  • the radius of the concave rear edge 38 of the pin 21 is smaller than the radius of the arc surface pairs 36, 37 or those corresponding pairs on lugs 28 and 29. Therefore, if the pin 21 is placed in contact with the lug 21 arc surface 36, 37, but not in assembly on a nose, the contact is locally near the ends of the lug surfaces as at 32 and 33. With assembly of the pin into a point and nose assembly, this contact of the pin on the lug arc surfaces becomes more distributed because the pin is caused to flex through the contact of its forward convex edge 39 with the forward wall 24 of the nose groove 40 -- see FIGS. 5, 8 and 10. Finally, under operating loads received on the point during service, the pin is able to flex still more so that the radius of its concave rear edge 38 essentially matches that of lug arc surfaces 36, 37 for full surface contact.

  • the nose bearing surface is planar as at 24 in FIG. 8 or slightly arcuate as at 124 in FIG. 9 relative to the groove 140. Nominally, the pin bears on the nose surfaces at 24, 124 near the longitudinal mid-plane of the nose, but during impact stress the bearing shifts above and below the mid-plane.
  • the groove 40 in the nose is defined insofar as its rear wall is concerned by an integral ledge 43 -- compare FIGS. 3 and 4.

This construction does not offer the advantage of rocking engagement with the nose lock groove wall 224 but it would be suitable for light duty applications, and as such, would provide the advantage of operating without a plug D.

Claims (10)

  1. Auswechselspitze für einen Baggerzahn zur Befestigung an einer Baggerausrüstung, mit einem verhältnismäßig langgestreckten unitären Körper (A'), der an seinem vorderen Ende eine Erdeingriffskante aufweist und der an dem hinteren Ende, das durch eine Oberseite, eine Unterseite und ein Seitenwandpaar begrenzt ist, eine Anschlußmuffe (27) zur Nasenaufnahme aufweist, wobei sich mindestens eine der Seitenwände nach hinten über die Ober- und Unterseiten hinaus erstreckt, um ein Ohr vorzusehen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß dieses sich nach hinten erstreckende Seitenwandohr (25) in der Nachbarschaft dessen Ober- und Unterseite vertikal mit Abstand angeordnete obere und untere Ohransätze (29, 28; 229, 228) aufweist, die so ausgerichtet sind, daß sie an einem Sperrbolzen (21, 221) lagern, wobei sich jeder Ohransatz nur einwärts von der Seitenwand (25) ungefähr in einem rechten Winkel zu der Seitenwand (25) erstreckt, um an einem Sperrbolzen (21, 221) zu lagern, wobei sich die Ansätze (29, 28; 229, 228) ganz hinten an der Seitenwand (25) befinden, wobei die Rückseiten der Ansätze (29, 28; 229, 228) die hinterste Ausdehnung der genannten einen Seitenwand (25) bilden.
  2. Spitze nach Anspruch 1, ferner dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich das nach hinten erstreckende Seitenwandohr (25) so zwischen den vertikal mit Abstand angeordneten oberen und unteren Ohransätzen (29, 28; 229, 228) erstreckt, daß der Sperrbolzen während dem Baggern vor Erde und Steinen geschützt wird.
  3. Spitze nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei das obere Teilstück des oberen Ansatzes ungefähr mit der Oberseite ausgerichtet ist, und wobei das untere Teilstück des unteren Ansatzes ungefähr mit der Unterseite ausgerichtet ist.
  4. Spitze nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, wobei die Muffe (27) einen allgemein kreisförmigen Querschnitt aufweist, und wobei die Ansätze (29, 28; 229, 228) jeweils eine nach innen gerichtete Wand aufweisen, die in deren zueinander benachbarten Teilstücken abgeschrägt sind, so daß sie mit der Form der Muffe zusammenpassen.
  5. Spitze nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Ansätze (29, 28; 229, 228) jeweils eine vorwärts ausgerichtete Wand aufweisen, wobei das Teilstück der vorwärts gerichteten Wand des unteren Ansatzes, das sich in Nachbarschaft zu dem oberen Ansatz befindet, nach hinten abgeschrägt ist, um den Sperrbolzen bei dessen Installation zu führen.
  6. Spitze nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei sich beide Seitenwände über die Ober- und Unterseiten hinaus erstrecken, wobei jede Seitenwand mit den Ansätzen (29, 28; 229, 228) versehen ist.
  7. Spitze nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Ansätze (29, 28) jeweils eine nach vorne zeigende, gebogene Wand aufweisen.
  8. Spitze nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei die Ansätze jeweils eine nach vorne zeigende, ebene Wand aufweisen.
  9. Zusammenbau mit einer Spitze gemäß einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, mit einem mit einer Nase versehenen Anschlußstück (B''), wobei die Nase mit einer sich vertikal erstreckenden Rille (40) zur Aufnahme eines Sperrbolzens versehen ist, und einem vertikal verhältnismäßig langgestreckten Sperrbolzen (C'') in der Rille (40), wobei die Rille eine Vorderwand (24, 124, 224) aufweist, die lagernd mit einem Zwischenstück des Sperrbolzens (C'') eingreift, und wobei die Ohransätze (29, 28; 229, 228) der Spitze neben den Enden des Sperrbolzens (C'') lagernd mit dem Sperrbolzen eingreifen.
  10. Zusammenbau nach Anspruch 9, wobei das Anschlußstück mit einer sich horizontal erstreckenden Vertiefung (46) versehen ist, die mit dem Sperrbolzen (C'') ausgerichtet ist, und mit einer elastischen Schließeinrichtung für den Sperrbolzen (C'') in der Vertiefung (46), wobei sich die Vertiefung (46) von der Rille einwärts erstreckt.
