Mit dieser Vorrichtung wird die Einstellung abschnittweise in Stufen vorgenommen. Wie die Zeichnung zeigt, besteht die Vorrichtung zur Stützung des Gießstranges (1), insbesondere zur Weichreduktion bei einer Vorbandgießanlage aus einem unterhalb der Stranggießkokille (2) angeordneten Rollenträger (3). In der Zeichnung ist der Einfachheit halber nur ein Rollenträger dargestellt. Es ist jedoch verständlich, daß zur Stützung des Gießstranges (1) in der Praxis ein weiterer, dem Rollenträger (3) spiegelbildlich gegenüberliegender Rollenträger vorgesehen ist, die beide in einem feststehenden Rahmen (4) zueinander und/oder voneinander verstellbar angeordnet sind. Gemäß der Erfindung ist der Rollenträger (3) sehr vorteilhaft in mehrere Segmente (5) aufgeteilt, die mit Verstelleinrichtungen (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) in Wirkverbindung stehen. Die rollentragenden Segmente (5) sind hierbei aneinander gekoppelt, so daß jedes Segment für sich in einem beliebigen Winkel zum Gießstrang (1) verstellt und eingestellt werden kann. Zum allgemeinen Verstellen bzw. Einstellen des Rollenträgers (3) dient die obere in der Zeichnung dargestellte Verstelleinrichtung (6), an die über eine im Stützrahmen (4) angeordnete Mutter (11) geführte Spindel (12) gelenkbeweglich angreift, welche ihrerseits über ein Getriebe (13) mit einem Antriebsmotor (14) in Verbindung steht, während die im Stützrahmen (4) angeordneten Verstelleinrichtungen (7, 8, 9, 10) als überlastzylinder ausgebildet sind und zur Feineinstellung dienen.
