Definitions
- the invention relates to a key for a rotationally adjustable cylinder core with a locking cylinder containing a freely opening key channel in its peripheral surface, in particular locking systems, with a key area that is flush with the cylinder core peripheral surface in the key insertion position and that is laterally provided with profile longitudinal grooves and one of the profile areas opposite, facing the key stop facing key, with milled grooves, depressions or the like. Incisions for the assignment of the incision area to be provided in the locking cylinder.
- Cylinder keys of the above type are known in a wide variety of profile shapes. Most of them are designed as flat keys, for example those known from DE-OS 34 10 462, DE-OS 38 17 494, DE-PS 25 33 494, DE-AS 10 30 727 or DE-PS 25 51 523 Shape in which the profile area containing the longitudinal profile grooves is kept practically the same width as the spine of the key, whereas the one lying behind one another in the longitudinal direction Notched single or double row incision area of the key either the same width as the profile area or narrower than it is held.
- cylinder keys known, for example, from DE-PS 37 11 935, which in their profile area facing the key back have a substantially circular-cylindrical cross section, only interrupted by the profile longitudinal grooves, on which the incision notches, which are in turn arranged one behind the other, are provided , much narrower incision area connects.
- DE-PS 680 416 cylinder keys in cross or star profile shape are known, in which the key is provided with a number corresponding to the cross or star shape of radially projecting longitudinal ribs from a common central core, in which the Locking notches arranged in the locking cylinder tumblers are provided. There are no special longitudinal profile grooves for a corresponding profile variation with this key.
- the present invention is based on the object of improving and perfecting a cylinder key of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it maintains its profile area in its incision area while allowing profile grooves to be varied has an even greater stability and, above all, also in a larger number and better arrangement, which makes it possible to accommodate the incisions which ensure the locking of the locking cylinder tumblers.
- this object is essentially achieved according to the invention in that the incision area of the key has an essentially round cylindrical shape and is wider than the profile area of the key.
- the profile area which is narrower than the latter and extends between the spine of the key and the incision area, makes it possible to adequately accommodate profile grooves to be made at locations to be varied, in particular if, according to a further feature of the invention, the height of the profile area in radial direction exceeds that of the incision area.
- the side flanks of the profile area to be provided with the profile longitudinal grooves advantageously run parallel to one another and the incision area projects on both sides beyond the profile area flanks.
- the incision area of the cylinder key can have a circular cylindrical cross section, which either runs evenly rounded or has flattened portions on both sides and on its underside.
- the depressions present in the key cut area are advantageously offset both axially and circumferentially from one another. Because of the comparatively large cylindrical surface of the incision area, which extends over approximately 270 ° all around, they can be attached in large numbers, not only in rows which are axially one behind the other, but also on other arrangement tracks, such as e.g. approximately in a helical arrangement. Individual key depressions in the incision area can partially merge. The key depressions can also be axially at the same height.
- the cylinder key in its profile area can also be provided with transverse openings and, in a limitedly displaceable manner, two-sided beveled styli for classifying further tumbler elements present in the locking cylinder, the length of the styli being greater than the width of the profile area which the styli stick out to the side.
- the raw key shown in FIG. 1, intended for the locking cylinder shown in FIGS. 14 to 16, in particular of locking systems, has a profile area 2 facing the key back 1, in the flanks 2 'of which the profile longitudinal grooves 3 indicated by dash-dotted lines can be milled.
- the incision area 5, which faces the key chest 4, adjoins the profile area 2 and has the depressions 6, milled portions or the like, again indicated here only by dash-dotted lines. Incisions can be provided for the classification of the tumbler elements present in the locking cylinder.
- the side flanks 2 'in the profile area 2 of this raw key run parallel to one another.
- the cut area 5, which in the present case has a circular cylindrical shape, projects beyond these flanks 2 'on both sides.
- a comparatively large number of depressions 6 or similar incisions can therefore be accommodated in it.
- the key is also of great stability in this incision area 5 and is also relatively insensitive to wear.
- the height H of the profile area 2 measured in the radial direction exceeds the height h of the incision area 5.
- a sufficient number of longitudinal grooves 3 can be milled into the profile area 2 at various points to be varied.
- the cylinder key shown in cross section in FIG. 2 likewise has an incision area 5 projecting on both sides over its flanks 2 'located in the profile area 2, but which is not of a strictly circular cross section here, but has flats 5' present on both sides and on its underside .
- the key here is provided with two profile variation grooves 3 ′ arranged on both sides of its back 1, whereas further profile variation grooves 3, as well as the incisions 6 located in the incision area 5, are again only indicated by dash-dotted lines.
- the cylinder wrench shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 has a corresponding profile shape in its shaft 8 connected to the ridge 7, which consists of the profile region 2, which has a substantially rectangular cross section, and the correspondingly thickened incision region 5.
