Description

The invention relates to an electric dry shaving apparatus with a housing, a movably mounted shaving head, in which at least one shaving system with a circular upper knife and a rotating lower knife is provided, the axis of rotation of which is aligned at right angles to a shear plane running parallel to the outer surface of the upper knife, and with a shaving head axis of symmetry intersecting the shear plane at the geometric center of the surface of the shear system (s) provided.

An electric shaver with a shaving head is already known (EP-A 0 176 128), in which two or three rotating shaving systems are arranged. The shaving head according to FIGS. 7 and 8 is rotatably mounted about a fixed shaving head symmetry axis running through the geometric center of the surface of the three shaving systems provided, so that the position of the shaving plane relative to the outer surface of the upper blades of the shaving systems relative to the razor housing is not changed. 9 is mounted between support arms provided on the shaver housing. The pivot axis of the shaving head is provided relatively far below the shear plane of the rotating shear systems. Due to the relatively large distance between the shear plane of the shear systems and the swivel axis, a torque is generated as a result of the contact force of the respective pushing force acting perpendicularly on the shear plane, with which the shear plane is guided over the skin surface, which generates a torque in a sliding direction against the system the skin surface rotates and the shear plane tilts away from the skin surface in the opposite sliding direction. The greater the distance between the Shear plane and the swivel axis, the greater the torque that tilts away, so that a constant contact of the shear plane of the intended shear systems with the skin is not guaranteed.

The invention has for its object to arrange the shaving head of a razor such that the entire shear surface that can be used for shaving comes into contact with the skin surface at normal angles of incidence of its housing to the skin surface and that with changing loads or shear directions of the shaving head on the skin surface tilting of the shaving surface or a part of the usable shearing surface from the skin surface is prevented. The entire usable shaving surface, regardless of the pressure forces acting on it, should follow the skin contour without further ado in order to ensure a perfect shave.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset in that the geometric center of the surface is provided as a stationary pole for the shaving head symmetry axis which can be moved in any direction with the shear plane. This mounting of the shaving head ensures that the shaving surfaces of the shaving system (s) provided are automatically moved in the form of a shaving plane to the skin surface and remain there, irrespective of the pressing forces acting on this shearing plane and changing shifting directions of the shaving plane, within the normal normal setting angle of the shaving head to the skin surface Shaving head over the surface of the skin. A particular advantage of this balanced shaving head bearing is that the respective pressure forces exerted on the handle of the razor are evenly distributed over the effective shaving surfaces after the shaving plane is in contact with the skin surface. Since the pole of the shaving head and thus the intended shaving system (s) in geometric center point of the intended shaving surfaces, the shaving head system can oscillate very easily and thus directly follow the skin surface.

The advantage of the achievement of the object according to the invention is also achieved when a slight displacement and / or deformation of the shear plane with respect to the stationary pole occurs due to an elastic and / or tiltable mounting of the shear system or systems. Such temporary geometric deviations are therefore within the scope of the main claim.

According to one advantage of the invention, the shear plane and the shaving head axis of symmetry can be moved about three spatial axes running through the pole and oriented at right angles to one another.

The common movement of the shaving plane and the shaving head symmetry axis can expediently be limited by means of stops provided on the shaving head and on the housing.

Der gemeinsame Mittelpunkt der Radien der Kugelschale und der Lagerschale liegt im Pol.In an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the housing of the shaving head is at least partially designed as a spherical shell, which is pivotably mounted in a bearing shell designed in the form of a spherical cap in the housing of the shaving apparatus. The common center of the radii of the spherical shell and the bearing shell lies in the pole.

Further advantageous forms of training of the invention emerge from the characteristics of subclaims 6 to 9.

If you want to limit the pivoting movement of the shaving head around all three spatial axes x, y and z to a movement only around the two spatial axes x and y, form-fitting guides are provided in the region of the spherical shell of the shaving head and the bearing shell of the housing in accordance with another advantageous embodiment of the invention , in such an orientation that movement around the vertical spatial axis Z is blocked. For this purpose, an advantageous further development of the invention provides a separate coupling part which engages both in the guides of the spherical shell and in the bearing shell. The coupling part is preferably provided with ribs and blocks which intersect at right angles, the coupling part being mountable on the concave side of the spherical shell and, with its blocks penetrating correspondingly dimensioned recesses in the spherical shell, engaging in guides of the bearing shell.

