ripping disk 11 then remains on the rivet 3, which, as a protection against injury, lies between the carrying strap 2 and the spreading flap 5 of the rivet 3.
The positions of the carrying strap 2, tear-out surface 11 and expanding tab 5 of the rivet 3 are shown in principle in FIGS. 3 and 4 in section parallel to the longitudinal direction 10 of the rivet and in a top view of the rivet head 4.
