- clamping devices which can be changed in stages for workpieces and / or tools of different clamping heights.
- the document EP-A-0 133 634 is mentioned, for example.
- the clamping device described there is operated hydraulically, has a lever rocker and holds the workpieces with clamping lugs, which are arranged on a turret with different heights.
- the grading of the different clamping heights is relatively rough.
- a fine adjustment is additionally provided via the screw thread.
- a readjustment of this tensioning device therefore generally requires two successive work steps, which is annoying in the case of frequent changes.
- the second clamping device is relatively complicated and correspondingly expensive.
- the construction of the tensioning device according to the invention is simple and can be manufactured inexpensively.
- the clamping range is quite substantial and has a fine gradation.
- the operation of the device requires only two combined handles of the simplest kind.
- the tensioning device thus optimally fulfills the first requirement of the stated task.
- FIG. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of the tensioning device 10 according to the invention from the side.
- This device is designed for mounting on a machine table, not shown, which has T-shaped grooves.
- the device 10 has a T-shaped foot 11 with which it can be inserted into one of the grooves, not shown is. It is also constructed such that it can be pivoted about an axis 13 into any angular position.
- the tensioning device works on the principle of the lever rocker. For this purpose, it has as an axis an axle pin 17 on which two one-armed lever arms 21, 22 are rotatably mounted. These lever arms 21, 22 are angularly rigidly connected to one another in a manner to be described.
- a return spring 28 is provided so that this lever arm 21 can return to its rest position after actuation by the hydraulic cylinder 25. This spring 28 presses from below against a pressure edge 29 of the lever arm 21, which is arranged on the side of the lever arm 21 opposite the actual arm.
- the spring 28 is so strong that it presses the oil of the hydraulic cylinder 25 back into the feed line, not shown, during the push-back movement.
- the return spring 28 is a pretensioned spring assembly in the form of a centrally guided helical spring.
- the other lever arm 22 is force-free and movable when the tensioning device 10 is relieved.
- the second lever arm 22 can be brought into numerous different angular positions with respect to the first lever arm 21.
- gearwheel 18 with external spur gearing, which is also and concentrically arranged on the axle pin 17.
- This gear 18 engages with its entire circumference flush in gear rings 31, 32 (not visible in FIG. 1), which have internal teeth and correspond in mass to the masses of the gear 18.
- Fig. 2 shows the clamping device 10 in cross section to the view of Fig. 1, the section plane leading through the axle bolt 17. 2 shows the coupling area described above better.
- the axle pin 17 is supported on both sides in bores 35, 36 which are contained in two U-shaped support legs 37, 38.
- the axle bolt 17 has two different diameters, carries a disk-shaped bolt head 41 at one end and a washer 42 at its other end. This is fastened to the axle bolt 17 by means of a screw 43 and corresponds in its dimensions to the bolt head 41 A relatively closely fitting cylindrical sleeve 42 is pushed onto the smaller diameter, the outer diameter of which preferably corresponds to that of the bolt area with the larger diameter.
- the gear wheel is loosely attached to the pin 17 and is axially immovable on one side through the sleeve 45 and on the other side through the shoulder 44 between the two diameter regions of the axle pin 17 held.
- the gear 18 is located half in the ring gear 31 of one lever arm 21 and in the ring gear 32 of the other lever arm 22.
- the ring gears 31, 32 represent bag-shaped depressions in the two lever arms 21, 22, which have the mentioned end-shaped internal gears on their cylindrical walls wear.
- the width or depth of the ring gears 31 and 32 is different. That of the first ring 31 corresponds to half the width of the gear 18, that of the second ring 32 corresponds to the full width of the gear 18. For this reason, there is normally a cavity with half the width of the gear 18 in the second lever arm 22 next to the gear 18 .
- the gear 18 has on one side a concentric annular groove 19 in which a coil spring 48 is held parallel to the axle bolt 17.
- This spring 48 stands under tension, being supported on the side surface of the second ring gear 32.
- This spring 48 presses the gear 18 and the axle pin 17 against a stop.
- This stop is given either by the outer wall of the second support leg 38, on which the disk 42 rests (as shown in FIG. 2), or by the side surface of the first ring gear 31, on which the gear wheel 18 rests. In this position, hereinafter referred to as the first working position, the axle pin 17 protrudes laterally out of the first support leg 37.
- the first working position is characterized overall by the fact that, as shown in FIG. 2, the gear 18 lies in the center in the two ring gears 31, 32 and connects these and thus the two lever arms 21, 22 to one another at an angle.