If the movement of the shaving head is further restricted by only one spatial axis x or y, an expedient development of the invention provides only a form-fitting guidance between the shaving head and the housing.

The shaving systems 5 each consist of a circular upper knife 6 and associated rotating lower knives 7, the axes of rotation 8 of which are aligned at right angles to the shear plane E formed by the outer surfaces 9 of the upper knives 6. The fixed pole 3 is in the embodiment 1 at the height of the shear plane E, the exact position in the shear plane E being determined by the geometric center of the surface of the shear systems 5 provided, as is explained in more detail under FIG. 2. The shaving head symmetry axis 10 intersecting the shear plane E at right angles runs through the pole 3 and, together with the shear plane E, performs all pivoting movements of the shaving head 4 around the stationary pole 3.

Der gemeinsame Mittelpunkt des Radius R₁ der Kugelschale 12 sowie des Radius R₂ der Lagerschale 13 liegt im Pol 3.This swiveling or tumbling movement of the shaving head 4 around the stationary or stationary pole 3 can also be described as a swiveling movement about three spatial axes x, y, z which are directed at right angles to one another and pass through this pole 3, with the shaving head 4 in the central position , ie in the non-swung-out position, the spatial axes x and y lie in the shear plane E and the spatial axis z coincides with the shaving head axis of symmetry 10; the shaving head 4 therefore has three degrees of freedom. The housing 11 of the shaving head 4 is at least partially designed, namely on the housing side opposite the outer surface 9, as a spherical shell 12 which is movably supported in any direction in a bearing shell 13 provided in the housing 2 and in the form of a spherical cap. The common center of the radius R₁ of the spherical shell 12 and the radius R₂ of the bearing shell 13 is in the pole 3rd

In the housing 11, an electric motor 15 is fastened to a holder 14, which is coupled via a gear 16 to the lower knives 7 of the shear systems 5 provided, in order to set them into a rotational movement after the motor has been started up. The motor 15, which is arranged centrally in the shaving head 4 in relation to the shaving head axis of symmetry 10, protrudes from the housing 11 and into the housing 2 through an opening 17 provided centrally to the center of the spherical cap-shaped bearing shell 13. The engine is surrounded by a plate-shaped slide bearing part 18, which is held on the convex wall 19 of the bearing shell 13 facing the interior of the housing 2 by means of a sleeve 20 which can be screwed onto the motor 15 in a slidable manner.

The shaving head 4 is thus slidably attached to the housing 2 via the motor 15, the slide bearing part 18 and the bearing part 13. The opening diameter of the opening 17 and thus of the shaving head 4 is larger than the outside diameter of the motor 15. The edge of the opening 17 serves as a stop 21 to limit the freedom of movement of the motor 15 within the opening 17. The size of the opening 17 is such that, starting from the central position of the shaving head 4, in which the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 through both the center of the Opening 17 as well as through the pole 3, the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 together with the shear plane E together with an angular movement α around the stationary pole 3 in any direction, ie can perform a wobble movement up to approx. 20 ° around the pole 3, as is indicated by the circle K around the spatial axis Z.

In order to prevent dirt particles, in particular hair dust, from penetrating into the interior of the housing 2, a seal 22 is provided between the spherical shell 12 and the bearing shell 13, preferably in the region of the outer edge thereof, which is made of plastic or a ceramic material and additionally the bearing function of the bearing shell 13 can also take over the function as a seal. Furthermore, the friction between the two components and the choice of the pressing force by means of the sleeve 20, the smoothness and damping of movement of the movable shaving head 4 can be adjusted by selecting the suitable materials of the spherical shell 12 or the seal 22.

From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the three shear systems 5 are arranged on the outer surface 9 of the shaving head 4 in such a way that the three drive axes 8 lie in the corners of an isosceles triangle whose center of area is identical to the stationary pole 3 as the geometric center of the area. Through its center or pole 3, the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 perpendicular to the shear plane E and, when the shaving head 4 is in the center position, the spatial axis z. Furthermore, the spatial axes x and y lying in the shear plane E are entered.

