Claims (7)

  1. Device for remotely operating a piece of equipment by variation of the flow conditions of a fluid, possibly incompressible, in a conduit connected to said equipment, comprising a throttling assembly (20, 21; 53, 57) for the cross-section of fluid passage including a component of the metering-orifice type (20; 57) and a male component of the needle type (21; 53), which two components co-operate to create a drop in pressure when they slide relatively to one another, an operating piston (12) movable in the axial direction of the conduit and subjected on one side to the pressure upstream of said throttling assembly and on the other side to the pressure downstream of said throttling assembly, one of the components of said throttling assembly being mounted on the piston, the other component being fixed with the conduit, characterised in that the component mounted on the piston (12) is slidably mounted, in that it comprises means (24) of returning said sliding component to a predetermined position in relation to said piston, and in that said sliding component creates an initial drop in pressure for a given flow, which pressure-drop can cause said sliding component to slide relatively to the other component, thus creating a second drop in pressure that can displace said piston (12) axially.
  2. Operating device according to Claim 1, characterised in that said piston (12) comprises means (22) of return to a predetermined position in relation to said conduit.
  3. Operating device according to one of the preceding Claims, characterised in that said component slidably mounted on said piston is the component of the metering-orifice type (20).
  4. Operating device according to one of Claims 1 or 2, characterised in that said component slidably mounted on said piston is the male component of the needle type (53).
  5. Operating device according to Claim 4, characterised in that said male component of the needle type is hollow and contains apertures (55) which co-operate with other apertures (56) in the other component of the metering-orifice type (57).
  6. Operating device according to one of Claims 4 or 5, characterised in that said apertures (55, 56 and 59) are formed so as to reduce progressively the cross-section for fluid flow over a portion of the travel of said component of the needle type (53).
  7. Operating device according to one of Claims 4 to 6, characterised in that said apertures are formed so as to create a variation in cross-section when said piston reaches a limit position.
