Abstract

This invention appelies to the branch of hygienic articles,especially to the known ground-levelled Turkish W.C. basin, which it modifies, improves and expands.

This invention tends to abolish the disadvantages of the common Turkish W.C basin, i.e. wetting or splashing of the user,the repulsive appearance of the opening(O),the restraint of the natural function of the user because of dirt left over by former users.

The invention also achieves the alternative use of the ground-­levelled W.C basin as a sitting basin and vice-versa.

Description

• This invention improves the well known-but usually avoided be­cause of its disadvantages- Turkish W.C. basin.
ADVANTAGES of the so-called Turkish W.C. basin:
• I) Does not contaminate easily.
• 2) Does not occupy too much space.
• 3) It can be used as the floor under a showes.
• 4) It can be easily cleaned.
DISADVANTAGES:
• I) Splashing while being used, with the possibility of contamination.
• 2) The repulsive appearance of the opening.
• 3) The restraintive effect on the user due to the visible dirt floa­ting or remaining in the conter of the basin in spite of the quan­tity of water poured.
• 4) It is misused for fear of splashing.
• 5) Children, aged people, the sich and weak find it difficult or even impossible to use it.
• This invention,with its possible applications, abolishes the disadvantages and increases the advantages by the following modi­fications:
• I) The opening of the basin is now situated at the front instead of the center.
• 2) The opening(O) and safety water are now covered.
• 3. The flutings are modified,their shape becoming triangular,with the carved edge up ewards.
• 4) For users with a problem or handicap the back of the basin can be elevated to the level of a seat and can be used as a stand of a rei­nforced cover.In this way the basin can be used alternatively as a groud-­level one or as a sitting one.
• 5) The reinforced cover is cut at the front(5a)
• 6) The footings(9B) are detachable, suitable for the existing sit­ting-basins also.
• All these modifications,improvements and alternative solutions are shown in the sketches;These illustrate the many possibilities and the adaptability of many appelications of the invention.
• Sketches No I and 2 show ground plans of the new,proposed ground-­W.C. basin .The rest of the series No I and 2 are side-views and vertical lengthwise sections.
• Sketches No 4,5,7 and 8 show ground W.C- basins improved by an elevated back for alternative use:
  either as ground-level basins or as sitting a ones by lowering the cover(5a) as shown in sketches 6aB and 7BB.
• Sketch No 3 shows a side view of an improved basin with attached foo­tings(8) like wings at the middle of its hight; sketch 5a shows the front-view and sketch 3B is a ground-plan.This basin has alternative solutions like the one in sketch 9,where the footing(8) are detachable.
• The footings (8) (in sketches of the series No 9) can be appelied to the existing sitting-W.C. basins.
• Sketches 8B and 8BB of the series No 8 show the detachable back of a ground-basin, which can be extended all around the periphery of the basin.
• Sketches I 2 ,3 4 5 ,6 ,7 ,8 and 9C show the flutings which are detachable parts for the easy cleansing of the opening.
• Sketches 2aB and 7aa show that the whole front part over the opening is detachable.
• Sketches 5a, 6aB, 6BB, 7BB and 8a show different views and posi­tions of the reinforced cover, which is imperoved by being cut at the front for the safety of the male sex organs from contamination
• The invention can be very useful to mankind especially in our age; its advantageous use has no functional, constructional or fina­ncial limitations.

Claims (8)

1. I) The opening is constructed at the front part of the basin and not at the center.
2. 2) The opening(O) is covered either by the urinal part(all - C - sketches),either by the footings(8) or by both)Sketches 2aB,7aa) per­nanently or not.
3. 3) The urinal flutings are triangular-edged in shape(all the -C - sketches).
4. 4) As splashing becomes impossible in anyway the ground -basin can be alternated to a sitting-type basin by elevating the back part so as to receive a cover.
5. 5) The cover)5a,6aB,6BB, 7BB, 8a) is reinforced and cut, at the front.
6. 6) The elevated part is detachable and can be extended to the pe­riphery of the basin )Sketches 8B and 8BB).
7. 7) It can be constructed in the style of the sitting- W.C. -ba­sin with attached footings (8) (Sketches of series No 3) or deta­chable footings(8) (sketches of series No 9)
8. 8) All footings can be constructed to be inclined from the back to the front of the shoes. (Sketches 3, 3a, page I, sketch 4a page 2, sketches 9a, 9aa page 3).
