Abstract

A graphic display system in which a raster driven display screen (24) receives input signals from a storage device (10). Means (12) are provided to define the outline of a portion of an image and then to generate a mask (14) which is overlaid on the signals in the storage device so that only the signals representing the portion of the image inside the outline are displayed on the screen.
