Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Bildung von Textilmustern mit Effektgarnen auf einem Wiedergabegerät. Der Musterdesigner kann dabei verschiedene Strick- oder Webarten sowie verschiedene Garnfarben auswählen und durch eine entsprechende Software auf einem Bildschirm oder mit einem Drucker darstellen lassen. Es ist dabei möglich, in einer 1:1-Darstellung den optischen und ästhetischen Eindruck eines Textilmusters zu beurteilen und ggf., beispielsweise durch Variation von Farben, Garnstärken oder Web- bzw.
