Description

The invention relates to a device for pulling out a brake screen according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a device is described in DE-PS 36 08 107. After the submunition has been ejected from a carrier projectile, the pull-out line provided between the two submunitions, with which the brake parachute of the front submunition is intended to be opened, tears near it. The pull line remains on the rear submunition. This can lead to difficulties, since the pull-out line can then become tangled with a rotating parachute or the braking parachute of the rear submunition.

The object of the invention is to propose a device of the type mentioned, in which an impairment of the rear submunition by the pull-out line is avoided.

The above object is achieved according to the characterizing features of claim 1.

When the submunitions move away from each other, the additional line opens the grinding knot of the pull-out line, with which it is connected to the rear submunition. The pull-out line and the other line remain on the open brake parachute of the front submunition. You cannot affect it. In any case, it is avoided that the pull-out line or the other line remains on the rear submunition.

It is also favorable that this device is simple both in terms of its structure and its assembly.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pull-out line is designed like a tube and the further line runs as an inner line through the pull-out line, the inner line being led out of the pull-out line in the region of the grinding knot. The inner line is therefore easy to lead through the stuff sack to the brake parachute. It also cannot get tangled with the pull-out line.

Further advantageous refinements of the invention result from the following description of an exemplary embodiment. The drawing shows:
  • FIG. 1 shows three successive stages in the separation of a submunition pair,
  • Figure 2, the pull-out line and the other line in the area of the front submunition and
  • Figure 3, the pull-out line and the other line in the area of the rear submunition.

In a carrier projectile, not shown, a rear submunition (1) and a front submunition (2) are housed close together. A parachute cover (3) of the rear submunition (1) covers the brake parachute (5) of the front submunition (2) stowed in a stuff sack (4). In the parachute cover (3) there is also a pull-out line (6) which is attached to the pack sack (4) on the one hand and is connected to the parachute cover (3) of the rear submunition (1) on the other hand. The inner line (7) is attached to the cap (8) of the brake screen (5).

The submunitions (1,2) are ejected from the carrier projectile. Their direction of flight is designated by F in FIG. When ejecting, a brake screen (9) of the rear submunition (1) opens. As a result, the rear submunition (1) is braked in relation to the front submunition (2), so that the pull-out line (6) tensions. This state is shown in FIG. 1a, with FIGS. 2 and 3 being enlarged partial representations.

Die Ausziehleine(6) ist schlauchförmig gestaltet. In ihr verläuft die Innenleine(7) (vgl. Figur 2). The pull-out line (6) is tubular. The inner line (7) runs in it (see FIG. 2). It extends through the stuff sack (4) to the cap (8). The inner line (7) is led out of the pull-out line (6) at an opening (10). A counterpart (11), which has a head (12), is arranged on the parachute cover (3). The pull-out line (6) is connected to this counterpart (11) by a grinding knot (13) (cf. FIG. 3). As can be seen in FIG. 3, the pull-out line (6) and the inner line (7) are a single piece. However, it would also be possible to provide a separate piece for the pull-out line (6) and the inner line (7). The inner line (7) would then be connected to the grinding knot (13) of the pull-out line (6) at a suitable point.

In the course of the further flight, the pack sack (4) held on the pull-out line (6) and its grinding knot (13) on the rear submunition (1) releases from the front submunition (2). The brake screen (5) connected to it via a connecting line (14) begins to unfold. This state is shown in Figure 1b.

When the front submunition (2) is further removed from the rear submunition (1), the brake parachute (5) deploys. His cap (8) now pulls on the inner line (7), which thereby tightens the grinding knot (13), so that the pull-out line (6) and the inner line (7) detach from the counterpart (11) of the rear submunition (1) . This state is shown in Figure 1c. The two submunitions (1,2) are now free from each other. The pull-out line (6) and the inner line (7) are separated from the rear submunition (1). They remain connected to the brake screen (5) of the front submunition (2) without disturbing it.
