Claims (6)

1. Appareil de coulée continue de métaux et en particulier d'acier, convenant pour des coulées verticales, cintrées ou quasi horizontales, comprenant en association avec un moule principale (10) à lingot, un moule aval (12) positionné immédiatement en aval du moule principal (10) à lingot et consistant en un ensemble d'éléments indépendants, le moule aval (12) étant refroidi à l'eau, l'équipement permettant la formation de lingots de sections ronde, ovale, carrée ou similaire, dans lequel le moule aval (12) est constitué d'un ensemble d'éléments de coquille (15) indépendants et mobiles pouvant s'aligner les uns sur les autres et possédant des faces (17) qui ne sont pas parallèles à la direction de glissement du métal, les faces (17) de chaque élément de coquille (15) délimitant en association avec les faces (17) de l'élément de coquille (15) voisin des interstices (18) qui se développent dans une direction non parallèle à l'axe et à la surface du lingot en formation, ou suivant une spirale par rapport à cet axe et cette surface.
2. Equipement selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les faces (17) des éléments de coquille (15) sont obliques, rectilignes, cintrées ou sinusoïdales, ou suivent une ligne discontinue ou brisée.
3. Equipement selon les revendications 1 et 2, dans lequel les éléments de coquille (15) du moule aval (12) sont reliés à des actuateurs pneumatiques (13) alimentés en série et commandés à distance, pour amener ensemble et écarter les éléments de coquille (15) les uns par rapport aux autres, et pour réguler les poussées latérales de confinement exercées sur le lingot en formation.

Equipement selon la revendication 3, dans lequel chaque élément de coquille (15) est relié à un actuateur pneumatique (13) par l'intermédiaire d'un levier basculant intermédiaire (19), et est équipé de manière à pouvoir osciller sur le levier (19), le levier (19) et l'actuateur pneumatique (13) étant fixés à une plaque de support (11) fixée sur le moule principal (10) à lingot, les oscillations de l'élément de coquille (15) étant limitées par des butées (24).
5. Equipement selon les revendications 3 et 4, dans lequel chaque actuateur pneumatique (13) est constitué d'un piston (25) pouvant fonctionner dans un cylindre (26), le piston (25) comprenant un alésage calibré (27) destiné au passage régulé de l'air depuis une chambre sous pression vers une chambre qui n'est pas sous pression, située dans le cylindre (26), en vue du remplacement de l'air et du refroidissement du cylindre (26).
6. Equipement de coulée continue de métaux et en particulier d'acier, comprenant en association avec un moule principal (10) à lingot, un moule aval (12) placé immédiatement en aval du moule principal (10) à lingot et refroidi à l'eau, cet équipement permettant la formation de lingots de sections rondes, ovales, carrées ou similaires, dans lequel le moule aval (12) est constitué d'un ensemble d'éléments (15) indépendants et contigus aptes à s'aligner les uns sur les autres et doté de faces (17) qui ne sont pas parallèles à la direction de glissement du métal, de manière à définir entre eux des fentes 18 qui ne se développent pas parallèlement à l'axe et à la surface du lingot en formation mais en spirale autour de cet axe et de cette surface, les éléments contigus (15) aptes à s'aligner les uns sur les autres étant reliés à des actuateurs pneumatiques (13) alimentés en série et commandés à distance pour rassembler et écarter les éléments (15) les uns par rapport aux autres et pour réguler les poussées latérales de confinement exercées sur le lingot en formation, les éléments (15) étant reliés directement ou indirectement à leurs actuateurs pneumatiques (13) respectifs.