The pole 3 is at the same time the center of the surface of the shaving head 4.3, and through it - perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, which also represents the shaving plane E - the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 and the spatial axis z. The spatial axes x and y lie in the shear plane E and go through the pole 3; the axis of rotation 8 of the shear system 5 also passes through it.

Nach Fig. 4 hat der Scherkopf 4.4 zwei Schersysteme 5; auf der Mitte der Verbindungslinie zwischen den Rotationsachsen 8 und damit im Flächenmittelpunkt liegt der Pol 3, durch den sowohl die Scherkopfsymmetrieachse 10 und die Raumachse z senkrecht zur Zeichenebene = Scherebene E geht als auch die in dieser Ebene liegenden Raumachsen x und y.4 the shaving head 4.4 has two shaving systems 5; on the middle of the connecting line between the axes of rotation 8 and thus in the center of the surface lies the pole 3 through which both the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 and the spatial axis z go perpendicular to the plane of the drawing = shear plane E and the spatial axes x and y lying in this plane.

The center of the area lies at the intersection of the diagonals of the square, which here are identical to the spatial axes x - y, and is at the same time the pole 3 through which the spatial axis z and the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 go - perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.

Nach Fig. 6 hat der Scherkopf 4.6 ebenfalls vier Schersysteme 5, deren Rotationsachsen 8 in den Ecken eines Quadrates angeordnet sind, in dessen Flächenmittelpunkt in vorstehend beschriebener Weise der Pol 3, die Scherkopfsymmetrieachse 10 und die vertikale Raumachse z liegen, jedoch in der Weise, daß die durch den Pol 3 gehenden Raumachsen x und y parallel zu den Seiten des Quadrates gerichtet sind.6, the shaving head 4.6 also has four shaving systems 5, the axes of rotation 8 of which are arranged in the corners of a square, in the center of whose surface the pole 3, the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 and the vertical spatial axis z lie, but in the manner that the spatial axes x and y going through the pole 3 are directed parallel to the sides of the square.

The electric dry shaving apparatus 1.7 according to FIG. 7 is of a similar construction to that shown in FIG. 1; it has a housing 2.7 serving as a handle, a shaving head 4.7 provided with the rotating shaving systems 5 and an electric motor 15.7 mounted therein. The shear plane E is also defined here as the outer surface 9 of the shear systems 5. The shaving head axis of symmetry 10 penetrates the shear plane E in the stationary pole 3, through which the spatial axes x and y lying in the shear plane E go even when the shaving head 4.7 is in the middle (FIG. 9 ). The shaving head 4.7 is also formed on its side opposite the shear plane E in the manner of a spherical shell 12.7, which, as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, corresponds to a spherical cap-like bearing shell 13.7 of the housing 2.7. A seal 22.7 is also attached between the two shells 12.7 and 13.7. The common center of both radii R₁ and R₂ of the shells 12.7 and 13.7 is the pole 3. To determine the pivoting movement of the shaving head 4.7, only about the spatial axes x and y, ie excluding a pivoting movement about the vertical axis Z or shaving head axis of symmetry 10, are between the Shells 12.7 and 13.7 acting, form-fitting guides are provided, which are described below in connection with Figures 8, 9 and 10. The centerpiece of these guides is a coupling part 23, which has on its longitudinal sides 24 two parallel ribs 25 and 26, on the center of which, transversely to this, are placed two blocks 27 and 28 which project outwards and which act as Guide elements transverse to the guide direction of the ribs 25 and 26 are used. In the middle of the coupling part 23 there is a cutout 29 for the motor 15.7, which is dimensioned such that it closely encloses the motor with the longitudinal sides 24, ie parallel to the ribs 25 and 26, while between the transverse sides 30, ie parallel to the blocks 27 and 28 and the corresponding dimensions of the motor 15.7 a game is provided which allows a relative movement of the motor 15.7 relative to the coupling part 23 within the selected pivoting movement of the shaving head 4.7. In the spherical shell 12.7 of the shaving head 4.7, a central recess 31 with the dimensions of the motor cross section (see FIG. 8) and slot-like recesses 32, 33 for the ribs 25, 26 and recesses 34, 35 for the blocks 27, 28 are provided. FIG. 9 shows these relationships in a top view with a view of the concave side of the spherical shell 12.7 when the coupling part 23 is inserted in a schematic representation. Correspondingly, in the bearing shell 13.7 of the housing 2.7 there is a central recess 36 for the motor 15.7, which has such an excess compared to its cross-sectional dimensions that the motor 15.7 can move freely in the direction of the x- and y-space axes when the shaving head is pivoted . This recess 36 is adjoined on both sides - as shown in FIG. 9 - in the middle of its longitudinal edges by recesses 37 and 38 (FIG. 8) which are made transversely to the direction of the ribs 25 and 26. The blocks 27, 28 engage in these recesses 37 and 38 for the purpose of guiding the pivoting movement of the shaving head 4.7 about the y-spatial axis. Its length is determined according to the chosen dimension of the swing movement. For assembly, the coupling part 23 is pushed onto the motor 15.7 before it is fastened in the shaving head 4.7 until the ribs 25, 26 engage in their recesses serving as guides and the blocks 27, 28 pass through the recesses 34, 35 to engage in them assigned, serving as a guide recesses 37, 38 come to rest in the bearing shell 13.7. Ver tension of the shaving head 4.7 with the bearing shell 13.7 of the housing 2.7 also serves here a sleeve 39 which can be screwed onto the motor 15.7 and presses against the convex side of the bearing shell 13.7 via a slide bearing part 40. The narrow sides of the slot-like recesses serve as stops to limit the pivoting movements of the shaving head.

