Dies bedingt, daß die Brennkammer beachtliche Abmessungen und ein sehr hohes Gewicht aufweist. Bei der üblichen Anordnung der Brennkammer auf dem Füllwagen ergibt sich für diesen ein erheblich größeres Gewicht, das von der Ofendecke getragen verden muß, sowie eine größere Länge. Diese Möglichkeit bietet sich bei Koksofenbatterien an, bei denen ursprünglich das überleiten der Füllgase aus der jeweils zu beschickenden Ofenkammer in eine Nachbarkammer vorgesehen war, wozu also jede Ofenkammer im koksseitigen Bereich der Ofendecke mit einem Anschlußstutzen für das überleitrohr ausgerüstet ist.
