Description

The invention relates to a cylindrical step selector for step transformers according to the preamble of claim 1. In order to achieve a secure and stable mounting of the contact ring in these known step selectors, the rigid connecting lines are additionally supported in several levels by comb-like scaffolding parts (AT-PS 199 759). This support of the connecting lines therefore requires special construction parts that lie outside the actual tap selector and thus also take up additional space. Nevertheless, mounting the rigid connection cables can result in tension on the contact ring, especially since considerable lever lengths can occur due to the size of the step selector. As a result, the smooth movement of the rotary motion of the selector shaft can be impaired.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide an additional securing of the position of the contact ring in the step selector mentioned at the outset, so that tilting or tensioning of the contact ring on the selector shaft can be practically ruled out. This object is achieved by the means specified in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

The advantage achieved by the invention lies in the additional securing of the position of the contact ring, which takes place completely independently of the connecting line and also does not take up any additional space. Furthermore, the contact ring is fixed practically on the supporting frame of the step selector, that is to say on the insulating cylinder and thus also independently of the selector shaft of the step selector. The contact ring is supported exclusively via parts made of insulating material, and these parts are locked together by cams or corresponding recesses.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and will be described in more detail below. The drawing shows a section of the area of a contact level of the tap changer. Of course, the tap selector can have several of these contact levels. As can be seen, the step selector has a load-bearing insulating cylinder 1, which carries the fixed step contacts 2 of the contact planes. It also has a tubular switching shaft 3 arranged in the center of the insulating material cylinder 1, which can be rotated step by step in the usual way. For each contact level, a contact ring 4 is provided, which is arranged around the selector shaft 3 and which is held by means of the connecting line 5. A contact bridge 6, which constantly grinds on the contact ring 4, serves to connect the contact ring 4 to the individual fixed step contacts 2. The contact bridge 6 is held and guided by a support arm 7 seated on the control shaft 3. The contact ring 4 is in turn seated on an insulating ring 8 and is locked to the latter via cams 9. The insulating ring 8 is pushed over the selector shaft 3 and is supported on the insulating cylinder 1 with three struts 10 arranged in a star shape. For this purpose, each strut 10 is provided with a cam 11 which engages in a corresponding recess in the insulating cylinder. This results in a stable position of the insulating ring 8, which is ultimately based on the supporting structure of the step selector, namely the insulating cylinder 1. The insulating ring 8 can thus also serve as a guide or as a bearing for the selector shaft 3. Impairment of its position by connecting the connecting line 5 is practically impossible.
