Verfahren zum Betrieb einer Streicheinrichtung mit einem Rakelelement, das in seinem Arbeitsbereich, in welchem es gegen eine Gegenwalze gepreßt wird, mit einer Streichkante Streichmasse glättet und dosiert und Klingen- oder leisten­förmig oder sowie zumindestens in seinem Trag- und Ein­spannbereich, in welchem es in einer Tragvorrichtung fest­gespannt ist, mit Federelastizität ausgebildet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß mittels ,in unmittelbarer Nähe der Streichkante (18) des Rakelelements (1) an diesem unmittel­bar oder mittelbar über Zwischenträger (7, 7′, 16, 17, 19) befestigte Sendern (2) auf ortsfeste oder mit der Rakel­halterung (28, 9) unmittelbar oder durch Trägerelemente mittelbar verbundene Empfänger (25) - oder mit umgekehrter Anordnung - Signale zuführbar sind, die der Winkellage der Streichkante (18) oder Abweichungen der Winkellage der Streichkante (18) von einem Sollwert entsprechen oder eine solche Abweichung signalisieren und daß mittels dieser Signale die Winkellage des Rakelelementes (1) geregelt wird.1.
