  • the fins 7 induce spin into the flight of the bouy 3 increasing its stability in flight, while the increased drag coefficient provides retardation of the bouy's terminal belocity thus ensuring a fofter impact of the bouy on landing.
  • the fins 7 may be constructed of material such as sprung steel in order that when the securing band 5 is released their material memory propells them into the inclined aspect in the air flow. Alternatively, it will be appreciated that the fins 7 could be lunged and biased to an inclined aspect.