In the exemplary embodiment of a dry shaving apparatus shown in FIG. 11, a pivoting movement is provided only about a spatial axis passing through the pole 3, the x-axis. The movements around the y and z spatial axes are blocked. The structural design otherwise corresponds to the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1. The pole 3 lies at the point of intersection of the shaving head axis of symmetry 10 with the shear plane E, which is determined by the surface of the shear systems 5. The electric motor 15 for driving the shaving systems 5 is fastened in the shaving head 4 and penetrates the underside of the shaving head 4, which is designed as a spherical shell 12, in the recess 41 and the spherical cap-shaped bearing shell 13 of the housing 2 in the recess 42; this is widened in the pivoting direction of the shaving head 4 and thus of the motor 15 by such an amount compared to the cross-sectional dimensions of the motor 15 that the motor 15 can move freely in this direction. On the convex side of the spherical shell 12 there are two ribs 43 on both sides of the cutout 41 for the motor 15 - only one rib 43 can be seen in FIG. 11 - which are arranged in two guide slots 44 which are arranged accordingly and are extended by the necessary play for the shaving head 4 intervention. Here, too, the motor 15 is surrounded by a plate-like slide bearing part 18, which is held in a slidable contact with the convex side of the bearing shell 13 by a sleeve 20 which can be screwed onto the motor 15. As in Fig. 1 a seal 22 is provided between the shaving head 4 and the housing 2. The radii R₁ of the spherical shell 12 and R₂ of the bearing shell 13 have their common starting point in pole 3.

FIG. 12 shows a different, constructive structure of an electrically driven dry shaving apparatus 45. Its housing 46 has at its upper end two angled cheeks 47 and 48, between which the shaving head 49 is pivotably mounted about a horizontal axis 50. The shaving systems 5 are arranged in relation to the shaving head in the manner shown in FIG. 4, ie the axis 50 is identical to the spatial axis x and passes through the pole 3 lying between the two shaving systems 5, which lies practically in the shear plane E. The drive motor 51 is fastened in the shaving head 49 to a drive plate 52; the gear connection to the shear systems is not shown for the sake of clarity. To accommodate the motor 51, the housing of the shaving head 49 is extended downward and the apparatus housing 46 is recessed accordingly. If you want to avoid this design, it makes sense to install the motor firmly in the housing 46 and to drive the shaving systems 5 via a suitable, articulated connection, for example a flexible shaft, a shaft with cardan joints or bevel gear drives, as is known per se.
