Description

The invention relates to a holder for hanging skis.

A large number of possibilities have already become known for storing skis outdoors, on a wall or on a frame. Thus, among other things, a holder for hanging up skis in pairs is known (AT-PS 258 771), which has a three-legged E-shaped or S-shaped holding bracket which is pivotably attached to a horizontal arm. An outer stirrup leg is held rotatably about its longitudinal axis in a bearing sleeve, whereas the other outer and the middle stirrup leg serve to hold the skis. The inherent weight of the skis causes these two stirrup legs to press against two opposite surfaces of the pair of skis, the holding force being intended to be further increased by the inherent weight of the pair of skis. With such holders, it can happen again and again that the skis loosen themselves and fall down in the event of unintentional contact with them, in particular even if the rubber sleeves mounted on the stirrup legs are damaged.

Also to be mentioned is a ski holder (US Pat. No. 4,798,298), which has a support plate with two adjacent, rotatable rollers, the axes of rotation of which are eccentric to the respective central axis of the roller, with an arcuate cutout being milled out in each roller and containing compression springs which have the task of turning the two rollers against each other. These rollers have rubber pads. The skis are clamped between the two rollers. Apart from the fact that this device is constructed in a very complex manner, it is nevertheless not expedient: the rollers lie against one another under the action of the force of the springs mentioned. If skis are now to be inserted into the holder, the two rollers must be rotated so far that a sufficiently wide gap is formed between them, in which the skis can then be inserted. Because each of the both rollers are stored by themselves and spring-loaded, both hands must be used to turn the rollers, and therefore another person is required, who then brings the skis into the open gap between the rollers. This is a very cumbersome manipulation.

A simple handle holder is known from CH-PS 365 501. Here, two L-shaped jaws can be freely pivoted on a support plate around parallel axes, each jaw individually. Such a holder is probably sufficient for simple devices with handles such as brooms or brushes. However, this device is not suitable for skis that have a considerable weight, since each of them can assume an arbitrary position due to the free storage of the two jaws. The handle can therefore be easily pushed either to the right or to the left, so that the angles of attack of the two jaws change, in which case one angle of attack becomes larger, the other smaller. This requires an unstable bracket that is not usable for heavy objects such as skis.

The US-PS 1 609 666 shows and describes a simple handle holder. Here, however, the two jaws are connected to one another via a common tension spring. However, it should be borne in mind that a symmetrical position of the jaws can only be achieved when both jaws are swung up together so far that the handle is inserted and then both jaws are evenly returned to the handle until they rest. If only one jaw was actuated, the second jaw would assume an angular position which would correspond to the position of the connecting straight lines of its pivot point and the point of application of the spring on the other lever, ie both jaws have a very different angular position with respect to the horizontal. Only when the two jaws are completely unloaded do they have the same angular position, namely that they are then on the horizontal connecting straight line of their two swivel axes.

The aim of the invention is, starting from holders of the objective type, to design them so that their handling is simplified. To solve this problem, those measures are proposed that are the subject and content of claim 1. If one jaw is swiveled up, the other jaw automatically follows until the gap between the two jaws has opened so that the skis can be inserted. Since the two jaws are rotatably mounted depending on each other, it is always ensured that the contact areas of the two jaws on the ski or on the pair of skis are directly opposite each other, so that the jaws cannot brace at an angle and possibly release the ski or the pair of skis arbitrarily.

A holder 1 according to the present invention has two clamping jaws 2 and 3, which are opposite one another in mirror image with respect to a vertical plane 4. These two jaws 2 and 3 are rotatably held about horizontal axes 5, 6 which are aligned parallel and at a distance. So that the clamping action of the two clamping jaws 2 and 3 is always coordinated with one another, so that the two clamping jaws 2 and 3 are always pressed against them on a directly opposite area of the skis, that the two jaws 2 and 3 can only rotate depending on each other.

The jaws 2 and 3 are practically rotatable in a plane 7 at a distance from a support plate 8, so that this distance from the support plate ensures that the skis are practically always held approximately in the central area based on their width. The jaws 2, 3 are on bearing sleeves 9, 10 .... attached, which encompass the axes of rotation 5, 6 forming bolts 11, 12. This also ensures secure fastening and mounting of the clamping jaws 2, 3 themselves.

Free-projecting arms 13, 14 are arranged on the ends of the bearing sleeves 9, 10 on the support plate side, the ends of which are in operative connection with one another and thus prescribe a smooth movement of the two clamping jaws 2 and 3. Such a construction provides a simple possibility of rotating the two clamping jaws 2 and 3 as a function of one another. One design variant is to provide the end of one arm 13 with an elongated hole 15 and to arrange a bolt 16 at the end of the other arm 14, which engages in the elongated hole 15 of one arm 13.

Within the scope of the invention, however, it would also be conceivable to provide other design variants in order to achieve a mutually dependent rotatability of the two clamping jaws 2 and 3. For example, it would be possible at the ends of the provide two arms 13 and 14 a toothing, so that the ends of the arms 13 and 14 mesh with each other in the manner of gears.

