Vom Gas, welches leicht entzündbar ist und bei welchem deshalb das Anlassen des Brenners kein Problem darstellt, wird inzwischen Abstand genommen, da das Gas sehr viele Gefahren in sich birgt. Nicht nur das unbeabsichtigte Entweichen von Gas sondern auch die Benutzung von Gasflaschen in warmen Ländern hat in der Vergangenheit viele Opfer ge­fordert. Zudem muß neben dem eigentlichen Kraftstoff für den Betrieb der Yacht, des Wohnmobils oder einer Zugeinrichtung ein zusätzliches Behältnis für den Brennstoff für die Wärme­erzeugungsanlage mit sich geführt werden.Yachts, caravans, mobile homes or similar facilities are now equipped with easily transportable heat generation systems in a variety of forms.
