Es ist daher eine ausreichende Größe, insbesondere in der Breite er¬ forderlich. Gerade die verjüngte Stelle ist besonders gefährdet, da der Querschnitt des Bandes hier verhältnismäßig klein ist. Durch die Verstärkung wird auch in höherem Maße sichergestellt, daß das Etikett nach dem Anbringen an der Verpackung nicht zu leicht ab¬ reißt. Diese Gefahr besteht besonderes im Feucht- bzw. Naßbetrieb, z. B. in der Lebensmittelindustrie. Dieses Versteifungsband brauch im allgemeinen eine solche Breite, daß sie die Perforierung und den verjüngten Abschnitt be¬ deckt. Das Versteifungsband wird im allgemeinen vor der endgültigen Formgebung der Etiketten, also vor dem Aus¬ stanzen des verjüngten Teils und vor der Perforierung, an der Unterseite des Etikettenbandes angebracht.
