Abstract

A suitcase with shells having a body (1) and a lid (2) is constructed in such a way that the hinge line (11) of the lid, by means of which the latter is linked to the body (1), lies in one broad side (3) of the body. By this means, it is possible to rest the suitcase on the other broad side with minimum space requirement when packing and unpacking the suitcase. Die Bodenschmalseite 7 ist zum einfacheren Überfahren von Hindernissen nach innen eingewölbt (Fig. 2). Der Koffer kann mit Rollen 8 versehen sein, die beispielsweise gemäß EP-A-0 106 906 beschrieben ausgebildet und angeordnet sind, d.h. eine vordere Lenkrolle und zwei hintere umlenkbare Rollen umfassen. Bei dem gezeigten Ausführungsbeispiel sind vier umlenkbare Rollen 8 vorgesehen. Denkbar ist auch eine Ausführung mit zwei Rollen an einem Kofferende oder ganz ohne Rollen. An der vorderen Schmalseite der Körper befindet sich eine herausziehbare Zuglasche 9 zum Schleppen des Koffers von Hand.