- the ridge 7 is arranged eccentrically in relation to the key shaft 8 which has the profile and incision area 2 or 5 and carries the key stop 4 ', in such a way that here the distance r of the key spine 1 from the adjacent outer edge 7' of it Reide 7 is shorter than the distance a of the key stop 4 'from the adjacent Reiden outer edge 7' '.
- incision area 5 there are two indentations 6 and 6 ', 6' 'arranged one behind the other in rows lying next to each other, the indentations 6' and 6 '' being at the same axial height and partially merging.
- the latter also illustrates in particular the enlarged cross-sectional view in FIG. 4. It shows in particular how extremely close the individual depressions can be arranged for controlling the tumbler elements present in the locking cylinder, so that a large number of differently arranged depressions 6 are provided in the incision area 5 of the key can.
- the cylinder keys depicted in FIGS. 6 to 10 show, similarly to FIGS. 3 and 4, the fundamentally different arrangement possibility of the depressions 6 in rows of arrangements lying at different angles to the profile area 2, respectively.
- the profile longitudinal grooves present in the profile area 2 of the cylinder key are up to the profile variation grooves 3 'not particularly shown.
- the other variously available arrangement options for further depressions 6 are also not shown here.
- the cylinder key shown in FIGS. 11 to 14 likewise has an incision area 5 projecting over its profile area 2 on both sides, in which the depressions 6 are provided for the locking cylinder tumbler elements.
- the key is provided here in its profile area with transverse openings 9 and stylus pins 10 which are mounted so as to be limitedly displaceable therein.
- the edges 9 ' are slightly pressed in at the ends of the openings 9 on both sides, which is indicated in FIG. 13.
- the stylus pins 10 are chamfered at both ends.
- the stylus pins 10 are used to classify further tumbler elements present in the locking cylinder 11, namely here the pairs of pins 12, 12 'and 13, 13' which are each under the action of spring force.
- the pair of pins 12, 12 ' is under the action of the spring 14, which is stronger than the spring 15 acting on the pair of pins 13, 13'.
- the consequence of this is that the pair of pins 12, 12 'can radially deflect when the cylinder key is inserted into the key channel 16 of the cylinder core 17, but in the final insertion position of the key 18, laterally shift the corresponding stylus 10, namely against the other pair of pins 13 , 13 'is able to press, which thereby reaches its illustrated separation or release position.
- the cylinder key shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 projects with its incision area 5 over the profile area 2, where it forms a plug-in tip 5 ′′ which ends in a frustoconical shape. This allows the key in pre-centering the key channel opening with a corresponding conical extension in the locking cylinder and thereby inserting it better and easier.
- the lock cylinders shown in FIGS. 15 and 16 are provided with a key channel 16 pointing upwards in the key withdrawal position, which opens out freely into the peripheral surface 17 ′ of the cylinder core 17, so that when the key 18 is inserted, the back of the key 1 runs flush with the cylinder core peripheral surface 17 '. Otherwise, the locking cylinders shown in these figures differ only in the other circumferentially distributed arrangement of the tumbler pin pairs present in the locking cylinders 11, which are again shifted into their released position by the cylinder key provided with a thickened incision area 5 and depressions 6 correspondingly present therein can.
- the locking cylinders shown here with their tumbler element rows arranged in different angular positions may well belong to the same locking system, the keys shown then forming the associated individual keys with specifically arranged depressions, while the superordinate master key would have to be provided with all depressions that that All locking elements of the different cylinders would allow.
- the cylinder key shown in FIG. 17 differs from the ones described above in that the key stop 4 'and thus also the key face 4 point upwards, while the key back 1 is at the bottom.
- the distance r 'of the back of the key 1 from the adjacent outer edge 7' 'of the key cord 7 is greater than the distance a' of the key stop 4 'from the adjacent outer edge 7' of the key.
- this key is also provided with an incision area 5 provided with incisions 6 and a profile area 2 for the longitudinal grooves 3 to be incorporated therein.
- the locking cylinder belonging to the above-described key is shown in Fig. 18, for which it is characteristic that here the key channel 16 present in the core 17 opens downwards into the outer circumference 17 'of the cylinder core in the key withdrawal position, and thus the inserted key 18 also has a corresponding one In the insertion position in the key channel 16.
- the advantage of this design is that it enables a simpler connection of the lock cylinder housing 11 'to the tube 21 which is to be accommodated in a torsion-proof manner and which accommodates the springs 15 and the tumbler elements 13.
- the downward-facing position of the key back 1 and the key channel 16 are also advantageous in that the locking cylinder is thereby less sensitive to dust and dirt.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a key for a rotationally adjustable cylinder core with a locking cylinder containing a freely opening key channel in its peripheral surface, in particular locking systems, with a key area that is flush with the cylinder core peripheral surface in the key insertion position and that is laterally provided with profile longitudinal grooves and one of the profile areas opposite, facing the key stop facing key, with milled grooves, depressions or the like. Incisions for the assignment of the incision area to be provided in the locking cylinder.
