Description

The invention relates to a liquid ring pump with a pump wheel rotatably mounted in its pump housing according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a liquid ring pump is known from EP-PS 0 138 182. In the case of liquid ring pumps, a very disturbing, roaring noise occurs in particular at medium suction pressures, which penetrates to the outside via the pressure or outlet connection. This noise occurs at the outlet openings of the control disc, through which the gas enclosed and compressed in the blade cells of the pump wheel is pushed out rhythmically.

A rotary piston compressor is known from US-A-4 636 154. So that there is no oil hammer between the outlet valve closing the outlet valve and the accumulated lubricating oil in such a compressor due to the lubricating oil introduced to lubricate the rolling piston and usually collects in the muffler connected to the outlet opening of the compressor, there is a drain opening in a housing wall of the muffler the oil provided. In order to guide the oil from the outlet opening to the corresponding housing wall, an axial wall projection having an oblique wall profile is provided following the outlet opening. From this wall protrusion, the oil reaches the housing wall and then exits the silencer via the outlet opening.

The invention has for its object to design a liquid ring pump of the generic type so that the outward noise is significantly reduced.

The object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. The desired deflection of the operating fluid is achieved by the guide surfaces extending axially into the pressure chamber. This deflection of the operating fluid creates a finely distributed fluid curtain, which has a very sound-absorbing effect. This ensures that the pumped gas does not form a passage for the noise that is not satisfied with a sufficient liquid curtain.

Undesired throttling losses of the compressed gas are kept small by deflecting the gas as little as possible.

This is achieved in that the guide surface only partially covers the opening of the pressure port in the axial direction or that when several guide surfaces are arranged, these do not overlap in the axial direction, so that the most straight possible path to the opening of the pressure port for the gas particles remains.

It is advantageous in terms of production technology if one guide surface is integrally formed on the wall of the housing cover and the further guide surface is attached to the housing cover as a separate component. This avoids undercuts, which increase the cost of manufacturing the housing cover using the casting process. A simple attachment of the further guide surface results from the insertion of this strip-shaped guide surface into holding slots which extend in the axial direction on the housing cover. This additional guide surface is clamped in the holding slots in that it consists of an elastic plastic strip, the length of which is slightly greater than the straight line distance between the base surfaces of the holding slots. The plastic strip must be arched somewhat as a result of this length dimension when it is inserted into the holding slots, so that it is pressed against the base surfaces of the holding slots by the resulting clamping force and is thus clamped in these.

FIG 1
eine Flüssigkeitsringpumpe im Teillängsschnitt,
FIG 2
The subject of the application is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows:
FIG. 1
a liquid ring pump in partial longitudinal section,
FIG 2
a plan view of the side facing the control disc of the housing cover of the liquid ring pump.

Auf der einen Stirnseite des Pumpengehäuses 1 ist eine Steuerscheibe 5 zwischen dem Pumpengehäuse 1 und einem das Pumpengehäuse 1 auf dieser Seite verschließenden Gehäusedeckel 6 angeordnet.1 designates the pump housing of a liquid ring pump in which a pump wheel 3 provided with blades 2 is rotatably mounted and can be driven via a shaft stub 4 protruding from the pump housing 1. On one end of the pump housing 1, a control disk 5 is arranged between the pump housing 1 and a housing cover 6 which closes the pump housing 1 on this side.

A suction and a pressure nozzle 7 and 8 are integrally formed on the housing cover 6. The suction nozzle 7 opens into a suction chamber 9 which is delimited by the housing cover 6 and the control disk 5. The opening 10 of the pressure nozzle 8 is connected to a pressure chamber 11 which is likewise delimited by the housing cover 6 and the control disk 5. The suction chamber 9 and the pressure chamber 11 are delimited in terms of pressure from one another by a center web 12 which is integrally formed on the housing cover 6 and, if appropriate, with the interposition of a sealing element on the control disk 5.

As is known, the control disk 5 has at least one inlet and one outlet opening. In FIG. 2, the inlet opening 13 connected to the suction chamber 9 is shown in broken lines. The outlet opening, which is subdivided into a plurality of outlet bores 14 and an outlet slot 15 and is connected to the pressure chamber 11, is also shown in dashed lines in the region of the pressure chamber 11. The outlet bores 14 can be closed in a known manner by valves or covered by valve tongues.

A guide surface 16 extending in the axial direction is formed on the inside of the wall 6a of the housing cover 6. A further guide surface 17 is designed as a separate component (for example elastic plastic strip) and is provided in the holding slots 19 and 20 provided on the central web 12 and on a holding web 18 which projects beyond a guide surface 16 in the axial direction plugged in. The further guide surface 17 is expediently designed as an elastic plastic strip and its axial length is somewhat larger than the straight-line distance between the base surfaces of the two holding slots 19 and 20 be bent. The resulting clamping force presses the side edges of the plastic strip against the bases of the holding slots 19 and 20, so that the plastic strip is held in its position by clamping action without further fasteners.

During the operation of the liquid ring pump, together with the gas compressed in the blade cells, part of the operating liquid is also expelled through the outlet bores 14 and the outlet slot 15. This gas-liquid mixture flows through the pressure chamber 11 to the opening 10 of the pressure port 8. The mixture is first deflected on the further guide surface 17, which is located radially further inward than the guide surface 16 formed on the housing cover 6. Because of their greater inertia compared to the gas particles, the liquid particles maintain their axially directed deflection direction until they are redirected in the radial direction on the wall 6a of the housing cover 6 and then again in the axial direction by the guide surface 16 and finally via the mouth opening 10 in the Arrive pressure port 8. The path of the liquid particles is shown by a dashed arrow 21.

The gas particles are deflected less because of their lower mass and thus less inertia and, since the two guide surfaces 16 and 17 do not overlap in the axial direction, can flow relatively straight past the guide surfaces 16 and 17 to the mouth opening 10. Your path is shown by a solid arrow 22.

As can be seen from this illustration, the liquid particles cross the path of the gas particles. Thus, a damping layer between the outlet bores 14 and the outlet slot 15 of the control disk 5 and the mouth opening 10 of the pressure port 8 is generated by the veil consisting of the liquid particles, which dampens the noise generated at the outlet bores 14 and the outlet slot 15 strongly. The damping measures require only minimal effort. Since the gas particles are deflected only slightly, there are no significant pressure losses.
