Description

The present invention relates to the field of leisure, more particularly leisure accessories, and relates to a support for playing cards for the elderly or disabled or for children.

Currently, certain card games require the distribution of a large number of cards to each player, which sometimes results, in particular for people with small hands or gripping difficulties, due to their age or a handicap, problems with distributing cards in the hand, accessing these cards and removing cards during the game.

Indeed, in the presence of a large number of cards, their fan arrangement, so that they are all visible, is relatively delicate, or even impossible, for children or people with stiffness of the joints of the hand and the withdrawal of 'a card can then lead to an imbalance of their fragile holding in the hand and a dispersion of the cards, so that the game can be distorted.

The present invention aims to overcome these drawbacks.

The support for playing cards for the elderly, disabled or for children according to the invention, shown by way of example in the appended drawing, is characterized in that it is produced in the form of a rail 1 having at its part before, a groove 2 for inserting the cards 3, the rear part of which is connected to an inclined bearing face 4 for the cards 3, this face being itself connected to a support leg 5 on the table.

The support according to the invention can be made of any material, by forming sheet materials, by machining blocks of material or by molding, as well as in any size, color and finish.

Thus, it can have a very thin cross section, for example in the case of the forming of a sheet of sheet metal or in the case of a molding.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the front edge of the groove 2 is advantageously provided with a protective bead 6. Such a bead 6 makes it possible, on the one hand, to avoid any risk of injury to the user in the event collision with said edge, and, on the other hand, degradation of the cards also following collisions with said edge.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the support leg 5 on the table is provided with a gripping means such as, for example, a recess 7 forming a handle. This gripping means allows better handling of the support during the preparation of a game, in particular for people with a hand handicap.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, not shown in the accompanying drawing, the support can advantageously be produced in a foldable and / or extendable form. Thus, the support according to the invention can be stored in a very small volume, so that it is easily transportable.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to make a support for playing cards allowing the practice of all card games to people with gripping difficulties, namely disabled people, elderly people with joint stiffness and children whose hand size does not allow them to maintain a relatively high number of cards.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown in the accompanying drawing. Modifications remain possible, in particular from the point of view of the constitution of the various elements or by substitution of technical equivalents, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the invention.
