Abstract

A reversible two-high section roll stand 1 with multi-pass rolls 10, 11. The bearing blocks 14, 15 of these rolls 10, 11 are guided in windows 2c, 3c of the housings 2, 3 of the roll stand 1. The two-high section roll stand 1 is intended for a roll stand arrangement in which it is set up together with further roll stands of the same type side by side in rows, transversely to the rolling direction. In this arrangement, the rolls 10, 11 can be connected at their two ends with driving means or with drive transmission elements arranged between the rolls of adjacent roll stands. Supports 22, 23, 24, 25 connectable to the roll stand 1 are arranged for each of the rolls 10, 11 of the roll pairs on both sides of the roll gap formed by the latter, and assigned to and connectable to each of these supports 22, 23, 24, 25 are special adjustable and lockable guides 26, 27, 28, 29 for the rolling stock which are associated with the shaping grooves. The housings 2, 3 have connecting caps 4, 5 which are hinged on their posts 2a, 3a, can be pushed or pivoted upwards and, in the raised position, permit the removal of the rolls 10, 11. The bearing blocks 14, 15 of the roll pairs 10, 11 can be placed in a carrying frame 17, 18, 19. This carrying frame 17, 18, 19 can be pushed in and lifted out from between the posts 2a, 3a of the housings 2, 3. It is furthermore possible for the supports 22, 23, 24, 25 for the guides 26, 27, 28, 29 for the rolling stock to be inserted into this carrying frame 17, 18, 19. <IMAGE>
