Description

The invention relates to a toilet brush stand according to the preamble of claim 1.

From FR-A-13 94 935 a toilet brush stand of the generic type is known, in which the drip insert is held in a housing via a locking body designed as an elastic wire. The ends of the wire engage in a locking recess, each of which is formed by a projection protruding from the inside of the housing. The wire is pushed out of the locking recesses to release the drip insert from the underside of the housing by lifting the wire ends upwards, work being carried out against the elastic restoring force of the wire.

Another toilet brush stand is known from DE 35 02 571 C2. Here, a drip tray is inserted into the lower part of the housing of the stand by means of a holder designed as a bayonet or partial thread lock. This holder is formed on an insert which is fitted into the lower region of the housing. Removing the drip tray by means of a corresponding screwing movement requires reaching into the stand from below. Furthermore, a bayonet or partial thread holder requires a circular design of the drip tray and thus of the housing, i. H. the possibilities for the external design of the housing are limited, unless an adapter is used in the housing, which is provided with the bayonet lock or partial thread.

The invention has for its object to provide a toilet brush stand of the generic type so that the drip tray is easier to remove from the stand.

This object is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1. The measures according to the invention make it possible for the drip insert to be inserted into the housing from below and thereby automatically and elastically locked, and for the drip insert to be removable again by simply releasing the elastic lock. This locking can be released by a simple linear pressure movement. The outer shape of the housing can also be designed in the lower area that receives the drip insert exclusively from an aesthetic point of view. The drip insert only has to be gripped in the non-soiled area to be removed from the housing or to be inserted into the housing and can then be cleaned. The locking between the housing and the drip insert is - as claim 2 indicates - form-fitting, that is reliable.

While it is fundamentally possible to provide the locking recess on the drip insert and to attach the locking body in a correspondingly elastic manner to the housing of the stand, the embodiment according to claim 3 is particularly advantageous because it enables the reset device to be visually covered, ie to be arranged inside the housing . Claim 4 represents a particularly simple embodiment for the reset device. The further development according to claim 5 leads to the fact that the release of the lock between the drip insert and the housing can be released by direct pressure from the outside on the locking body. The development according to claim 6 leads to an optically appealing and play-free connection between the drip insert and the housing. The development according to claim 7 has the effect that the locking can be established or released via very short displacement paths between the drip insert and the housing.

As can be seen in FIG. 1, the toilet brush stand shown there consists of a housing 1 and a drip insert 2. The housing 1 has an upper cover plate 3 and integrally formed with it side walls 4 and a rear wall 5. Towards the front, the housing 1 is provided with a large opening 6, into which a keyhole-like insertion opening 7 for a toilet brush opens out in the cover plate 3. Such a toilet brush can thus be inserted into the housing 1 via the opening 6 and hooked into the cover plate 3 in the hanging opening 7. In the lower region 8, the housing 1 is completely closed, that is to say also has a front wall 9 below the opening 6. At least in this area 8, the housing 1 - apart from the rounded corners - is approximately truncated pyramid-shaped, ie it tapers slightly from the lower edge 10 towards the cover plate 3.

The drip insert 2 is arranged and detachably held in the lower region 8 of the housing 1. For this purpose, the side walls 4, the rear wall 5 and the front wall 9 have an inner wall 11 which tapers slightly upwards, ie towards the cover plate 3, and which ends in an upper circumferential stop 12. The inner wall 11 is thus formed by an undercut. In the area of the lower edge 10 and open to it, wall openings serving as locking recesses 13 are provided in the side walls 4 opposite one another.

The drip insert 2 has a frame-shaped holding body 14, the outer contour of which is adapted to the contour of the inner wall 11, so that it is largely free of play can be inserted against the inner wall 11 in the lower region 8 of the housing 1. A drip tray 16 made of glass or ceramic is elastically connected to the holding body 14 at an upper edge 15 of the frame-like, thus hollow holding body 14, so it can easily be replaced in the event of destruction. In the wall sections of the holding body 14 assigned to the side walls 4 of the housing 1, an elastic tongue 17 is formed in each case, on the lower free end of which a locking body 18 is integrally formed projecting outwards. 3 and 5, the tongues 17 are formed in that slots 20 extend upward from the lower edge 19 of the holding body 14, so that the tongue 17 is connected to the holding body 14 only in the region of the upper edge 15 with which it is injection molded in one piece from an elastic plastic. 3, the wall thickness of the holding body 14 in the area of the tongue 17 is so small that the tongue 17 can be elastically deflected transversely to the main direction of the wall; on the other hand, the wall thickness is so large that this deflection cannot already be inadvertently caused by bumping.

The locking recess 13 has the shape of a circular segment with an opening angle of more than 180 °, ie the center 21 of this circle lies in the locking recess 13, as can be seen in FIG. 4. The length a of the opening 22 formed by a secant in the region of the lower edge 10 of the housing 1 is thus less than the diameter d of the locking recess 13. In other words, this means that the locking recess 13 tapers towards the lower edge 10 of the housing 1, ie towards its opening 22. The locking body 18 corresponds in its shape, that is in its cross section transversely to its pivoting direction 23, to the locking recess 13, so that the locking body 18 is arranged in the corresponding locking recess 13 when the drip insert 2 is inserted into the housing 1. As a result, the drip insert 2 is secured against being removed from the housing 1 downward by means of a positive locking. If the two locking bodies 18 are each pressed so far inward by elastic deformation of the respective tongue 17 that they detach from the respective locking recess 13, then the entire drip insert 2 can be pulled down out of the housing 1. This can be done with a uniform hand movement by the user holding the housing 1 with one hand and grasping the two locking bodies 18 from below with the thumb and the middle finger of the other hand and pressing them towards one another and simultaneously the drip insert 2 from the housing 1 pulls out. The user grips the drip insert 2 only in the area that is not dirty. The drip tray 16 can then be cleaned without having to be removed from the drip insert 2. Even while cleaning the drip tray 16, the user need not touch it.

The housing 1 on the one hand and the holding body 14 on the other hand are each made in one piece from plastic Injection molding. If the drip insert 2 is inserted into the housing 1, then the lower edge 19 of the holding body 14 and the lower edge 10 of the housing 1 are flush, ie the stand stands on both edges as a whole.

Although the holding body 14 has a relatively small wall thickness, it is sufficiently rigid, in particular in its upper region, which receives the drip tray 16, since here an angularly offset web is integrally formed with the holding body 14, which at the same time serves as a support 24 for the edge of the Drip tray 16 is used. The edge of the drip tray 16 is overlapped on one side by a locking web 25 which is fixed relative to the edge 15 of the holding body 14 and on an opposite side by an elastically flexible locking web 26. The drip tray 16 is thus elastically engaged in the holding body 14 and can be easily replaced in the event of damage. On the other hand, the drip tray 16 can be cleaned without the user having to touch the drip tray 16 himself, since it cannot accidentally fall out of the holding body 14.
