Abstract

The folding curtain, especially for conservatories, has a plurality of tensioning wires which pass through the curtain in receptacles provided spaced apart, the ends of which wires are attached in the tensioning shaft or in a lower rail of the curtain, and which can be tensioned via a device fastened to the head rail in order to prevent sagging of the curtain. Serving as tensioning device is a shaft, whose ends are received by bearing boreholes which are seated in the limbs of the U-shaped head rail, the tensioning shaft, on whose outer surface the tensioning wire can be wound, is rotatable by means of a tool in such a way that the tensioning wire is tightened. The rotary movement of the tensioning shaft can be arrested by a nut. Serving as tool are a spanner or form-fitting elements which come into effective connection with the tensioning shaft. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a folding curtain, in particular for conservatories, with a plurality of tensioning wires, the ends of which are fastened in a tensioning shaft or a bottom rail of the curtain, and which in order to prevent the sagging of the curtain, in a provided, spaced-apart receptacles prevent can be clamped via a device held on the headrail. In known embodiments, a worm gear is used as the clamping device, the housing of which has to be fastened to the head rail. This design is not only cost-intensive, but it also has the disadvantage that the individual components such as worm, bearing blocks, worm wheel, tension shaft and the fastening elements cannot be accommodated in a space-saving manner. It is therefore not possible to install the clamping device within the head rail.

The invention has for its object to provide a tensioning device for folding curtains that can be inexpensively manufactured and accommodated in the head rail. To achieve this object, it is proposed according to the invention that a shaft serves as the clamping device, the ends of which are received by bearing bores, which sit in the legs of the U-shaped head rail, the tension shaft, on the outer surface of which the tension wire can be wound, can be rotated with the aid of a tool in such a way that the tension wire tightens. This configuration ensures that the tensioning shaft replaces the entire tensioning device.

In a preferred embodiment, the rotary movement of the tensioning shaft can be ascertained by a screw nut which interacts with an external thread of the one end of the shaft designed as an axle stub. This can be carried out easily and inexpensively, and the handling of the tensioning shaft is particularly simple even for laypeople.

According to a further feature of the invention, the stub axle receiving the screw nut can be pressed in regions into the clamping shaft designed as a hollow body. This design is recommended for manufacturing reasons.

A wrench can be used as a tool, which interacts with a polygonal socket provided in the head of the stub axle. This has the advantage that the tension shaft can be adjusted with a commercially available tool that is available everywhere.

However, it is also possible to use form-fitting links such as toggles, wing nuts, wing screws or the like, which are in operative connection with the tensioning shaft and can be actuated manually.

In the drawing, the invention is shown in one embodiment. Show it:
  • 1 shows a section of a winter garden, the window of which is to be fitted with a folding curtain,
  • 2 shows a section of a head rail with the tension shaft used and a tension wire in an enlarged, diagrammatic representation,
  • Fig. 3 is a lower rail in an enlarged side view when inserted into a holder, and
  • Fig. 4 is an enlarged front view of the tension shaft, partially cut, and the nut.

Die Drehbewegung des Stiftschlüssels 20 wird beendet, sobald der Spanndraht 12 die erforderliche Spannung aufweist.1 shows a section of a winter garden with a window 10 which is to be equipped with a folding curtain 11. 1 illustrates how the folding curtain 11 is to be attached. The folding curtain 11 is traversed by tension wires 12 which are successively guided through receptacles which are provided in the curtain 11 at a distance from one another. These tensioning wires 12 prevent the folding curtain 11 from sagging. Their ends are fastened in the tensioning shaft 15 and in the lower rail 14. The tensioning wires 12 are tightened with the aid of the tensioning shaft 15, which is shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. As illustrated in FIG. 2, the tensioning shaft 15 has ends 16 which are received in bearing bores 17 of the head rail 13. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the upper end 18 of the tensioning wire 12 is passed through a bore 19 which is located in the jacket of the tensioning shaft 15. As soon as this has taken place, the tensioning shaft 15, as shown in FIG. 2, is rotated with the aid of a spanner 20, so that the tensioning wire 12 is on the sheath of the tensioning device shaft 15 coiled. The rotary movement of the pin key 20 is terminated as soon as the tensioning wire 12 has the required tension.

From FIG. 2 it can be seen that the front end 16 is designed as an axle stub and is provided with an external thread 21 which receives a screw nut 22. This is tightened with a wrench 23 as soon as the tensioning of the tensioning wire 12 has ended. The rear end 16 is not offset, but has the same diameter as the tension shaft 15.

Fig. 3).As illustrated in FIG. 1, holders 24 are screwed onto the upper and lower edges of the window 10, which are used to fasten the head rail 13 and the lower rail 14. The head rail 13 is screwed together with the holders 24. The attachment of the lower rail is illustrated in FIG. 3. As can be seen from this, the lower rail 14 is equipped both on its upper side and on its lower side with T-shaped fastening members 25, which come into operative connection with coupling tongues 26, 27 of the holder 24 (cf. FIG. 3).

The tensioning shaft 15 is shown enlarged in FIG. 4. As can be seen from this, this consists of a hollow body into which the stub axle 16 can be pressed. A polygonal receptacle 28 is formed in the head of the stub shaft 16, into which, as illustrated in FIG. 2, the pin key 20 can be inserted.

As already mentioned, the illustrated embodiment is only one example of realizing the invention. This is not limited to this. There are still various modifications and training possible within the scope of the invention. For example, the stub axle 16 could be equipped with a polygonal end, so that the tensioning shaft 15 can be rotated with the aid of a wrench 22. Furthermore, the nut 22 could be replaced by a spring which interacts with a ratchet tooth. Finally, the bore 19 in the casing of the tensioning shaft 15 could also be replaced by a slot.
