Abstract

The invention relates to a screw press (1) with a screw (3) and a screw nut (5), which are accommodated in a press frame (18), with a flywheel (7) running uninterruptedly in the same direction of rotation, with a clutch (19) actuable by a pressure medium, which is arranged between the flywheel (7) and the screw (3) and establishes a connection between the flywheel (7) and the screw (3) only during the downward stroke and partially during the working stroke, and with a hydraulic lifting device (7) for returning the ram (2), a plurality of oil outlet holes being formed in the region of flanks of the screw nut (5) for the purpose of lubrication. To improve the mounting conditions, the invention proposes that the oil outlet holes should be arranged in the form of bearing pockets (8) on the bearing flanks (11) of the screw nut (5), in order to form a hydrostatic bearing, and that the bearing force of the hydrostatic bearing should be set to a smaller force than that which corresponds to the maximum force of the screw press (1). <IMAGE>