In order to ensure that only a relatively short area of the mutually facing effective surfaces 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 press against the skis, these surfaces 17, 18 run in a convex arc shape, the distance between the generators forming the arc and the lowest arc section 19 to the uppermost arc section 20 increases steadily. The jaws 2, 3 thus form a type of eccentric, the contact pressure between the two jaws 2, 3 or the distance between the two effective surfaces 17, 18 from each other, the smaller the further the two jaws 2 and 3 in the direction of the arrow 21 downward be pivoted. The mutually facing effective surfaces 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 can also run in a circular arc, but the center of this circular arc then does not coincide with the corresponding axis of rotation 5 or 6 of the clamping jaws 2, 3. There is always a corresponding eccentric function.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-2, a support plate 8 is provided, on which the two clamping jaws 2 and 3 are rotatably fastened. This support plate 8 can then be mounted on a wall or on a frame. It would also be possible, as can be seen in FIG. 3, to arrange a plurality of holders 1, that is to say a plurality of pairs of clamping jaws 2, 3 on a corresponding large support plate 8 or to fasten them directly to a frame plate or a wall. An arrangement on any conceivable substructure is therefore possible. If these holders 1 are successively fastened in height and laterally offset, as can be seen in FIG. 3, significantly more skis can be stored next to one another on a corresponding spatial unit. The insertion of the skis into a holder 1 is very easy to accomplish, since only the side edges of the skis are pressed against the clamping jaws 2, 3, the two clamping jaws 2 and 3 being moved upward in the opposite direction to the arrow 21 by a corresponding movement be pivoted. As soon as there is enough space between the two jaws 2 and 3 so that the skis can be inserted, they automatically slide into this position. It is then practically only necessary to let go of the skis, since the clamping jaws 2, 3 automatically pivot downwards in the direction of the arrow 21 due to their own weight. As soon as the surface of the skis is in contact with the effective surface 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 and thus the weight of the skis is involved, a proper one takes place Brace because the weight of the skis pulls the jaws 2 and 3 further down in the direction of the arrow 21.

For a secure mounting of the skis, that is to say to increase the friction between the effective surfaces 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2 and 3 and the ski, it is expedient if the effective surface 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 are toothed, ribbed, nubbed or roughened is executed. In order to gently press the clamping jaws 2 and 3 onto the ski, it is expedient if a band 22 provided with grooves, ribs, knobs or the like is applied to the effective surface 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3.

The clamping jaws 2 and 3 can be designed in a simple manner both in several parts and in one piece. It is conceivable to manufacture the jaws 2 and 3 together with the bearing sleeves 9, 10 and the arms 13, 14 from a one-piece plastic or metal casting.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4-6 it is provided as an additional design variant that the central plane 23 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 is inclined at an acute angle with respect to the pivoting plane 7 of the clamping jaws 2, 3. Furthermore, the facing, effective surfaces 17, 18 of the jaws 2, 3 have a tortuous course. This construction variant ensures an even easier insertion of the skis between the two clamping jaws and, on the other hand, a secure and firm clamping of the skis between the two effective surfaces 17, 18. It is provided that at least one of the cross jaws 23 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 imaginary generatrix of the effective surface 17, 18 is aligned parallel to the axis of rotation 5 or 6 of the jaws 2, 3. This will then be the area that will usually hold it in place when the ski is clamped. Especially in that area where the skis are finally held between the jaws 2, 3, it is expedient if the holder is provided over the entire width of the effective surface 17, 18 of the jaws 2, 3.

It is therefore also proposed that a section 24 with generators lying parallel to the axis of rotation 5, 6 of the clamping jaws 2, 3 is provided in the upper half in relation to the length of the effective surface 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3.

In the area of the lower half of the effective surface 17, 18 of the clamping jaws 2, 3, an opening 25 which widens towards the front in a wedge shape is formed as a result of the winding course of the surface 17 and 18. As a result, it is practically possible to penetrate the area between the two jaws 2, 3 as soon as the skis are attached, so that an even easier pivoting of the jaws 2, 3 upwards until the ski is finally inserted between the two jaws 2 and 3 .

The clamping jaws 2, 3 here consist of arcuate parts 2, 3, which form the effective surfaces 17 and 18 and corresponding support brackets 28, 29, which establish the connection to the two bearing sleeves 9 and 10. It can be seen purely from these three illustrated embodiments that several design variants are possible. However, it is necessary in all of these versions that the clamping jaws 2 and 3 are designed in mirror image and can be pivoted as a function of one another about axes of rotation arranged at a distance from one another. It is not enough if a fixed stop is provided on one side and only one of the clamping jaws 2 and 3 would be provided, since then the contact pressure would be too dependent on the surface friction of the effective surface 17 or 18 and the fixed stop, whereas the present Invention by rotating in dependence on each other always the optimal contact pressure is achieved on the surface of the ski.

The bolts 11 and 12 forming the axes of rotation 5 and 6 can be fixed in the support plate 8, but it is also possible for these bolts 11, 12 to be formed by the shaft of a screw 30, this screw also being used for fastening the clamping jaws 2, 3 on a support plate 8 or on a corresponding substructure.

The holder according to the invention has been explained for use for hanging skis. The holder is ideal not only for cross-country skis, but also for monoski and snowboards, since the correct holder is independent of the width of the flat part to be hung.