Cylinder keys of the above type are known in a wide variety of profile shapes. The latter is also the case with cylinder keys known, for example, from DE-PS 37 11 935, which in their profile area facing the key back have a substantially circular-cylindrical cross section, only interrupted by the profile longitudinal grooves, on which the incision notches, which are in turn arranged one behind the other, are provided , much narrower incision area connects. Furthermore, for example, according to DE-PS 680 416 cylinder keys in cross or star profile shape are known, in which the key is provided with a number corresponding to the cross or star shape of radially projecting longitudinal ribs from a common central core, in which the Locking notches arranged in the locking cylinder tumblers are provided. There are no special longitudinal profile grooves for a corresponding profile variation with this key. The latter also applies to another key profile shape known according to EU-A1 0 267 316, in which the key shaft has a polygonal profile, on the parallel longitudinal edges of which recesses are provided for the actuation of the locking cylinder tumblers. Furthermore, from DE-PS 817 409 and AU-B-485 117 cylinder keys are known which have a circular cylindrical shaft with key incisions therein and which are provided with one or two opposite longitudinal ribs which form in the inner wall of the key insertion channel Engage cut grooves in the cylinder core bore to ensure the necessary rotary driving connection between the key and the core. These longitudinal ribs are kept very flat radially, so that they are not suitable for the application of profile grooves to be varied.
The present invention is based on the object of improving and perfecting a cylinder key of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it maintains its profile area in its incision area while allowing profile grooves to be varied has an even greater stability and, above all, also in a larger number and better arrangement, which makes it possible to accommodate the incisions which ensure the locking of the locking cylinder tumblers.
Starting from a key of the generic type, this object is essentially achieved according to the invention in that the incision area of the key has an essentially round cylindrical shape and is wider than the profile area of the key.
In this way, significantly more depressions or the like can be made in the comparatively wide and round-cylindrical incision area. Incisions are made for the arrangement of the cylinder tumbler elements, namely distributed over the entire, substantially enlarged circumference of the incision area, with the sole exception of the comparatively narrow profile area adjacent to the latter. The increase in stability due to the comparatively wide design of the incision area also has an advantageous effect, which is important with regard to the incisions to be made therein. Finally, the round, comparatively wide incision area also enables improved radial guidance of the cylinder key when it is inserted into the key channel of the locking cylinder, whereas the guidance of the key in the direction of rotation is still ensured by its profile area. This improved radial guidance also makes it possible to dispense with the otherwise necessary guide profile groove near the back of the key. This area can therefore also be used for profile variation.
The profile area, which is narrower than the latter and extends between the spine of the key and the incision area, makes it possible to adequately accommodate profile grooves to be made at locations to be varied, in particular if, according to a further feature of the invention, the height of the profile area in radial direction exceeds that of the incision area.
The side flanks of the profile area to be provided with the profile longitudinal grooves advantageously run parallel to one another and the incision area projects on both sides beyond the profile area flanks. The incision area of the cylinder key can have a circular cylindrical cross section, which either runs evenly rounded or has flattened portions on both sides and on its underside.
The depressions present in the key cut area are advantageously offset both axially and circumferentially from one another.
According to a further feature of the invention, the cylinder key in its profile area can also be provided with transverse openings and, in a limitedly displaceable manner, two-sided beveled styli for classifying further tumbler elements present in the locking cylinder, the length of the styli being greater than the width of the profile area which the styli stick out to the side. As a result, the security against being broken open can be further improved, since in this case the tumbler elements to be controlled by the key pins of the key do not protrude into the key channel of the locking cylinder, their position is therefore not immediately recognizable from the outside.
Finally, it is still advisable to have the incision area of the key protrude at the front end over its profile area and to make it tapered to form an insertion tip. To this With a corresponding design of the associated key insertion area in the lock cylinder core, the insertion of the key can be made considerably easier since the key tip, in cooperation with the key channel opening which is expediently to be provided with an insertion funnel, brings about a corresponding pre-centering of the key.

The raw key shown in FIG. 1, intended for the locking cylinder shown in FIGS. 14 to 16, in particular of locking systems, has a
The cylinder key shown in cross section in FIG. 2 likewise has an
The cylinder wrench shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 has a corresponding profile shape in its
The cylinder keys depicted in FIGS. 6 to 10 show, similarly to FIGS. 3 and 4, the fundamentally different arrangement possibility of the
The cylinder key shown in FIGS. 11 to 14 likewise has an
Einordnungsposition gelangt. As shown in FIG. 14, the stylus pins 10 are used to classify further tumbler elements present in the
The cylinder key shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 projects with its
The lock cylinders shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, like the one shown in FIG. 14, are provided with a
It goes without saying that in the correspondingly
The cylinder key shown in FIG. 17 differs from the ones described above in that the key stop 4 'and thus also the
The locking cylinder belonging to the above-described key is shown in Fig. 18, for which it is characteristic that here the