- all teeth of the gear 18 and the ring gears 31, 32 serve simultaneously and in total for the transmission of force or for the transmission of the torques between the two lever arms 21, 22. Due to the toothing parallel to the axis of the gear 18, no shear forces occur in the longitudinal direction of the axle bolt 17 , so that the gear 18 always remains stable regardless of the prevailing forces or torques.
- the axle bolt 17 can be axially displaced in the direction of arrow 50 by manual pressure on the bolt head 41.
- the bolt 17 takes the gear 18 via the shoulder 44 and pushes it completely into the second ring gear 32.
- the coil spring 48 is compressed and completely absorbed by the annular groove 19.
- the axial sliding movement is limited by the bolt head 41 as soon as it bears against the outer wall of the first support leg 37 or by the gearwheel 18 as soon as it bears in the base of the second ring gear 32.
- any angular position between the lever arms 21, 22, which allows the periodic pattern of the teeth With e.g. 72 teeth per circumference of the gear 18 means that the possible angular positions differ by five degrees or an integral multiple thereof. This means a very fine gradation compared to the known, which corresponds to a correspondingly fine gradation of the distance between the machine table and the clamping lug 23 of the second lever arm 22.
- FIG. 3 shows the two lever arms 21 and 22 in different angular positions to one another.
- the gearwheel 18 (shown enlarged in sections) has e.g. said 72 teeth 61 and a corresponding number of tooth gaps 62.
- the angle between two teeth 61 thus corresponds to five degrees.
- a fixation of the first 21 with the second lever arm 22 via the gearwheel 18 is now only possible if the teeth 61 of the ring gears 31 and 32 and the tooth gaps 62 of the gearwheel 18 are aligned and accordingly the tooth gaps 62 of the ring gears with the teeth 61 of the Gear.
- These mutual angular positions occur every 5 degrees in the selected, preferred example, and the coverable angle or adjustment range between the lever arms 21 and 22 corresponds to approximately 90 degrees.
- the gear 18 forms a central-symmetrical unit with a periodic pattern, which is arranged concentrically to the axis of the lever rocker or to the axle pin 17, that is to say a ring with a centrally symmetrical structure.
- the periodic pattern must be designed so that it matches one Can interlock the counter pattern in such a way that a torque can be transmitted in the toothed state between the two lever arms 21, 22. In each angular position in which the pattern and the counter-pattern can interlock, an angularly rigid connection of the two lever arms 21, 22 is possible.
- the claw parts according to Fig. 4 are e.g. formed as mutually opposite claw surfaces 54, which carry a pattern of elevations 55 and corresponding depressions 56.
- the elevations 55 of one claw surface 54 can engage in the recesses 56 of the other claw surface 54 and vice versa. If they engage in one another, the first working position is present in which a torque can be transmitted between the two lever arms 21, 22. In the second position, the claw parts are moved apart so that the elevations 55 and depressions 56 do not interlock and no torque can act.
- both claw surfaces 54 are the same and correspond to uniformly distributed, radially oriented, wedge-shaped webs and spaces, the flanks of the webs being aligned parallel to the axis or the axle bolt 17 in order to avoid forces that drive apart.
- the prestressed coil spring 48 can be replaced by a tension spring. It can continue any other Spring type are used that pushes or pulls the gear 18 into its first working position.
- the axle pin 17 can have a uniform cylindrical diameter, the sleeve 45 mentioned and a further sleeve holding the gear 18 on both sides of the pin 17 so that it cannot move.
- the gear 18 can be rigidly attached to the axle bolt 17.
- the axle pin 17 can be rigidly mounted in the support legs 37, 38 and the gear 18 can be moved axially on the pin 17.
- the gear 18 can then be pressed into its first and / or second working position by guides.
- the guide can be actuated electromagnetically, e.g. through a tie rod magnet.
- the second lever arm 22 can be moved automatically instead of manually by an actuator.
- the force mediator can be designed as a screw thread, possibly motor-operated, instead of as a hydraulic cylinder 25.
- the return spring 28 can be of any design, for example also as a tension spring. Your point of attack can be at any point that enables a torque on the lever arm 21.
- the return spring 28 can be replaced by an elastic buffer member, e.g. made of rubber, or an active push-back member, e.g. a second hydraulic cylinder can be replaced.
- the shape of the teeth 61 and the tooth gaps 62 of the gear 18 and the ring gears 31, 32 can be of any design. The remaining requirement is that the teeth and the gaps correspond inversely and that they are mutually elevated and associated depressions jam.
