Arrangement for plant tutor, the arrangement of the elements of said arrangement can in particular be easily varied according to the requirements and desires of the user. Said arrangement comprises support elements (3) which, at points located at a certain distance from each other, are provided with assembly devices (4, 5) and, as the case may be, a number of fasteners (6, 7) designed to support insect traps (8). The support elements (3) can be connected to each other by means of said assembly devices (4, 5), in order to obtain the desired plant stake.

Description

Arrangement for a plant support
The present invention relates to an arrangement for a plant support.
The principal object of the present invention is, amongst other things, to make available a plant support which is capable of being varied easily according to one's requirements and wishes.
Said object is achieved by means of an arrangement in accordance with the present invention, which is characterized essentially in that supporting elements which, at points situated at a certain distance from one another, exhibit coupling devices and, as appropriate, a number of attachments so adapted as to hold insect traps, are capable of being connected together by means of the coupling devices in question in order to produce the intended plant support.
The invention is described below as a preferred illustrative embodiment, in conjunction with which reference is made to the drawings, in which:
Fig. 1 shows the invention applied to a pot plant; Fig. 2 shows two supporting elements capable of being connected together to produce a plant support presented as a partially sectioned view;
Fig. 3 shows a detailed perspective view of a supporting element fitted with an insect trap; and Figs. 4A— C show the sequence for the application of an insect trap to a supporting element.
A plant support 1, which is intended to be capable of functioning as a support for a pot plant 2, for instance, as illustrated by way of example in Fig. 1, is formed from a number of supporting elements 3, 3^, 3n capable of being connected to one another to a desired height and capable of being detached from one another. Said supporting elements 3, 3^, 3n exhibit coupling devices 4,5 at points situated at a certain distance from one another which permit the simple and effective connection of the supporting elements to one another.
Supporting elements 3, 3^, 3n can have a form similar to uprights with said coupling devices 4, 5 arranged at the ends 3A, 3B of each element, in conjunction with which coupling devices 4, 5 can be formed by a recess 4 or a pin 5. At least one, but preferably both the coupling devices 4, 5 making up a pair appropriately exhibit a conical part 4A, 5A with a gradient angle X which is at least approximately 4°.
The illustrated upright form and the illustrated design of the coupling devices 4, 5 for the supporting elements 3, 3^, 3n permit a large number of supporting elements to be connected to one another simply by pushing the coupling devices 4, 5 together so that they are, so to speak, sucked securely into one another. The resulting plant support 1 is thus capable of being varied easily, depending on whether the plant 2 grows or is cut back, in order to suit the plant 2. The material used for the plant support 2 is preferably a plastics material, which lends itself to efficient and economical mass production.
In this particular case said supporting elements 3, 3^, 3π exhibit a number of attachments 6, 7, which are so adapted as to be capable of holding insect traps 8 preferably of a specific type. The insect trap attachments 6, 7 in question are appropriately positioned between said coupling devices 4, 5, viewed in the longitudinal sense of the supporting element, and are so arranged as to act in directions 9 and 10 facing away from one another. The attachments 6, 7 may, for instance, be in the form of clips, each of which consists of two tongues 6A, 6B; 7A, 7B sprung relative to one another.
The insect traps 8, which lend themselves ideally to being connected to said attachments 6, 7, are leaf—shaped traps, as shown by way of example in Figs. 4A-4C. These insect traps 8 are provided with an insect adhesive 11 over the surface 8A of at least one side, suitably with the exception of a narrow strip 12, 13 at each end 8B, 8C of the leaf. Said preferably transparent insect—trapping leaf 8, which may be provided before use with a removable protective paper 14 which covers the insect adhesive 11, is intended to be bent into the form of a curve from the transport shape I shown in Fig. 4A, via a C—shaped intermediate shape II, into the insect trap shape III shown in Fig. 4C, which shape III is exhibited by the insect traps 8 in question in the position in which they are connected together with the respective attachments 6, 7, through both said parts 12, 13 being held securely between the securing tongues 6A, 6B; 7A, 7B.
Once the insect trap 8 is full of insects 15 stuck to the adhesive, the used insect trap 8 is easily replaced by a new one. The invention is not restricted to the illustrative embodiment described above and shown in the drawings, but may be varied within the scope of the Patent Claims without departing from the idea of invention.
