Mit Hilfe einer solchen Vorrichtung kann bei Profilstäben aus weichem Metall eine Ziehangel, die ohne Einstoßen in die Ziehmatrize eingeführt werden kann, durch einen Streckvorgang gebildet werden, wobei keinerlei Materialverlust entsteht. Dabei wird zunächst in einem Abstand vom Stangenende mit Hilfe eines Werkzeuges eine taillierte Verformung gebildet, die dem gewünschten Ziehangelquerschnitt entspricht. Sodann wird der Stab mit einer Klemmvorrichtung aus der Hilfsziehmatrize herausgezogen bis das Ende frei ist, so daß sich durch diesen Ziehvorgang die gewünschte Ziehangel bis zum Stabende bildet. Dabei hat man es in der Hand, die Länge der Ziehangel zu bestimmen, je nach dem, wo das Verformungswerkzeug angesetzt wird. Die Drücke, die bei der Verformung anzuwenden sind, halten sich in Grenzen, da die Verformung nur auf einer relativ geringen Stablänge beschränkt ist.With the help of such a device, a drawing bar, which can be inserted into the drawing die without being pushed in, can be formed by a stretching process in the case of profiled bars made of soft metal, with no material loss occurring. Es geht darum, an einem Profilstab 2 mit quadratischem Querschnitt und aus einem weichen Metall, zum Beispiel Aluminium oder Kupfer bestehend, eine Ziehangel auszubilden, geeignet zum Einführen in eine Ziehmatrize 1, damit diese Ziehangel an der linken Seite von einem Ziehwagen erfaßt werden kann. In einem ersten Arbeitsgang wird an dem Stab 2 mit Abstand vom Stabende eine taillierte Verformung mit Hilfe einer Hilfsziehmatrize 4 gebildet. Die taillierte Verformung des Profilstabes 2 hat den Querschnitt der gewünschten Ziehangel, bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel einen Quadratquerschnitt. Wenn der verkleinerte Querschnitt gebildet ist, dann tritt eine Klemmvorrichtung 3 in Tätigkeit. Die beiden Backen der Klemmvorrichtung erfassen den Profilstab vor der Hilfsziehmatrize 4 und Ziehen den Stab durch die Hilfsziehmatrize bis zum Ende, wobei sich eine Ziehangel 2a durch Strecken des Werkstoffes bildet. Diese Verformung ist aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich. Dann wird die Hilfsziehmatrize 4 so eingestellt, daß die Ziehangel 2a freigegeben wird, so daß sie mit Hilfe der Klemmvorrichtung 3 in die Ziehmatrize eingeführt werden kann, wie Fig. 4 zeigt. Für das weitere Ziehen kann die Hilfsziehmatrize 4 als Führungselement eingesetzt werden. Zu diesem Zweck wird sie unmittelbar vor die Ziehmatrize 1 gefahren und der Matrizenquerschnitt wird entsprechend dem unverformten Stabquerschnitt eingestellt, so daß beim weiteren Ziehvorgang vor der Ziehmatrize eine Führung gegeben ist. Die Hilfsziehmatrize 4 besteht, wie aus Fig. 5 bis 7 hervorgeht, aus vier Werkzeugteilen 4a (Verformungsbacken) von quadratischem oder rechteckigem Querschnitt in einer solchen Anordnung, daß jeweils eine Backenwand zum Teil einen rechteckigen Raum umschließt und zum anderen Teil am benachbarten Backen anliegt. Bei dieser Anordnung ist es möglich, jede Backe in zwei aufeinander senkrecht stehenden Richtungen zu verschieben, wodurch jeder beliebige Rechteck- oder Quadratquerschnitt einstellbar ist.
