Abstract

For motion detectors with a segmented Collection optics arise between the individual focusing segments dead spaces in which a radiation object can stop without one Trigger signal. With the new motion detector these dead spaces should be practically avoided.

For this purpose, a deflection is behind the collecting optics (1) optics (3) arranged, each part of the parallel to the main beam (6) of a segment (2) deflecting incident beam (8) so that at least two radiation maxima arise. These Radiation maxima meet with the corresponding posi tion change of the radiation object (13) nachei on sensor elements (7) of the sensor (5). The dead spaces are reduced so much that they practically disappear.

The motion detector is used for room monitoring inside and outside of buildings. By signal he can turn on lighting or to trigger an alarm.
