Claims (7)

1. Verfahren zum Befestigen einer flexiblen Verkleidung (3) auf einem Gegenstand, insbesondere zum polstern eines Stuhles, bei dem ein Stück der Verkleidung über den Gegenstand gelegt wird und unter der Anwendung von geringer Spannung mindestens an einem Randteil (31) an dem Gegenstand mittels Befestigen eines streifenförmigen Elementes (5), das mindestens in der Querrichtung relativ steif ist, an diesem Randteil festgemacht wird, und Einstetzen dieses Elementes mit dem Randteil der daran befestigten Verkleidung in eine in dem Gegenstand vorgesehene Längsrille (6), die einen Winkel von ≦ 90° mit der Richtung in welche die Verkleidung (3) sich von der Rille aus erstreckt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das streifenförmige Element (5) entlang einem seiner Längsränder einen verdickten Teil (5) aufweist, der mit etwas Spiel in die Rille (6) paßt, und der Randteil (31) der Verkleidung an dem Teil des Streifens (5) festgemacht ist, der sich von dem verdickten Teil weg erstreckt.
2. Verfahren anch Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der verdickte Teil (51) in Richtung einer Seite relativ zu einer der Breitseiten des Streifens (5) vorsteht.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der verdickte Teil als Wulstrand (51) ausgebildet ist.
4. Verfahren gemäß den Ansprüchen 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Randteil (31) der Verkleidung an dem steifenförmigen Element (5) derart festgemacht ist, daß der Randteil von dem verdickten Teil (32) abgewandt ist, und der Teil (32) der Verkleidung, der von dem festgemachten Randteil (31) weg verläuft, dann über den festgemachten Randteil (31) umgeschlagen wird.
5. Vorrichtung zum Befestigen einer flexiblen Verkleidung auf einem Gegenstand, insbesonders zum polstern eines Stuhles, wobei diese Vorrichtung ein streifenförmiges Element (5) umfaßt, das mindestens in der Querrichtung relativ steif ist und die mindestens an einem Randteil (31) der Verkleidung festgemacht ist und in einer Längsrille (6) angeordnet ist, die in dem Gegenstand vorgesehen ist und einen Winkel von ≦ 90° mit der Richtung bildet, in der die Verkleidung von der Rille weg verläuft, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das streifenförmige Element (5) entlang einer ihrer Längskanten einen verdickten Teil (51) aufweist, der mit etwas Spiel in die Rille (6) paßt, und der Randteil (31) der Verkleidung an dem Teil des Streifens (5) festgemacht ist, der von dem verdickten Teil weg verläuft.
6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der verdickte Teil (51) in Richtung einer Seite relativ zu einer der Breitseiten des Steifens (5) vorsteht.
7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 5 oder 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der verdickte Teil als Wulstrand (51) ausgebildet ist.
