Description

The invention relates to a portable umbrella.

Portable umbrellas, e.g. have long been known as umbrellas or parasols. Also portable radio devices, cassette recorders or similar devices, also with small and smallest dimensions, have been known for a long time. Until now, these two devices were only available separately. This meant that when the two utensils were used at the same time, the umbrella holder no longer had a free hand.

The invention has for its object to provide a portable screen that allows the simultaneous use of a radio, cassette recorder or similar device in a simple manner when used.

The invention achieves this object by the portable umbrella mentioned at the beginning with the characterizing feature of patent claim 1.

The portable umbrella with radio device according to the invention has the advantage that you can listen to the radio with one hand while wearing the open umbrella without having to carry the radio in the other hand.

For simple operation, possibly even through the fingers of the hand carrying the umbrella, the radio is preferably arranged in the area of the handle of the umbrella.

The radio is expediently arranged above or below the handle of the portable screen. In the first alternative it is achieved that the radio is located approximately at the level of the ear of the faceplate when the open screen is worn, which means that the volume is low must be set on the radio. On the one hand, this serves to avoid unnecessarily annoying the surroundings with noise. On the other hand, it can save energy. In the second alternative, a very favorable weight distribution is achieved when the open umbrella is carried with an integrated radio.

The headphones can e.g. conveniently stored in a suitable cavity in the handle of the portable umbrella when not in use. This cavity is alternatively or at the same time also very well suited for accommodating a battery as an energy source for the radio.

It has proven to be convenient to attach the radio to the umbrella stick so that it can also be removed if necessary. So you can use the radio even when the screen is unopened or in another place.

In a preferred embodiment, the radio has connections for headphones in addition to the loudspeakers. For example, many football game visitors tend to listen to the broadcasts of other games taking place at the same time. In many football stadiums, however, the average noise level is so high that you cannot follow the broadcasts using a loudspeaker. In such a situation, it is advantageous to be able to follow the transmissions via headphones. Even if the portable umbrella as a parasol, e.g. in outdoor pools, it is beneficial to listen to the radio through headphones, since listening to the radio using loudspeakers is prohibited in many outdoor pools.

It is very expedient to design the housing of the radio in such a way that it is impermeable to water. Although the radio For example, if the umbrella is protected in the event of rain, it cannot be ruled out that it will be exposed to direct moisture in heavy rain or when the rain is accompanied by strong wind. In such cases, to avoid interference, such as short circuits, it is advantageous if moisture is kept as far as possible from the inside of the radio.
