Abstract

A moulding machine for the prodn. of sand moulds has a work table which can be swivelled around a vertical axis and carries a moulding box and a pattern plate for the top half and a moulding box and a pattern plate for the bottom half of the mould, on opposite sides. One moulding box is situated in the sand filling station and another in the sand compacting station.

Bei bekannten Formmaschinen der obengenannten Art erfolgt der Formvorgang dadurch, daß eine Modellplatte und ein Formkasten zusammengefügt werden, woraufhin der Formsand in den Formkasten eingefüllt wird. Anschließend erfolgt eine Verdichtung des Sandes und, nachdem der Sand eine ausreichende Festigkeit erreicht hat, eine Trennung der Sandform von der Modellplatte. Üblicher­weise erfolgt die Bedienung derartiger Formmaschinen manuell, d. h. eine Bedienungsperson steuert die ein­zelnen Arbeitsschritte in Abhängigkeit von der Zeit­vorgabe, die die Bedienungsperson jeweils benötigt. Die hierzu erforderlichen manuellen Arbeiten umfassen ins­besondere die Zuführung jeweils eines leeren Form­kastens, das Einfüllen von Formsand und der Abtransport der fertigen Sandform. Zur Unterstützung dieser manuel­len Tätigkeiten werden bei einigen Formmaschinen bereits Rollenbahnen zum Zutransport bzw. In diesem Fall ist es somit erforderlich, bei einer mehrteiligen Sandform mehrere Formmaschinen zu verwenden. Bei einer zweiteiligen Sandform sind somit mindestens zwei Form­maschinen erforderlich. Dabei erweist es sich im prak­tischen Betrieb als ausgesprochen unpraktisch und hin­derlich, daß zueinander zugehörige Formhälften in unter­schiedlichen Formmaschinen und räumlich getrennt zu­einanader hergestellt werden müssen, da es beispiels­weise nicht möglich ist, die jeweiligen Herstellungs­taktzeiten so aneinander anzupassen, daß stets die gleiche Zahl von Oberkastenformen und Unterkastenformen erzeugt werden können. Wie in Abb. 1 dargestellt, weist die erfindungsgemäße Formmaschine einen horizontal angeordneten Tisch 3 auf, welcher um eine vertikale Achse 4 verschwenkbar ist. Der Tisch 3 ist so bemessen, daß zwei Modellplatten 2 auf seiner Oberseite angeordnet werden können, wobei eine Modellplatte 2 die Formhälfte für den Oberformkasten darstellt, während die andere Modellplatte die Form­hälfte für die Unterkastenform bildet. Durch Abformung dieser beiden Modellkästen ist es somit möglich, eine vollständige Gießform zu erzeugen. Am oberen Bereich des Rahmens 11 sind zwei Schwenkhebel 9 so gelagert, daß diese jeweils um eine horizontale Achse 10 verschwenkbar sind. Die Verschwenk­möglichkeit ist in Abb. 1 durch die Pfeile dargestellt. An ihren unteren Enden tragen die Schwenkhebel 9 jeweils mehrere Lagerrollen 12, welche so dimensioniert und an­geordnet sind, daß es möglich ist, den Formkasten 1 zu untergreifen, so daß dieser auf den Lagerrollen 12 ge­lagert ist und seitlich verschiebbar ist. Zur Ver­dichtung des Formsandes wird die Modellplatte 2 durch die Hubvorrichtung 16 aus dem Drehtisch 3 herausgehoben und zusammen mit dem Formkasten 1 und dem Füllrahmen 13, die durch die Hubbewegung von ihren Auflagen abgehoben werden, gegen den Rahmen 11 der Verdichtungsvorrichtung 17 gepreßt. Die Erfindung ist nicht auf das gezeigte Ausführungsbei­spiel beschränkt, vielmehr ist es im Rahmen der Erfin­dung möglich, die Formmaschine insbesondere dahingehend weiterzubilden, daß die Trennung des Formkastens von der Modellplatte in der Sandverdichtungsstation auf andere Weise erfolgt. Beispielsweise ist es möglich, lediglich die Modellplatte relativ zu dem Tisch anzuheben, um den Formkasten in die durch den Schwenkhebel gebildete Transportvorrichtung einzuhängen. Auch ist es erfin­dungsgemäß möglich, die Abfuhr eines mit einer Form ge­füllten Formkastens bzw. die Zufuhr eines leeren Form­kastens auf andere Weise vorzunehmen, beispielsweise durch Verwendung von Hängefördereinrichtungen anstelle der beschriebenen Rollenbahnen.The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown, rather it is possible within the scope of the invention to further develop the molding machine in such a way that the mold box is separated from the model plate in the sand compacting station in a different way. Weiter­hin wurde darauf verzichtet, Einzelheiten bezüglich der Befestigung und Lagerung der Modellplatten und der Form­kästen dazustellen, da diese aus dem Stand der Technik bekannt sind.
