  • Said lids comprise also a discontinuous peripheral edge identifying a plurality of tongues for clamping to the edge of the container, or a continuous edge for fastening to the container by means of circumferential straps for radial and axial compression.

  • the continuous surface 15'' (analogous to the surface 15 of a lid 10) constitutes an ample and continuous contact surface with the internal wall of the drum, thus assuring the quality of the closing.
  • the drawn parts 14, 14'' arranged along the circumference at regular intervals afford substantial stiffening of the lid and contribute to adherence by forcing the surfaces 15, 15'' against the inner wall of the drum. Said stiffening in turn contributes to the possibility of providing a relatively deep groove with ample lateral adherence surfaces between the lid and the drum.

Claims (4)

  1. Gepresster Blechdeckel (10), bestehend aus einem scheibenförmigen Abschnitt und aus im wesentlichen zylinderförmigen Umfangsteg (15) mit einem eine umlaufende Kehle (11) festlegenden Rand zur Aufnahme des Randes (19) der Öffnung eines zylinderförmigen Behälters (18) für dessen abgedichteten Verschluß, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Umfangsteg (15) einen ersten und einen zweiten umlaufenden Bereich zum Anschmiegen an einer inneren Seitenwand des Behälters (18) umfaßt, wobei der erste Bereich längs einer umlaufenden Linie am zweiten Bereich anliegt, wobei im zweiten an dem scheibenförmigen Abschnitt anliegenden umlaufenden Bereich tiefgezogene Stellen (14) vorgesehen sind, die längs des Umfanges voneinander beabstandet sind, um zwischen dem ersten und dem zweiten Bereich in der Nähe der umlaufenden Linie eine Fläche (17) festzulegen, sie radial in Richtung der Mitte des Deckels vorsteht, wobei zwischen den tiefgezogenen Stellen (17) der zweite umlaufende Bereich auf derselben Ebene wie der erste umlaufende Bereich liegt.
  2. Deckel (10) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß am Grund der Kehle (11) eine Dichtung (12) für den Rand (19) der Öffnung des Behälters (18) angeordnet ist.
  3. Deckel (10) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wand der Kehle (11) in Richtung nach außen des Deckels eine Vielzahl von Laschen (13) umfaßt, die im wesentlichen senkrecht zur Ebene des Deckels gerichtet sind und zur Umklammerung des Randes (19) der Öffnung des Behälters (18) verbiegbar sind.
  4. Deckel (10) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wand der Kehle (11) in Richtung nach außen des Behälters (10) einen ununterbrochenen Rand (20) zur Befestigung am Rand eines Behälters mittels eines umlaufenden Steges (21) bei dessen axialen Zusammendrückung durch Durchmesserverkleinerung des Steges (21) umfaßt.
