Definitions
- the present invention relates to a grooved drum for a thread traversing device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Groove drums also called reverse thread rolls, of the type mentioned are known. They essentially consist of a cylindrical body, on the surface of which two oppositely arranged helical grooves are provided and are connected to one another at the ends of the drum. The apex of the arc connecting the two grooves forms the turning point of a thread guide guided in the groove of the groove drum. So that an oscillating movement occurs, two guide rails are fastened at a mutual distance parallel to the axis of rotation of the spool drum and guide the thread guide inserted in the spool drum back and forth. With high double stroke rates and wind speed of 8000 / m / min. very high acceleration forces on the thread guide result at the reversal points at the ends of the grooved drum.
- a traversing device which has a two-stage thread guide which is guided in the helical area of the groove with the lower narrow part and in the reversal points at the connections of the two opposing grooves only from the upper area.
- the transition of the two opposing grooves at the ends and in the adjoining areas is carried out in two stages, such that in the reversal area the thread guide is guided on both sides exclusively by the upper section of the guide part of the thread guide.
- An additional guide is used on the inside of the reversing curve, which has a guide path that is different from the outside curve.
- the invention seeks to remedy this.
- the invention as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a grooved drum for a thread traversing device which, with little effort, prevents the thread guide from tipping over in the reversal points of the grooves.
- the grooves 5 and 7 are formed in a conventional manner and are therefore not shown in the central helical region.
- a support curve 15 runs essentially parallel to the outer groove flank 13 of the arcuate section 11.
- the support curve 15 projects beyond the surface 3 of the groove drum 1 and can be part be a circumferential flange or in a flange section extending over a part of the circumference.
- the groove drum 1 is accommodated in a housing 17 and is rotatably supported on the side of the housing by means of roller bearings 19. Laterally, the housing is closed off by a slot 21 through the two guide rails 9.
- the guide rails 9 can have a flat or, as shown in FIG. 2, a V-shaped guide for the thread guide along the slot 21. It is also possible that to form both edges of the guide rails 9 forming the slot 21 with other guide forms.
- the upper part 23 of a thread guide 25 projects through the slot 21.
- the lower part 27 of the thread guide 25, the so-called shuttle lies completely within the guide grooves 5, 7.
- the thread guide plate 31, which is preferably made of ceramic and has a slot 29 and is embedded in the upper part 23, projects beyond the surface of the slot 21.
- FIGS. 4-9 explain two thread guides 25 suitable for use in the above-described grooved drum 1.
- the one-part thread guide according to FIG. 4 has a shuttle 27, which is designed in a known manner, the shape of which allows a surface-like contact with the guide grooves 5 and 9 and can pass through the reversal area A with essentially little friction.
- the height h of the boat corresponds approximately to the depth t of the grooves 5 and 7.
- the boat 27 is connected to the upper part 23 by means of a neck 33.
- the upper part 23 according to FIG. 4 is essentially diamond-shaped, the larger diagonal being arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the boat 27.
- the rounded regions furthest from the center have a shape which is the same as that of the edges of the guide rails 9.
- the guidance of the upper part 23 of the thread guide 25 is essentially rectangular, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 7-9 the guidance of the upper part 23 of the thread guide is V-shaped and fits into a guide groove 21, as shown in FIG Figure 2 is shown.
- the thread guide 25 is constructed in two parts, so that the upper part 23 can be rotated relative to the lower part (boat) 27.
- a pin 35 is injected or inserted into the shuttle 27, which pin is rotatably inserted into a bore 37 in the upper part 23.
- the pin 35 could also be attached to the upper part 23 and the bore 37 to the shuttle 27.
- the two-part thread guide 25 has an upper part 23, the guides 38 of which are straight are formed and allow a linear guide on the guide rails 9 in the guide slot 21.
- the front edges 39 which come into contact with the support curve 15 in the arcuate section 11, are arcuate. The radius of the arc can be approximated to the radius of the support curve 15.
- the support curve 15 has a profile that corresponds to the characteristic of the reversal curve of the thread guide slot 29.
- the radial distance between the outer flank of the grooves 13 in the arcuate section 11 to the surface of the support curve 15 is constant at least in the apex region and corresponds to the distance B between the side flank of the boat 27 and the front edge 39 of the upper part 23.
- the mode of operation of the support curve 15 is briefly explained below.
- the thread guide 25 is guided and transported in a conventional manner.
- the arcuate section 11 which connects the two grooves 5 and 7 to one another
- one of the end edges 39 of the thread guide 25 alternately comes into contact with the support or guide curve 15.
- the tilting moment which occurs in the apex S due to the reversal occurs Acceleration forces causing the thread guide 25 are completely absorbed by the system on the support curve 15.
- Neither the outer flank 13 of the guide groove area 11, nor the surface 3 of the groove drum 1 between the arcuate section 11 and the guide curve 15 are stressed by high frictional forces on the underside of the upper part 23 of the thread guide 25.
- the local stress on the thread guide 25, in particular also the neck 33 connecting the upper part 23 to the lower part 27, is exposed to very low alternating loads.
- a correspondingly selected surface condition of both the support curve 15 and the area 11 lying between the support curve 15 and the groove result in an essentially wear-free operation of the groove drum 1.
- the service life of the thread guides 25 is also increased considerably as a result.
Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a grooved drum for a thread traversing device according to the preamble of
Groove drums, also called reverse thread rolls, of the type mentioned are known.
Even if the thread guide is only approx. 1g heavy, forces arise in the reversal points that can easily reach 80 N. Since part of the mass of the thread guide is outside the groove, the high reverse acceleration at the ends results in a tipping moment on the thread guide. This tilting moment causes the thread guide to be ground on the surface of the grooved drum. This leads on the one hand to wear of the groove drum surface and on the other hand to premature rapid wear of the thread guide.
From US-PS 4,415,126 a traversing device is known which has a two-stage thread guide which is guided in the helical area of the groove with the lower narrow part and in the reversal points at the connections of the two opposing grooves only from the upper area. For this purpose, the transition of the two opposing grooves at the ends and in the adjoining areas is carried out in two stages, such that in the reversal area the thread guide is guided on both sides exclusively by the upper section of the guide part of the thread guide. An additional guide is used on the inside of the reversing curve, which has a guide path that is different from the outside curve. This known device requires an expensive production method of the thread guide groove drum and also does not prevent the tilting movement of the thread guide at the reversal point when the greatest acceleration forces are effective.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, solves the problem of creating a grooved drum for a thread traversing device which, with little effort, prevents the thread guide from tipping over in the reversal points of the grooves.
Surprisingly, it is possible to hold the thread guide in the reversal point with the guide curve located above the center of gravity of the thread guide in such a way that tilting and thus locally greater contact forces on the groove drum can be avoided. The formation of the curve supporting the thread guide at the reversal points can be adapted to the yarns to be processed, in such a way that the characteristic of the reversal remains constant regardless of the state of wear of the thread guide. Another advantage of the grooved drum according to the invention is that both a longer lifespan of the grooved drum and of the thread guide can be achieved.

The

The one-part thread guide according to FIG. 4 has a
The mode of operation of the
