Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein unterkalibriges Wuchtgeschoß (10) mit abwerfbarem Treibkäfig (12). Zum Schutz des bruchempfindlichen Wolfram-Penetratorkernes (14) weisen bekannte Geschosse eine den Penetratorkern (14) umhüllende Stahlhülle (16) auf. Die Herstellung derartiger Geschosse mit form- und kraftschlüssig verbundener vorgefertigter Stahlhülle (16) sind fertigungstechnisch aufwendig und konstenintensiv.
Diese Nachteile werden mit der Erfindung dadurch vermieden, daß die Stahlhülle durch Auftragsschweißung an Ort und Stelle auf dem schlanken Penetratorkern ausgebildet und fixiert wird.
