Abstract

A gas appliance is connected to a gas supply pipe (8) by a valve. The valve body (3) has a horizontal bore and a vertical bore which do not intersect each other. The horizontal bore has a screw thread at each end to enable it to be fitted in the gas supply pipeline. The vertical bore receives a rotatable tapered plug (5). In one position of the plug, the outlet from the horizontal bore is shut off. In the other position the outlet from the horizontal bore is shut off. In the other position the outlet from the horizontal bore is connected to the outlet (9) in the lower part of the valve body. This outlet is connected to the gas appliance.

Description

The invention relates to a multi-gas system according to the preamble of claim 1. This comprises a number of highly developed technical advantages, which as such means a considerable reduction in manufacturing costs and manufacturing times, which in turn naturally leads to a significant reduction in the sales prices for these articles.

At the moment, the valve groups through which the gas reaches the burners of the gas stoves, the heaters or any other devices which are used for more than one purpose, as well as the distribution of this gas in the form of stationary and rigid monoblock systems, are manufactured that as a result of this immobility in manufacturing they cannot find a wide range of applications.

From FR-A-859 980 it is known to arrange the individual gas taps in a monoblock, which must therefore take up the predetermined distance from one another.

The disadvantage of this is that the distance between the individual gas taps is predetermined by the monoblock and cannot be changed. The gas line is integrated in the monoblock. Therefore, a separate monoblock is required for each application and, moreover, the individual gas taps must be fitted tightly into the monoblock, which makes it difficult to assemble.

This problem also occurs with EP-A-0 205 655. Here, too, the individual gas taps are seated at the same distance in a molded body. These distances are also predefined and cannot be changed.

A disadvantage of this is in particular that the screwed sleeves must have narrow tolerances in length so that the intended O-ring fulfills its sealing function. Therefore, the assembly of the gas taps is relatively difficult.

However, such a connection method is cumbersome, especially since great precision must be used in production in order to align the drive stems of the valves parallel to one another, because the distance between the drive stems of these valves is always a rigid distance.

The object of the invention is to develop the known multi-gas system so that not only the assembly is simplified, but also the above. Disadvantages of the prior art can be avoided.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The present invention has now overcome all those shortcomings which existed in EP-A-0 205 655 as well as before, and gas valve complexes of simple design were developed which can be connected to one another by lines of any length and thus adaptable to each Configuration, can be connected, whereby the connection between the valves, after they have been installed in the application in question, is made considerably easier by a quick-release fastener.

In order to describe the essence of the present invention in more detail, reference is made to the attached drawings, where as a possible example and without exhausting all possibilities, some preferred forms of realizing the inventive idea are shown.

A′.Figure 1 shows a plan view from above of such a valve element with parallel gas outlet or on-line with the drive shaft, with special emphasis on level A-A ′.

Abbildung 2 zeigt das gleiche Ventil der Abbildung 1 im Querschnitt der Schnittebene A-A′.Figure 2 shows the same valve of Figure 1 in cross section of the sectional plane A-A '.

Figure 3 shows the connection of preferably three valves to each other via the quick coupling system.

Abbildung 4 zeigt eine Grundrißansicht von oben eines Ventilelements gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung, mit einem Gasaustritt senkrecht zum Antriebsschaft, unter Hervorhebung der Ebene B-B′.Figure 4 shows a plan view from above of a valve element according to the present invention, with a gas outlet perpendicular to the drive shaft, highlighting the plane B-B '.

Abbildung 5 zeigt das in der Abbildung 4 dargestellte Ventil im Querschnitt durch die Schnittebene B-B′.Figure 5 shows the valve shown in Figure 4 in cross section through the section plane B-B ′.

Figure 6 shows the optional connection of three Valves similar to those shown in Figure 4.

In figures 1 and 2 mentioned above, the top view and the cross-sectional view of the valve element are shown with a gas outlet parallel and on-line to the drive shaft. 1 is said stem, which is bound to the central element of valve 3 via intermediate body 2. This shaft has a safety drive system which allows the drive of this system only via or when the shaft is pressurized inwards after overcoming the return spring force 4, as a result of which the shaft is able to rotate the closure element 5, which is broken through in the central region 6 and which is connected to a lateral section 7, which has the task of enabling the passage from the main gas duct 8 to the outlet line 9, which can be connected in connection with the burner until it is used.

Position 10 shows the regulating screw for the minimum gas throughput or the pilot flame, which throttles the outlet line 11 and, depending on the stronger or lesser suit, causes a greater or lesser gas throughput in connection with the minimum throughput for the gas outlet, or up to one fixed minimum over the intended opening.

Figure 3 shows the connection of three valves 12, 13 and 14, although a connection with a larger number of valves is also possible. The connection to one another takes place via the lines 15 to 18, the length of which can be varied and which are fastened under pressure to the valve bodies 12, 13 and 14. In this way, this connection takes place more safely and quickly, without a screwing-in process or a connection via fastening flanges or other fasteners known to date.

Figures 4 and 5 are a top view and a cross-sectional view through the plane B-B ', where the gas outlet 18 is arranged perpendicular to the drive shaft 19. As in the previous figures, this stem 19 is held over the upper body 20 and conforms to the top of the central body of the valve 21. During its circular movement, this shaft 19 displaces the closure element 22, which is broken through in the outermost section, and leans against the lateral end face via the lateral line 24, as a result of which a connection between the main gas supply line 27 and the outlet line to the consumer 18 can be established.

Position 25 shows the regulating screw for the minimum gas throughput to the consumer, e.g. the pilot flame or any other minimum gas consumption point, etc. This screw 25, depending on its tightening, more or less complicates the passage of gas through the line 26 or to a predetermined minimum thanks to an opening made for this purpose.

Figure 6 shows the connection - preferably 3 valve complexes 28, 29 and 30 - via the coupling sleeves 31 to 34; these are connected to the valve body via a quick coupling system which considerably facilitates the connection to the separation of the valves from one another after the valves have already been connected to the housing of the cooker for use. These coupling sleeves can be designed in any length or configuration and are only restricted by the safety standards which are contained in the respective statutory regulations of the countries.

Thus, as can be seen from this, the connection between the valves can primarily be made at the desired distance, for which purpose the said more or less long interconnection sleeves have to be attached; secondly, it is not necessary to arrange the valve complexes in parallel or in the same plane, because by arranging the sleeves accordingly, they can be adapted accordingly. Thirdly, an indefinite number of valves can be provided for practical use, since these are not a rigid and compact monoblock. Finally, thanks to the interconnection system of the individual valves with each other, the connection and the final conception of the entire complex can be accomplished through a considerable saving of time and material, which leads to a significant advantage compared to the methods and elements which are according to the current state of the art usually used.
