Weiter ist der Konverter 20 mit einem zweiten Eingang 16 versehen, der das Triggersignal des Spiegelsystems der Laser-­Einheit des Laser-Druckers aufnimmt. Anhand des zeilen­weise vorliegenden Modulationssignals und des bei Be­ginn jeder Zeile anliegenden Triggersignals erzeugt der Wandler 20 Daten in einem Datenformat, das von dem Lichtsatzgerät 22 gelesen werden kann.According to the invention, it is proposed to use the signals converted by the signal shaping unit 26 to control the laser diode of the print unit to control the light setting device. Vorteilhaft ist weiter, daß eine Anpassung an das je­weils verwendete DTP-System nicht erforderlich ist, da die handelsüblichen DTP-Programme bereits mit einem Installationsprogramm versehen sind, die zur Anpassung an den jeweils verwendeten Laser-Printer dienen. 1. Verfahren zum Ansteuern eines Lichtsatzgerätes mit von einem Desk-Top-Publishing-Systems (DTP) erzeugten Videosignals, gekennzeichnet durch
- Ausgeben der DTP-Videosignale auf einen üblichen Laser-Printer,
- Abnehmen der Modulationssignale für die Laser-­Diode des Laser-Printers,
- Abnehmen des Triggersignals des Spiegelsystems des Laser-Printers, und
- Konvertieren der vor der Laser-Diode des Laser-­Printers abgenommenen Modulationssignale in zur Steue­rung des Lichtsatzgerätes geeignete Modulationssignale unter Verwendung der Triggersignale des Spiegelsystems des Laser-Printers.

- einen Ausgang (24) zum Aufgeben des so erzeugten Videosignals zum Steuern des Lichtsatzgerätes (22).
