Abstract
L'agencement décrit sert à sécher une bande de papier en mouvement (3) par traitement thermique. Le traitement est effectué au moyen de sources émettrices de chaleur qui comprennent des unités thermiques séparées (8) pour l'émission de longueurs d'onde comprises dans des spectres de lumière infrarouge. L'unité thermique (8) est munie d'éléments réflecteurs de lumière. Cette unité thermique (8) comprend un élément de corps fermé en forme de boîte (18), qui s'étend sur la longueur transversale de la bande. L'unité de lampe (1) émettant des rayons infrarouges est placée dans cet élément de corps (18), tout comme les éléments d'admission (7) et d'émission d'air ainsi que les éléments de guidage (24; 6) qui servent à faire circuler les flux d'air à travers l'unité thermique (8) et à guider les flux d'air chauffés dans un espace situé entre l'unité thermique (8) et la bande en mouvement (3). L'élément d'admission (7) est relié à une source d'alimentation en air. L'élément de corps (18) comprend un élément en forme de plaque (6) faisant obstacle et placé entre la bande et l'unité de lampe émettrice (1). The thermal unit (8) is provided with light reflecting elements. The thermal unit (8) includes a closed box-shaped body member (18) which extends over the transverse length of the strip. The lamp unit (1) emitting infrared rays is placed in this body element (18), as are the intake (7) and air emission elements as well as the guide elements (24; 6 ) which serve to circulate the air flows through the thermal unit (8) and to guide the heated air flows in a space between the thermal unit (8) and the moving strip (3). The intake element (7) is connected to an air supply source. The body member (18) includes an obstructing plate member (6) positioned between the strip and the emitting lamp unit (1). The obstructing element (6) serves to prevent air from flowing from the interior (23) of the body towards the strip and allows the wavelengths of infrared light to pass. The air supply source, the guide members (24; 6) and the obstructing member (6) are arranged to cooperate with each other, thereby allowing the air flowing between the moving band (3) and the obstacle element (6) to produce an air cushion effect, a Coanda effect or the like.