- the clamping device 10 is extremely easy to use. For adjustment to any workpiece or tool, the device 10 is pushed into one of the T-shaped grooves of the machine table and positioned by rotating about the axis 13. The axle pin 17 is then printed in the direction of arrow 50 as far as it will go and held in this position. Due to the pressure of the return spring 28, the first lever arm 21 is relatively rigid in its rest position. The second lever arm 22, on the other hand, is released from its rigid connection to the first lever arm 21 and can now be rotated into virtually any angular position or nose height without any difficulty. By releasing the axle bolt 17, the angularly rigid connection is then restored. The gradation remaining in the aforementioned, relatively fine toothing of the gear 18 is so small that it can be compensated for by the stroke of each commercially available hydraulic cylinder 25. This eliminates any further manipulation in the setting.
- the assembly or disassembly of the tensioning device 10 is also very simple.
- the spring 48 is inserted into the annular groove 19 of the gear wheel 18 and this in the right side into the ring gears 31, 32 of the lever arms 21, 22.
- This package is stored in the support legs 37, 38 by inserting the axle pin 17.
- the assembly is ended and the bolt 17 is captively fixed.
- the tensioning device 10 thus forms a simple, inexpensive element that is very flexible and versatile.
- the device 10 can be used as a manually operated aid for a wide variety of machine tools.
- Applications in robotics, for example, are possible in a lighter version, in particular if the axial pressing of the axle bolt 17 and the respectively subsequent rotation of the second lever arm 22 can be automated by, for example, further hydraulic cylinders.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a clamping device for holding a tool or workpiece on a machine table according to the preamble of claim 1.
Clamping devices, also called clamping brackets or clamping claws, are generally known. It is also known to use clamping devices which can be changed in stages for workpieces and / or tools of different clamping heights. For this purpose, the document EP-A-0 133 634 is mentioned, for example. The clamping device described there is operated hydraulically, has a lever rocker and holds the workpieces with clamping lugs, which are arranged on a turret with different heights.
Another tensioning device with lever rocker is known from the document US Pat. No. 4,120,490. This rocker is composed of two independent, one-sided lever arms, which are rotatably mounted on the same axis and can be connected to each other in an angularly rigid manner via different bolt holes and a bolt inserted into them. By selecting the respective holes, it is possible to set different angular positions between the lever arms, as a result of which the nose of the clamping lever receives different distances from the machine table. This clamping device is clamped using a screw thread.
In the two clamping devices mentioned, the grading of the different clamping heights is relatively rough. In the second device, therefore, a fine adjustment is additionally provided via the screw thread. A readjustment of this tensioning device therefore generally requires two successive work steps, which is annoying in the case of frequent changes. In addition, the second clamping device is relatively complicated and correspondingly expensive.
It is the object of the invention to provide a further tensioning device which can be changed relatively finely in a single work step and which is suitable for hydraulic actuation.
Die abhängigen Ansprüche geben Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung an.The solution to this problem is defined by claim 1. The dependent claims provide embodiments of the invention.
The construction of the tensioning device according to the invention is simple and can be manufactured inexpensively. The clamping range is quite substantial and has a fine gradation. The operation of the device requires only two combined handles of the simplest kind. The tensioning device thus optimally fulfills the first requirement of the stated task.

The tensioning device works on the principle of the lever rocker. For this purpose, it has as an axis an
The
The angularly rigid connection of the two
Fig. 2 zeigt den oben beschriebenen Koppelbereich besser. Fig. 2 shows the
The
The
Drehmomenten stets lagestabil bleibt. The first working position is characterized overall by the fact that, as shown in FIG. 2, the
In the relaxed state, the
The second working position has been reached. In this, the angularly rigid connection between the two
As soon as the manual pressure on the
Einstellbereich zwischen den Hebelarmen 21 und 22 entspricht etwa 90 Grad.3 shows the two
In general, the
The arrangement described for the angularly rigid coupling of the two
In another embodiment, the claw parts according to Fig. 4 are e.g. formed as mutually opposite claw surfaces 54, which carry a pattern of
It is advantageous if the patterns of both claw surfaces 54 are the same and correspond to uniformly distributed, radially oriented, wedge-shaped webs and spaces, the flanks of the webs being aligned parallel to the axis or the
Von diesen werden folgende erwähnt:The invention permits a considerable number of variants. The following are mentioned:
The
The
The
The
The
The force mediator can be designed as a screw thread, possibly motor-operated, instead of as a
The
The
The shape of the
The clamping
The assembly or disassembly of the
The
