Description

The invention relates to a weapon housing for a firearm according to the preamble of claim 1.

The ignition device at the rear end of the weapon housing is also referred to as a trigger device or piercing device.

Firearms in which the ammunition is fed sideways to the weapon in cartridge chambers and the cartridges supplied are ignited with the aid of a piercing device are already known. Attention is drawn to both U.S. Patent Nos. 3,429,220 and 3,890,878. In particular, from the latter document (Fig. 55 to 66) a weapon housing is disclosed according to the preamble of claim 1 mentioned above, which, however, is formed in one piece with the weapon barrel and specially arranged at least partially axially offset for the use of short special ammunition, projectile and propellant charge chamber. The weapon housing is therefore relatively difficult and also complex to manufacture. Furthermore, the use of the proposed special ammunition is limited, mainly to small-bore weapons.

The object which is to be achieved with the present invention is to create a weapon housing which is as simple as possible to manufacture, which is at least partially made of plastic and is therefore lightweight.

The invention, as characterized in the claims, has the advantage that the weapon housing can be manufactured easily and with a relatively small amount of work. Furthermore, the endless slivers are ideally suited to absorb the forces generated by gas pressure.

Vorzugsweise wird der kugelförmige Körper 12 mit den fünf Zapfen 15 bis 19 aus einem Stück hergestellt, insbesondere lässt sich dieser vordere Teil 10 des Waffengehäuses 11 sehr leicht giessen.1, the front part 10 of the weapon housing 11 (FIG. 3) has a spherical body 12 which contains a cylindrical bore 13 which is directed coaxially to the axis of a weapon barrel 14. The weapon barrel 14, of which only a small part is visible, protrudes through a pin 15 of the front part 10. Four further pins 16, 17, 18 and 19 are attached to the spherical body 12, two of these pins, namely pins 17 and 18 on the one hand and pins 16 and 19 on the other hand, being arranged coaxially with one another. The spherical body 12 with the five pins 15 to 19 is preferably produced in one piece, in particular this front part 10 of the weapon housing 11 can be cast very easily.

According to FIG. 2, the rear part 20 of the weapon housing 11 has a spherical body 21 which also contains a cylindrical bore 22 in which the ignition device, trigger device or piercing device 27 is not shown. This device 27 is assumed to be known and is therefore not further explained. In particular, this device has an ignition pin for piercing the cartridges. Four pins 23, 24, 25 and 26 are attached to the spherical body 21, with two of these four pins, namely pins 23 and 26 on the one hand and pins 24 and 25 on the other hand, being arranged coaxially with one another. This body too 21 with the four pins 23 to 26 is preferably made from one piece, which is also easy to cast.

These endless bands are preferably stiffened themselves and fastened to the associated eight pins 16 to 19 and 23 to 26, preferably with adhesive connections 37, to maintain the distance between the two parts 10 and 20.

Die Fördervorrichtung ist jedoch nicht dargestellt und wird als bekannt vorausgesetzt.4, a number of cartridge chambers 32 are connected to one another to form an endless cartridge band 33. There is a cartridge 36 in each cartridge chamber 32. With this endless cartridge belt 33, the cartridges 36 are fed to the firearm. However, the conveyor is not shown and is assumed to be known.

Die Fördervorrichtung zum Verschieben des Magazins ist jedoch nicht dargestellt und wird als bekannt vorausgesetzt.5, a number of cartridge chambers 34 are connected to one another to form a rigid cartridge package or cartridge magazine 35. There is a cartridge 36 in each cartridge chamber 34. With this cartridge magazine 35, the cartridges 36 are fed to the firearm. However, the conveyor device for moving the magazine is not shown and is assumed to be known.

The two parts 10 and 20 of the weapon housing 11 can, however, also be connected to one another in a casing (not shown) or by spacer sleeves or spacer bars (not shown). All four bands 29 to 31 are preferably of the same length and have the same cross sections and the same fiber material. The smaller pegs 16, 19 and 23, 26 are therefore arranged at a greater distance than the larger pegs 17, 18 and 24.25.
